I’ve gone to this branch since I was 5. It’s pretty small and run down but the staff here is nice and if you feel like it; they’ve got free wifi. Bring your laptop or whatnot if you ever feel like hanging out or studying for finals.

This is my local library, so I’m a bit biased … after all, any cons are immediately crossed out by the fact that it’s so conveniently close by. So in an effort to give an unbiased opinion, I’m giving it 4 stars. If you live close by, though, there is NOEXCUSE to come here. It’s awesome. :) The librarians have been there as long, if not longer, as I’ve been a child(so … over 10 years) and it’s strange for me to have them be constant as I’ve grown up. They’re all SUPER nice and really wonderful. The catalogue librarian has changed over the years, but I no longer really have contact with her because I can use the catalogue perfectly well on my own. :x It’s always been like this, but the library is very dominated by children and immigrants. The children swarm here to play on the computers and there’s usually quite a queue for the computers(so if you’re desperate for a computer to use, be prepared to wait 30 minutes to an hour). It’s fairly populated and there are always people sitting at the tables, reading or doing work. Ryder is clean and has a really good selection of books and is very multilingual-friendly. Despite being a fairly small library, it has a good selection of books in other languages. I personally love the«Assignments» book section, which has a great collection of classics, and the«Young Adult» sections, which has always held the right books to indulge my fantasy whims. I can’t say that much about the other sections, but it’s a good library, with a wide range of things. Oh! The cooking section is a treasure. :D
