Great coffee and food. I always enjoy taking a quick break to meet with friends here.

Really great coffee! Nutty sweet flavor expresso! The atmosphere is great and relaxed. Not too much can wait line even in a summer day. Good place charge your caffeine battery.

I came here to do some work on my laptop. I also put an iPad next to it as an auxiliary screen, so ideally I need a comfortable table, with an outlet for my charger nearby and hopefully a comfortable seat to use while working. Unfortunately, where there are tables, there are only stools and folding chairs, which are not really good for hours of sitting. The comfortable sofas are too deep to be able to sit up and type, so I guess my search will continue.

My friends and I stumbled upon Brooklyn Roasting Company when searching for a place to escape the rain. The building is very trendy, yet inviting. The staff was welcoming and attentive. We ordered a variety of coffee drinks, a smoothie, pastries and grabbed a quinoa salad from the refrigerated section. The shop has a nice variety of healthy grab and go options. My almond milk mocha was one of the best I have had in the city. The seating is not ideal for groups. The 7 of us had to split up and some of us were still left without an actual seat and had to stand at one of the large tables. The space is large enough for them to up their seating game. I will definitely be back!

Good tasting coffee, huge industrial space and dismissive employees. Everything required to be hip and happening. Go because it is something to see and do in the area. The company is also under the impression with its no receipt policies that it is environmentally friendly. So after using massive amounts of energy in shipping coffee to their company from all parts of the globe and helping deforestation of tropical locations, they are really worried about some extra strips of paper?

not the best coffee I’ve ever had, but it was pretty darn good! The space is very large and cool. Worth a visit!

Very convenient location if you are visiting DUMBO! This location is also very big and spacious. There are lots of seated areas available. Inside the coffee shop has huge bags of coffee laying around as decoration. or might probably be real! Overall, it’s a cute hipster place I would come back to if I lived in the area. Pretty relaxing place even though it gets busy here. My friend ordered the nitro and you can taste the quality of the coffee! Mine was the Maple Shay latte. They use maple as a sweetener for this one. I liked this one because I like lattes and this wasn’t overly sweet. I initially forgot to mention I wanted it cold and told them after I ordered. They adjusted my drink with no problem even though the menu showed the iced version to be 50 cents more.

Huge space, great atmosphere and even greater coffee. Staff are friendly and fast! This place is gorgeous! In a very DUMBO way. The wind brought me in one day and it was love at first sight. Espresso is full and powerful.

In a remote location of Brooklyn, we wanted some good coffee and found it! It looks like a warehouse converted into a coffee shop. There was coffee roasters on site and coffee bean bags, and they sold many different coffee beans in tin cans. I personally tried the Brazilian coffee which was bold/dark. They also offered pastries, cold brews, and some snacks on the other side of the store. They got a good vibe going on in there, so be sure to check it out.

Brooklyn Roasting Company NY: BK: DUMBO 1pm Sunday 17th April 2016 Five Stars On this beautiful Sunday Afternoon, we stopped by Brooklyn Roasting Company’s Café/Headquarters/Roastery. It is a huge space with constant line out of the door, plenty of seating, table space, people with laptops, and of course COFFEE(to smell, to see, to buy, and to drink). I decided on a 16oz Nitro Cold Brew $ 5. The default came with ice which lessens the cascading bubble effect but worth it on this New York Spring Day. The Coffee was rich, smooth, and caffeinated. I have had their coffee elsewhere but I am glad to have come to the source.

I was in the area for an event and had to kill time. Given that the area is in a remote part of Dumbo, there aren’t many places to really sit and hang around… until I stumbled upon Brooklyn Roasting Company. The place is huge and of course with very hipster settings. I ordered a cup of cappuccino and it was decent, but not the best I’ve had. The only real complaint I had was the service. They weren’t as friendly and the barista never announced my order when it was ready for pick-up. I thought they forgot my order but it turns out the pick-up was on the other side of the counter… at least they could have said something instead of having me stand on the wrong side of the counter.

Spacious, rustic, and open! It’s a great place to get work done, read up on your favorite book, or catch up with a friend. I also love their coffee. Maple Shay is my favorite but I ask for it to be less sweet. If you haven’t been here yet, stop by and enjoy the gorgeous view of the city!

Chill aesthetic, great people, and good coffee. Perfect place for both the artisan, and the family visiting Brooklyn.

Being a coffee snob I was pretty impressed. Love how the roaster is super visible and that it has a warehouse feel. Lots of open sitting with plenty of outlets to accommodate all sorts of work or phone charging. Boyfriend and I wanted some coffee before walking the bridge so made a pit stop and so we did. Only four stars however because the iced maple shay is SO sweet. too sweet. but overall highly recommended if in Brooklyn!

Wifey and I decided to venture out for a lunch date and a coffee shop date to lounge, read, and browse the web at and we ran across BRC. The coffee. It’s delicious! I’m pretty much a high maintenance freak when it comes to coffee. So trust me, it’s definitely a spot you shouldn’t miss if you’re on a date at DUMBO and happen to love coffee as much as I do. They had a variety of different roasts, tasty pastries, and a handful of different teas. The seating. There’s a whole buncha seating available; it’s not the most practical seating to do a paper but casual bench top seats here and there with some sofa seats to browse the web. Outlets were available only to the seats by the walls. The price. Very fair; comparable and if not cheaper than Starbucks Why not 5 star? Well the Wifi was as fast as my AOL56k dial up back in 1995. Parking also is not for the faint of heart. lol; take public transportation if you can! Other than the wifi, fantastic place to spend an afternoon!

I came across them while looking for a place to grab coffee in the area. The had great Unilocal reviews so decided to stop by one morning. This place is Awesome. It looks like an abandoned warehouse filled with people studying, talking being social. Their staff is friendly, their latte’s are on point and the baked goods a scrumptious. One of my favorite coffee shops in New York

I had the best coffee in town at this place and I tried quite a few. Very chilled people and nice atmosphere. You should definitely ask for their lighter roasts and enjoy those super aromatic drip coffees! Will come back for sure next time in town!

Hands down my favorite. Love love love this coffee/roaster house. From the authenticity with the beautiful roaster, sisal bags, décor on the walls, unique coffee tables, awesome tin cans to store their beans for their consumers and kind professional advice/services. We walked out of there with 6 tins of coffee beans! Now to the coffee… WOWZY! It was perfect to my pallet! I ordered my usual cap and it was perfectly bittersweet with a hint of caramel. Never had a cap that tasted like this. Super smooth. Must stop and experience this place if you’re ever in NY!

This places feels soooo DUMBO in the way only DUMBO can be(and in a really good way!). In other words: Old warehouse with high ceilings, steel stools, with some modern-artsy charm. It’s a tiny bit of a trek – it’s all the way down at the end of Jay St – but the ambiance is worth it. As another person mentioned, the large tables are excellent in that they facilitate a convivial, family-like feel. There are large couches surrounding low tables with newspapers scattered on them, so you can skim the headlines while you wait. I’ve been here a few times, and the food is only ok – sandwiches at the counter are decent, but way overpriced for their size. There’s a cooler near the entrance with more selections, but it doesn’t seem as fresh. All in all: A great place to come and get some work done or to chat with friends if you’re in the neighborhood.
