This coffee joint has everything, including a fresh juice menu with reasonable prices. The baked goods are vegan friendly and I like the tea selection. There’s plenty of outdoor seating with outlets for computers. It’s a good place to do a little computer work or just relax with a book.

Food was terrible; even worse, the place is a coffee shop and they can’t make a good cup of coffee. I threw it out. Will not be coming back.

I went here the other day and the place smelled like raw sewage. Avoid at all costs. The owner is also a fan of hitler which doesnt help.

Toast was cold; my overpriced beverage watered down($ 6.00 straight to the garbage!!). I think I’ll go for my future breakfasts at a cleaner establishment that actually knows how to toast bread. It’s really not rocket science. Will certainly never be returning here.

Was there awhile ago and thought it was mediocre. Poorly roasted beans, sloppy preparation. Apparently that’s the tip of the iceberg concerning what’s wrong with this place.

My roommates and I have unsuccessfully tried to go here SIX times, and it was closed for five out of the six times. The one time we did make it in, the owner said that they weren’t serving food(we had a certificate for $ 75) but we could come the following week. We mentioned that the phone number on his website was incorrect, and the one on Facebook was always busy. He apologized and said he was out of the country for some time and that they were back on track with regular business hours. NOPE. Tried again at «regular» business hours 2 more times and we have finally given up. If a business wants to succeed, I think the first important thing is to be open. We will be exchanging our certificate and going to many other fine places in our neighborhood that we love.

45 minutes to whip up some banana pancakes and an omelette, while there was literally only one other table in the restaurant? Are you growing the bananas? This is basic short-order cook stuff. There was an awful lot of standing around and chatting in the open kitchen, which we were seated right next to. Then, the food was mediocre, with legitimately nasty home fries. Nobody bothered to ask at our table if everything was ok. The standard in this country is once per meal. And finally, I left the worst tip I’ve left in a while, and didn’t feel bad about it. It’s not about the money, on a $ 30 brunch check. It’s about sending a message– dare I say doing them a favor. They need a wake-up call to get their acts together.

I can’t really comment on the food because I’ve been waiting for my tuna sandwich for 2 hrs and 7 minutes. Luckily Seamless refunded me but this is the last time I will try this place. Last time I ordered thru Seamless, they wouldn’t pick up their phone or confirm the order at all.

I had previously written a review of this place that now comes up for a restaurant named«coco bongo»…pretty shady, but I wanted to update, so maybe this works. The best thing about this place was their 12 – 13 $ brunch with unlimited drinks. They no longer do this! We went last Sunday during Bushwick Open Studios for brunch with a fairly large party. We were a party of 8, granted, but we were the only people in the entire restaurant. Our meal literally took an hour and a half to come! We all ordered burgers– nothing too complicated! Everything came lukewarm and the fries with the burgers were the McCain kind that comes frozen in a bag from the freezer. Overall, the service was subpar, the food was terrible, don’t waste your time.

I’ve never been in person, but I’ve tried to get delivery twice and will never again! I tried to order a bacon egg and cheese sandwich, but they wanted to charge an extra fee for the choice of cheese. So my «sandwich» was delivered and consisted of 90% stale bun, the tiniest egg that took up maybe half of the sandwich and two small pieces of bacon. Definitely not worth the money or time. I will say that the dirty chai tee was good, even though half of it had exploded on route throughout the bag.

Brunch: Two Hours of my life is gone Phase One: Ordering Process After some slight confusion while trying to get a table in an almost empty restaurant, my group and I were seated and given menus. The waitress, who was also the chef, was a little confused through the ordering process. A few burgers and eggs Benedict, simple yet effective. Phase Two: The Wait While you start the 45 minute wait for your meal, you begin to take in some of the ambiance of the coffee house. While the dissembled hookahs are fun to look at, the icing on the cake is the soundtrack. I didn’t know Pandora had an «Outer-space Velociraptor Noise» channel, but let me tell you it works. Phase Three: The Food The burgers all came out at the same time. All were incorrect and missing cheeses and other accouterments. The real fun was the eggs Benedict. It came no less than 20 minutes after the burgers. It was also NOT eggs Benedict, but in fact EGG(singular) Benedict. This is now known as the Benedict Arnold. Phase Four: Payment The $ 4 charge for«open food’ which no one could explain, was easily removed from the check. In summary, I will never come here again. I give you one gold star(though your music gets 5!). FYI — If you need to use wifi, the name of the network is «BushwichCoffeeHouse»

I went there to get bagels in the morning on a Sunday. I ordered three bagels and then was told five minutes later that they didn’t have one of the types. 15 minutes later we were finally given our bagels. When I returned home two of the orders were incorrect. The other bagel they amazingly got right — was a plain bagel untoasted without anything on it. Also I never have received a bagel with such little cream cheese on it before. The overall feel of the place is scattered and disorganized as many of the reviewers have said. I will never be returning back.

I went here for brunch last weekend and you can tell this place still needs some work. I waited about 40 minutes for eggs Florentine(made with 1 egg, unseasoned spinach and no sauce… for $ 11), while customers who came in after me were all fed first. The space was a little hectic(there were painters, a DJ, people working, etc), and there was only 1 guy working. I wouldn’t go back for food, but it might be better at night for drinks.

I haven’t yet had the food so I can’t comment on that but I stopped in for tea recently and had a lovely evening. They recently started doing a games night on Friday nights so I stuck around and played board games with some other people from the neighborhood. While I agree that this business is still trying to find its focus and see what works in this space, I really like that 1) the service is friendly 2) the menu is diverse(though not consistent), offering interesting items like tofu & asparagus tacos 3) the clientele is very diverse(unlike most of the bars or coffee shops in the neighborhood, which are either all Latino men or all young gentrifiers) 4) the owner seems genuinely interested in sourcing locally-grown produce and offering healthy options to the community. I hope that the coffee shop is able to find its focus and get it together because they really do have the potential to be a great hangout.

I’ve been to this place time and time again. I do not live far, so it’s always that place that’s right before i get home that i try and stop through to grab something. first off, they always take FOREVER with everything. I get take-out and i’m there for 20 minutes, MINIMUM… when NOBODY is in there. Nobody seems to know what’s going on. and then the space. what a waste of space. and i agree with the other review. this place has no focus, no identity… it’s all over the place. when i went for bushwick open studios i spoke with a chick who said this would be a healthful food restaurant. it totally is NOT. the food sucks. and none of it is healthy. the coffee is subpar, and the management is clueless. i had high hopes for this location. the space is huge and has tons of potential. if it closes down, i may look into taking it over myself.

I’m trying to refrain from writing negative reviews because I think the majority of people only write reviews when they’ve had a horrible time, and not for the good times. So I figured I leave the negative reviews up to others. But I HAD to write a review about this place. I started going here for coffee when they first opened and they had an adorable and very talented barista who made me want to come back time and time again. So I did. Their coffee wasn’t the best, but she knew how to work their machine and it was very good, especially for the lack of coffee in that immediate area. Everyone I knew in the area would go there only for coffee from her. Everything else about the place is odd, though. Once I got an egg/cheese croissant and it was disgusting. I couldn’t even eat it. It was the same quality you’d get at a cheap bodega anywhere, only a couple bucks more expensive. Their muffins and counter food looks like it comes out of a package or from Restaurant Depot or Costco or something. The energy of the owners(I assumed were owners) was strange. Not owners you’d really want to interact with. I could tell how mismanaged they were just being a customer there observing. Once the barista left I stopped going. Then I found out the owners don’t pay their employees. Or at least one employee that kept their business going, working so hard 7 days a week for many months. Now THAT is Bullsh*t. So I will NEVER go back. And I actively tell people not to go. And how horrible the owners are. I can never support an establishment that doesn’t pay their employees.

My friend and I were looking for Dear Bushwick and ended up at this coffee house. They have a brunch special until 5pm(which is awesome!), my friend and I arrived at 5:15pm and asked if we can order breakfast food. They were nice enough to let us have the brunch special, plus unlimited Mimosas! I had the Sandra omelette, which was amazing. My friend had the veggie omelette, which was also delicious. The service was great, by our server and the owner. They also have a Happy Hour special until 10/11pm Monday through Friday. Can’t wait to check that out!

uugggghhh! Everything about this place is 1 star. What a let down. I was SOEXCITED for them to open when I first heard about and went to this place during the opening night for Bushwick Open Studios last year. It must have different owners because at the time I thought it was going to be a very different establishment than what it turned out to be.(*for what I thought it would be please visit Salad Wheel for food and than Goodbye Blue Monday for drinks & music*) The place currently has no personality, no concept, no menu, no idea who they are. The space itself is awesome and could thrive under the right management and I wanted to give it two stars for it’s sheer size and potential… but I have to deduct a star because of the name. Bushwick Coffee House? Really? That’s your name? This isn’t a neighborhood spot that’s been here for years… it’s a brand new place that moved into a neighborhood home to some of the best coffee in the city(i.e. little skips, wyckoff starr) This type of place might do OK in the suburbs but if you’re new to Bushwick, trust me there are far better options.

It is obvious that who ever owns this place has no idea how to run a coffee shop. This place is dirty and constantly out of stuff. do not waist your money here. A horrible start to a business only 3 months old.
