If you’ve ever tried S’Mac in the East Village,(or are at all a true Mac & Cheese fanatic) then you’ll likely be as disappointed as I was at the Brooklyn Mac experience. I have to note that I ordered delivery, so perhaps it’s better on the spot, when it’s still warm and maybe actually cheesy?, but the three variations that arrived to my house were dry, severely under-salted, and all around lacking in flavor given the lavish toppings described on their site. Mac and cheese should be gooey and delicious!!! This was most definitely sub standard mac and for a restaurant that serves nearly only that, I was extremely disappointed. I can make a better, cheesier Mac at home… Probably not going back

Love the Mac and cheese with bacon and chicken. Def. my favorite Mac and cheese place. Great portions and prices.

CELIACS/GLUTEN INTOLERANTPEOPLE: Make sure you call and double check or somehow reinforce at every opportunity that the noodles in your order need to be gluten free, ESPECIALLY if you order on GrubHub. I ordered from here last night — and have before with no issue — but this time the noodles were definitely not g-free, as demonstrated by the terrible pain I am in and will be in for the next few days. Don’t think I’ll be ordering from here again if they aren’t going to make sure orders are filled the way they should be, with close attention paid to allergy concerns. This negligence is really dangerous.

Do not go aboard this hype train. We ordered the park slope mac and it was the tiniest thing that was so expensive. I could make this better at home. There was nothing special about it and I was so excited to try something«new and exciting». I tried defending it to my friend and failed immensely. Not even worth defending it. It’s a sad excuse to pay so much for mac and cheese. The place is also a hole in the wall, so there’s no real seats to eat — just a ledge to sit and wait for your sad definition of mac and cheese.

Don’t get vegan cheese! It’s super weird! Glad this place exists in the neighborhood and tried to accommodate people who can’t eat regular cheese like my roommate, but the vegan cheese was not the best. Maybe if your a vegan or can’t eat regular cheese you just shouldn’t have Mac and cheese?

I would give a negative star if I could. I have always LOVED their food. I crave it weekly! However, the past 3 times I have ordered it it has been awful. I just cancelled my order after being told my order would be 20 minutes… 45 minutes later I call and my food hasn’t even left for delivery. And it’s Saturday afternoon, not peak time. So cancel, cancel, cancel for fear of my past experiences getting cold, rubbery mac(see below). The last time it took 2 hours. Yes. Two hours for delivery. The Mac was cold, and you could tell it had been sitting out. The sodas were warm. I’m not a food snob but we couldn’t even eat it. Time before that. One hour 30 minutes. Sorry, but the delivery times are ridiculous, and even worse when your food is cold and rubbery. This is my only negative review I have ever posted on Unilocal. That kind of speaks volumes.

Brooklyn Mac has good mac and cheese however I’ve been disappointed with the service as of late. The deliveries are taking longer and longer(my job is literally around the corner) and have been wrong or overcooked. In addition, the customer service in the last few months has been less the professional. I’ve heard similar complaints from friends. It’s really sad because I enjoyed the old Brooklyn Mac.

Who is the Brooklyn Mac? It’s definitely not a big mac, who would want to have those! This is an awesome Mac and Cheese place, with an extensive menu and size chart. Pros: — Great selection from Meats to Veggies — Size Proportions — Worker was very informative Cons: — None

I agree with the reviews, the place was amazing when it first opened over the years it has got a lot worse. I loved there Mac and Cheese but the portions have gotten a lot smaller. I know the delivery service was never to good so I always dropped by and picked up, but by the time I got home it was already cold(only during the winter time– summer time it’s fine) reheating it just doesn’t taste the same. Last time I order for delivery I waited over an hour, I live 4 blocks away. I will not be going back to this place– not worth the frustrating, you can get Mac and Cheese elsewhere and it’s way better.

The mac is gooood, But honestly the quantity is on the small side. And I shouldn’t have to spend 16 – 17 $ on a large mac to feel full. Its a shame they really just priced them self out in my opinion. or I would order here a lot more. Its good mac though and if price is not an issue then this place rocks.

Well, I ordered a large vegan build your own platter and got home to find it made with actual cheese. Great, I can’t eat this and I’m too far to go back. $ 13 wasted. The box even says vegan. This place sucks.

Having read the reviews online I was so so excited to try this place. In my head I expected a bit more of a restaurant vibe, however this is much more a take out /café spot that unfortunately I felt lacked atmosphere. The food selection as long as you like Mac and cheese is good and I couldn’t fault the quality and taste. I would definitely return, but maybe for lunch!

I really enjoyed the mac and cheese combinations. However, in terms of portion size for its salad is laughable. A small was the size of a can of soda and cost almost $ 8. Lite Bite across the street has portions 3x as big and so fresh! Same price! I highly doubt a few more pieces of romaine lettuce will kill your margins.

DONTORDERFROMHERE. Agreeing with other reviewers here. Orders used to be great and now I think I will never order from here again. It shouldnt take 1.5 hours for food to come. Just received my order. Got the wrong salad. Actually can’t even be bothered because i know it will take 2 hours to get the right one. NEVERAGAIN ***The 1 star was for a lovely delivery man.

I’ve gotten food here at least a ½ dozen times since they opened. When they first opened, it was very solid. Prices were decent and the quality was good for a mac and cheese joint. But over the years, it’s gone downhill. It seems to have gotten pricer and it’s not worth it for the quality that you get. The portions are small, and for some reason, it takes forever to deliver. I live three blocks away and it took an hour to show up. And when it did, ½ the dish was stuck to the top of the box. I think I’m going to stick to the mac and cheese and Keg and Lantern.

I love this concept. A variety of Mac and cheese types, definitely something for everyone. I has the Williamsburg(mushroom, green onion, tomatoes and mozzarella. I was starving and ordered a medium and it was a decent portion for the price in my opinion. My order was up in about 10 minutes. Can’t complain about that. The guy working there called me m’am, which made me feel old but I’ll overlook that. I’m sad I don’t live here because if like the chance to try more of the options they have here. In the meantime I’ll continue to ponder how to bring this concept to Calgary.

I soooooo love this place! And the choices you have amazing. I usually stop by there with the kids when we have the cravings. The kids even eat the vegan one, as long as it’s full if cheese of course. The service is great, the portions are perfect and not expensive at all. For the first time I ordered online and I was so surprised, it was delivered within 20 min! Wow I love you guys :)

Location: East Williamsburg First time there this evening and it was rather interesting. The place was a decent size and a great concept. CONS: 1. No greeting. Literally walked in and the guy behind the register didn’t acknowledge us until we had to ask him something, which may have been a couple minutes later. 2. Lack of menu knowledge. He didn’t know how to explain the different dishes, even though they’re basic but still a little more effort would have been nice. 3. RATCHETMUSIC! I mean terrible. There’s a time and place for all music genres, but I felt like I was in a damn STRIPCLUB, ass clapping music, cursing, p*ssy licking(which is cool), but still not while I’m eating my Mac and Cheese. PROS: 1. Quickly. The food was made really fast 2. YUMMY. I had the Green point and it was awesome.

If you are obsessed with Mac N Cheese like me then you should really give this place a shot. It’s cash only(what place in Brooklyn isn’t) and it is a bit on the pricy side(what place in Brooklyn isn’t). Aside from that I would order take out, their delivery service isn’t what you would say good and they take a while if you order while you are there so I recommend getting take out. The Bed-Stuy is my favorite of the three that I have had.
