I discovered this place for the first time last weekend and was amazed with the selection available. The store is beautiful inside and the owner was so helpful. The different collections available range from beautiful clothes, jewelry, handbags, and small leather goods to children’s clothing, household goods, and men’s accessories. They also had artwork and furniture. The prices were very reasonable for great, one-of-a-kind quality items. I’ll be back to visit again!

Ohemgee this place is like an Etsy wet dream, I love it. We came here last week for a friend’s opening, he’s selling some awesome artwork if anyone is in the market! BEWARE: If you type in the address(212 Columbia St.) into google it straight up puts you in the projects. Punch in Brooklyn Collective and you should make it out alive. Anyhoodle, they throw an amazing opening, unlimited free wine that never ran out, could it get any better? They also have tons of nice little things to buy to suit any style. There was a baller old school ‘20s men’s fashionwear, some amazing and eclectic artwork, tons of jewelry to suit every style(from ‘50s pin up to new-age hipster), and lots of adorable housewares to boot(the tiny terrariums are some of my faves!) They also have vintage clothing and the two women who run the shop are just as sweet as pie. Also, double bonus — Calexico’s brick and mortar is right around the corner so you can get yummy quesadillas after you’re done shopping! Win win!

I feel kind of bad giving such a low rating, but I can’t in all good conscience inflate it when comparing this store to others. I went there today and thought the(very limited) selection was quite boring. Further; the woman working there never acknowledged my presence, even though I was the only customer.

I absolutely love this place. I’ve picked up the most beautiful pieces of art, the most unique jewelry and other cravable one of a kind knick-knacks. I could spend hours pacing through their thoughtfully curated displays– the items for sale change quite frequently, making each visit a bit of an exploration. The staff/owners are warm and easy going– talking with them is always a pleasure and is one of the reasons I stop in often. I think Brooklyn Collective is hands down one of the best and most unique places to shop in the area.

Location: Inside the back of a furniture shop, 10 min from the nearest subway, on this weird bermuda triangle of Red Hook/Cobble Hill/Carroll Gardens. Ambience: Whimsy/cool Products: Well curated selection of jewelry, clothing, cups/mugs, lingerie. Independent designers with sweet jewelry pieces. Not a single piece of jewelry runs over $ 100, I don’t think. I’ve bought my favorite current jewelry pieces from Brooklyn Collective: delicate teardrop gold earrings, a ring with a black rose. I also bought my friend’s bday gift from here(a necklace with a flat semiprecious stone) and needless to say she loved it. My final verdict: The styles are contempory, the clothing a bit mod, and the jewelry eclectic; every piece selected based on character and quality, never going too high on the price point as well. My only suggestion is I wish they had much more selection of their well curated clothing and jewely.

I’m surprised nobody has reviewed this great little project yet. Brooklyn artists got together to rent a store, and take turns staffing it. It recently moved one storefront over and now shares space with General Nightmare. The two compliment each other really well. The collection is an eclectic mix of paintings, small objects, jewelry and indie craft. The artists as a group are extremely clever and talented. Keep an eye on Rachel. She’s bound to do something big.
