Can confirm, best breakfast sandwich around. Bread is the bomb. Great verde == bomb. Everything contains bomb

Limited selection of sandwiches, which wouldn’t be a problem if the sandwiches were worth their value. I bought the cast iron chicken and the roasted turkey sandwiches, they were incredibly tasty but so tiny if you added them together they wouldn’t be sufficient to feed 1 hungry adult. I feel like I just ordered 2 sandwiches off an expensive kids menu. I don’t recommend you waste your money.

What can I say about the porchetta sandwich that hasn’t already been said? Nothing. The other reviews nailed it… this sandwich is amazing. I’d like to try some of their other sandwiches but not sure it’s possible for me to go there and not order the porchetta.

The best breakfast sandwich in Brooklyn, hands down. No bagels needed — the bread alone is amazing and their green verde sauce is INSANELY good so make sure to get that on your sandwich! Staff is great, friendly and fast! Make sure to grab a dreamy sandwich from them before starting your work day.

Came in for«The Sandwich», which they don’t start serving until 11:00 or 11:30 unfortunately, so I settled for the breakfast sandwich. It comes with a choice of meats(bacon, ham, or turket bacon), spread(pepper aioli, mayo, or garlic spread), and bread(seeded or ciabatta). Additionally you have optional egg, avocado, and veggies. I went with the turkey bacon and pepper aioli on a ciabatta with everything. Not bad at all. It did take a bit longer than I thought it would to make, possibly because my friend and I arrived at 9am on a weekday and the breakfast rush may have been in progress. And the space by the register is a bit tight, so we had to shuffle around to make room for customers while we waited. We ate outside in the area next to the Manhattan Bridge, which was a bit noisy with the constant stream of trains going by. Next time I’d check out the inside seating area. Unfortunately they are closed on weekends and I don’t work in the area, so my odds of coming back and trying my preferred sandwich in the near future are slim.

Made to order sandwiches, the roasted meats are amazing. The spreads are really flavorful and definitely differentiate the sandwiches from others. If I lived closer to the area, I’d go everyday.

Based on the other reviews we figured we would try it. We were not disappointed! Girl at the counter was super friendly, that’s always refreshing. $ 15 for 2 breakfast egg sandwiches and 2 small coffees. Fresh bread and ingredients, really good, delicious. Clean, small store front and just 4 stools for seating. We will return! I could see this place expanding to a bigger restaurant if they play their cards right.

The small menu allows for quality sandwiches made with fresh ingredients. I literally watched the chef guy shave the carrots right in front of me. Definitely a go to when I’m in the area!

Came here on a cooooold winter day — the sandwiches are worth the wait. Excellent, warm, delicious. Come stop by dumbo and have one!

Had the Porchetta sandwich and it lived up to the hype. Well-made and super delicious. Only criticism is the wait time. I almost missed a conference call due to the wait at 1:30pm. So a head’s up upon wait time after ordering would have been super helpful. Otherwise looking forward to trying some of the other options. And will definitely be back for the Porchetta.

Tried their Breakfast sandwiches for the first time last Friday and they’re amazing! Homemade red pepper jam spread is what makes the sandwiches just superb and they cook your eggs the way you want em! Super friendly owner/chef and staff. Also tried the Giardino vegetarian sandwich and it’s one of the best vegetarian sandwiches in NYC, and my coworker tried the Porchetta and he was already talking about going back next week. The sandwiches do take time as you see they’re actually carving the meat and marinating the veggies, but it’s SO worth the wait!

This place is a gem in an otherwise unimpressive lunch environment in DUMBO. The porchetta will bring you in — really balanced flavors, great bread — and then the turkey is the surprise of the options. The chicken mozzarella is also very good, but probably the least interesting of the 3 sandwiches with meat. John and his team are very friendly and make it work with their small location. Very friendly and meticulous, the sandwiches can take a few minutes but they are well worth it.

Bread & Spread is tucked away inside of an office building to the side. It was pretty difficult to find. Owners seemed nice enough and I think we were one of the first people there. We didn’t have to wait at all so that was nice. Our sandwiches were freshly made and it was easy to tell that they use quality ingredients. We had the chicken sandwich and the turkey sandwich and they were packed up nicely. Just a heads up– the place is tiny and they have a few stools on which you can sit and eat but there isn’t much space. Food was decent and clean but there wasn’t anything amazing about the sandwiches in my opinion. I’d go back if I happened to be walking by but I wouldn’t go out of my way. Note that I did not have the porchetta sandwich, which everyone seems to be raving about. So maybe that’s why I didn’t enjoy my food as much.

Interesting place. Only in Brooklyn… I’m seeing these reviews about the Porchetta Sandwich and how great it is. I call at 8:15am and ask if they’re making it at this time(yes, I eat like a maniac). The gal replies«F*ck yes!» Now, I love F-bombs, and this was the first time I’ve ever heard one in this context, so I hurried over. Upon arriving, I found the lady alone in her kitchen, and a customer waiting on a sandwich. I asked for the Porchetta, and she realized that I was the caller, and said that the only problem with it is that it won’t be ready till 11am. It’s possible she didn’t hear me say the words«at this time» when I asked about Porchetta on the phone. It’s also possible that I’m a victim of bait & switch. Either way, her F*ck yes turned into a big F*ck no! As I was walking away, she told me she’d make the best egg sandwich in NYC. I decided to go with it, support small business(especially a WBE), and cute my curiosity. In a small oven, she was heating up some ham, bacon, & turkey bacon. I went with the ham on Ciabatta bread with eggs fried loosely(she was good enough to ask how I liked the eggs cooked), and I had her add Chipotle mayo and cheddar. I think it’s hard to turn such a commodity as an egg sandwich into«the best in NYC», but then again, you can’t get any better than a perfect 10, so that puts her right up there with the best. The only word to the wise I’d have for you if you want to try this place is to call in advance, be EXTRACLEAR about what you want and when you want it, as the owner is very smart, a good salesperson, and the place seems to be run on a «wild west» fashion. I would also advise they give customers a napkin with their adorable little take-out baggie. In all, if I’m in the area again, if probably return. Hopefully she won’t spit in my food for this review, cuz I’m actually saying that the place is pretty darn good. I hope she grows with experience and succeeds!

When I have the time on my way to work in the morning this spot is a must. Tucked away under the stairs it’s very easy to miss. They make everything there in front of you so don’t expect to be in and out fast. I’ve heard the lunch is bomb but haven’t gotten to try it yet due to the fact they run out around 2 usually and I’m not home until way later. The fact they sell out is a dead give away this place is seriously a flavor explosion in your mouth.

The Porchetta is one of the best sandwiches I have ever had!!! I think it was rated the second best sandwich in New York but I would vote it first.

Call ahead. If there’s one piece of advice I can give you, let that be it. You will spare yourself a lengthy wait. Trust me. I split the prochetta and the vegetarian with a co-worker. And, I rarely say this, but I thought the veggie was even BETTER than the porchetta. But in all seriousness, both were insanely delicious. I also spotted shrimp crackers, which I naturally had to get a bag of and enjoyed some equally excellent ginger ale. So good.

When standing outside the doors of 147 Front we thought the place was shut down. So we asked a guy passing by about an other place to go. It turned out the guy was the owner of Bread and Spread and the place was up and running behind them doors. We ordered the signum Proscetta and the turkey sandwich and wow did we like it. Fresh black coffee with it and we left really satisfied.
