The Flatlands branch of the BPL has a lot going for it. It’s clean and bright. The librarians are super nice and very helpful. It hosts the«Child’s Place for Children With Special Needs» and other kids programs. It’s in the shopping district on the B41 Avenue P stop. And hey, if you’re the kind of perv who enjoys looking at porn on a public computer when children are present and no one will stop you, then come to this library!

First off, there are no homeless people here and it doesn’t smell of urine and under arms. The staff are nice and they do their best to help you find what you need or at least tell you how you can get it. It’s fairly clean and they sometimes have a security guard who is just cool person to talk to. The shelves are a bit disorganized and it’s never seriously crowded but they do a lot of children’s events over in the kids section in which they use microphones and play music really loud which is annoying for anyone who is not involved in their little party. The one problem I have here is the amount of perverts who sit at the computers looking at PORN. These guys just sit there and look up all sorts of graphic, x-rated content with complete disregard to other people or their children. I mean you have to be a pervert to look at that stuff with people sitting next to you and little kids and teens walking by wondering why the hell you are looking at that stuff here? I even notified the staff of the porn and they said there is nothing they can really do about it. That they only say something to them when someone complains. I wonder why there is not a filter or a block for these types of websites on these computers in the first place? No one *really* needs to look at these websites in a public library now do they? It just feels like a feeding ground for pedophiles. Something should be done about it!
