The people here are nice, but I can’t recommend them at all anymore. We’ve used them for over a year, but not anymore. Nowadays, they have a tendency to use up a 32-load bottle of laundry detergent in three loads, and it probably wasn’t with your clothes. Either they’re being insanely generous with the detergent or just randomly using your detergent for other people’s loads. I’m pretty sure it’s the latter because even with an unscented detergent, my clothes always come out smelling like a different shade of floral — so I’ve probably been the receiving end of someone else’s detergent. I highly recommend La Cleaners & Tailor on Union Street if you’re going the wash and fold route; it’s a bit of a trek but they use the detergent you give them, everything’s always nicely folded and socks actually match. I’ve never had a problem using the machines myself though. They may eat your coins but someone usually comes over quickly to fix it.

100% agree with all the reviews lamenting Mo moving on — the service has taken a huge dive since he left. A bad experience today was the last straw for me. They lost a customer of 5 years.

Worst customer service. They will turn you away if you arrive a few minutes past 8. I’ve lived here for years. No exceptions. Absolute crooks

I’ve been using this place for the last 3 years, and I’ve seen the decline in service. Have to agree with Yvonne V’s review. Mo is/was fantastic(he’s been gone for a few months). However, the women that work there are rude and hostile. You are an inconvenience to them doing your laundry there. Moving my business elsewhere as a result!

Horrible. If you do your own laundry fuggedaboutit. The place is cramped. All the dryers are often full of dry clothing waiting for the staff to fold, and the few folding surfaces are packed with folded clothes waiting to be bagged by the staff. Finding a place to do your own laundry is tough. But the real dealbreaker is the unfriendly and downright hostile attitude. The people who work there, especially the women, resent the fact that you are in their space. A simple question(Excuse me, where can I fold my stuff? Is there a spare cart? How long does the giant washer take for a cycle?) will be ignored — as in, they look at you, and look away without replying. If you insist, the answer is rude and aggressive. ??? Customers who do their own laundry are an intrusion. After three visits I’ve had it. All it takes is courtesy, folks. See ya. *** Update! Henry Street has the answer: KT Laundromat, 416 Henry Street ***

These people are delightful, especially Mohammad(Mo), who is the nicest man in the world and really loves people.(He also has a forensic psychology degree, fyi.) Some of the temporary staff don’t speak very good English but they’re diligent and always get someone to help you if they can’t. Salaam and Al are also delightful individuals. All laundry service are basically similar but this one comes with a lot more community spirit. They are also cheaper than some of the fancier ones, but the service is the same.

Everyone who works here is absurdly nice, but the washers and dryers are overpriced, often broken, and the staff takes them up instead of leaving some open for paying customers. I’ll keep doing my laundry here because it’s close, but I’d go elsewhere if there were more options. Bleh.

Forget the haters, this place rules. Personable staff, open later than other places in the hood, and they always do a great job when I drop off my laundry. They have nicer machines than bubble wash a few blocks down. This place is a little out of my way but I always go here, it just feels like a nice neighborhood spot to me.

Everyone here with a bad experience at this laundromat, I am shocked. I have been going here for nearly 2 years. The staff are super friendly and sweet. Not once have I had any kind of issue with them. I can’t speak for the machines as I pay for my clothes to washed In addition, they do an awesome job. My clothes are always folded neatly, soft, and has an extremely light scent. They r also very cheap by the pound, considering the neighborhood. I don’t go anywhere else to have my clothes done because they are great for their price. Their dry cleaning however I found a little pricey. But that to they did a good job on.

This is an absolutely awful place. Many of the machines do not work properly. When you ask why your clothes are still wet after 50 minutes, they say you have overloaded the machine when all you have is your cotton exercise clothes in there! They don’t even bother to look or help. I walk a few extra blocks to a laundromat where the staff person is pleasant and the machines WORK.

I don’t get all the hate. I use their wash and fold service and in the two years I’ve been coming here have never had anything lost or messed up.

This is a mediocre laundry. They advertise free pickup and delivery. This is true, but the hours they do so is limited, and they are frequently much later than they say they will be. Dry cleaning is also returned late, and the staff blame it on their computer system printing the wrong time on the ticket. After giving them 3 chances, I’m looking somewhere else.

I have never hated a laundromat so much. Since seemingly everyone in my neighborhood pays to have their clothes washed and dried, there is hardly ever a machine open, but many with cycles done and clothes just sitting. The staff could hardly be less friendly about this and about the occasional need for change. Every time I’ve asked for assistance they stare at me as if I’ve asked them to loan me fifty bucks and bake me a cake. It’s ridiculous. All I want to do is wash and dry my clothing not feel like my mere presence is a huge burden. Sadly, I feel forced to go to this place since the only other laundry washing facility has terrible hours and I don’t really want to walk more than 3 blocks to wash my socks. I can only hope that my lack of love of the Carroll Garden Laundromat will result in a new year’s resolution and some better planning.

This laundromat is 1 ½ blocks from the hizzy, ergo it is my laundromat. Open 9AM-10PM I think. Last wash is 8:30. Dry cleaning takes 3 days but is reasonably priced. There is a 1 day dry cleaner on Smith near 1st Place if you’re in a rush.
