I’ve been going to this place for years amazing Chinese food and the sushi is out of this world. I have been recommending this spot for years to all my friends and family. My favorite dish is the kung po chicken. I would have no doubt that if any one of you would come here, you would not be disappointed, trust me. Enjoy the food!!!

I love their food and order often, but I dislike that they charge my card and then the driver wants to write down my card number, name, and code on the back. My card info has been stolen in the past. The card is ran before they even leave the restaurant with the food. There is ZERO reason for the driver to write down my card information. I had to argue with the guy this evening in reference to me refusing to allow the guy to write down my debit cards information. I have no problem with him writing down the last 4, but not the whole card.

Taste and not as greasy as your ordinary local Chinese restaurant, deliveries are quick and the food is good, no complaints, sat in once when it first opened up in sheepshead and it was very nice and cozy

Ordered the sesame chicken. Not bad if your in the mood for Chinese food. As per the other items on the menu. Nothing to lose your pants over just some good old fashioned Chinese food. Better than the other small local Chinese food places.

Wow! Waited for an hour and 10 min for delivery Told the restaurant it was unacceptable and was told that next time they will provide a more accurate wait time — what bs The driver was crazy rude, told us pick up in lobby not 2 min later called and yelled to hurry up

I hardly write reviews on Unilocal but this is the worst experience I’ve ever had here. Not worth your money. DONOTWASTEYOURTIMEHERE. Food was not good. Expensive and not fresh. I wish I can give them 0 stars.

HORRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE We ordered food tonight and my fiancé asked to pay by card. They said okay, asked for the last 4 digits which were on file. Our food is delieverd and my fiancé gives the delivery guy a tip as the delivery guy gave him the food. The delivery guy came back and said we have to pay by cash, our card was not charged. My fiancé calls the restaurant as the delivery guy waits and was told by the person who answered the phone that the card was not charged. As my boyfriend is speaking to the person on the phone, the delivery guy states«im too busy, cant wait». Leaves with the food ANDTHETIP. The person on the phone said they will charge the card however the food and our tip left. Long story short after explaining all of this, we got our tip back and the food was returned to the restaurant since the delivery guy took the food. WEWILLNEVERORDERFROMTHISPLACE. If i could rate with 0 stars i would.

Lived in neighborhood for a long time. There must have been a reason I’ve never been to this place. Went there for a dinner with my husband. I made myself eat that shrimp eggroll– it was too greasy. Chicken dumplings were eatable. Didn’t enjoy though. The fried oysters were disgusting! I took a bite and couldn’t hold it in my mouth, spat it in a napkin. Told the waiter, but he didn’t seem to care to ask if I wanted something else instead. He didn’t want to take them away from the table. Then of course he didn’t want to take it off the check. I’m in restaurant business myself. I was very upset about them not caring about their customer being satisfied(I’m not talking about being pleased here). All in all. After waiting for some time he came back with a check dropped it off with attitude. Very rude. Very bad experience and tasteless or disgusting food.

I have passed this place so many times with the GIANT«Chop Stix» sign and always wondered about it. Finally decided to go about a week ago. I can’t find anything I didn’t like about this place. The design and the interior decorations are beautiful and the space is very clean. There are a bunch of tables to sit at as well as a sushi counter/bar. There were not a lot of people when we came in to eat, but the place is very huge. Each table gets an order to crispy, noddle-like chips to eat before dinner which was a nice touch. I ordered a glass of their plum wine which was great, a bit sweet. For dinner I ordered the Peking Duck. I was nervous because duck with me is usually a hit or miss. In this case, the duck was a HIT! The skin was so delicious and crispy, the meat very tender and flavorful. Perfect amount of meat. It also came with four very doughy buns, plum sauce, and some greens to make kind of a sandwich. This was great, but think I preferred the duck with just the sauce better. The place was truly great, I’d love to come back again. Exceptional service all around!

I have been coming here for a year now and I have several stories that show the quality of staff AND food. First off, the staff. The staff is incredible and has high integrity. I left my BRANDNEW phone on a table and walked out, was already IN the car and about to drive off with my Dad when our waiter runs out to hand back my phone! Another time, I didn’t like a dish having sauce on it because it made the noodles feel not as crunchy for me(Cantonese deep fried noodles) and asked for them to change it and put the sauce on the side… they did so immediately and even had the main chef come out, apologize and ask if it was to my liking and if they could make it up to us. Amazing! Next, the food. Food is always tasty! If you are a picky eater like I am(allergies to certain foods), tell them what you like and they will work with you to make what you like. Extremely accommodating and it comes out tasting the way you want it to. The prices are good as well. The ambiance of the place is cozy. Even has a mini bridge inside that goes over a tiny«Koi Fish Pond.» Every time I leave this place, I look forward to the next time I will return. Absolutely try it — especially if you’re in the area!

Ordered a wonton noodle soup for pick up and they forgot my noodles. How do you mess up such a simple order?! Not to mention they used the wrong type of wonton and I’m sure if they had included the noodle it would be the wrong kind. Plus my wontons were so poorly wrapped they were falling apart on me making it difficult to eat. Never had dine in here before but according to my boyfriend the staff here is extremely rude.

AMAZING restaurant. Amazing food. Just wow. We were served right away. Loved the food and the set up. When we sat down we were served fried noodles with was a good snack. I ordered a shrimp tempura roll for appetizers which was amazing and the waiter was really nice about my dislike to avocados. Next came the meal. I ordered sesame chicken which was amazing. I just wished they added broccoli to the chicken. The price was way less than expected. At the end we were given fortune cookies and, get this, hot washcloths to wipe our hands with.

Great local take out sushi and for an occasional drop by for a quick lunch or dinner. Their Peking Duck comes on those thick circle buns which is one of my go to dishes over there but you need to ask for extra buns as the order only comes with 4. They are fairly priced and take an average time for delivery. Their menu has a huge variety and most of the things I have tried here are delicious. They even have a sushi menu to add to the huge variety but the sushi is below average in my opinion. When ordering family style it can get a little pricey but when ordering lunch specials & combos they are priced good. Def check it out if you are tired from your local Chinese take out place. P. S. Waiting for my office lunch order now… that shit better be good HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!

The service was OK — food was pretty good — I thought it was expensive for what it was. Sushi rolls(regular vegetarian rolls) were almost $ 5? Nope, not in this part of Brooklyn! I ordered Shrimp Pad Thai — portion was huge — taste was kind of bland. My friend ordered Mango Chicken — the sauce was very thin and again, tasted bland. So many other better Asian«Fusion» places in the neighborhood.

ChopStix is most definitely one of the most unique Chinese Restaurants compared to other areas of Brooklyn where it is more fine dining as opposed to take out. I only tried to Chinese menu and not the Japanese menu so Ill have to update my review if I return for some sushi. The décor of this place is very inviting and pleasant, with red walls, polished wooden tables and couches up against the wall, a huge space and a nice little pond and small bridge near it, they certainly put some thought into renovating the place, didn’t differ too much from PF Changs. There are some things that hold me back from giving this place 5 stars though: Cons: The minute I walked near the kitchen to exit to the bathroom downstairs, a very putrid smell was coming out, like a combination of fish and dirty dish water, I was honestly even able to smell it towards my table[I knew it was the water because the plastic cup that my drink was served in had the same scent after they washed it, EW]. Had there been no smell I would of easily given this place 5 stars the staff’s English was not that great, I felt like I had to repeat my orders several times for them to really understand what I wanted, that was kind of a hassle Pros: the bathroom was very clean and fully stocked, looked brand new too the menu itself is huge with a four course option and plenty of specials for Japanese items or a combo of both Japanese and Chinese items the portions are huge, so you do get what you pay for, definitely enough to share for two the sesame chicken was amazing, perfect amount of sauce and big pieces, had a nice kick to it the egg rolls were huge and not too oily and crunchy, it is a big win there was endless refills on crunchy noodles with dipping sauces, yay the fried rice had plenty of pork and egg in it, and wasn’t too salty, it was actually perfect and huge in size, didn’t feel too heavy either pan fried dumplings with pork had tons of flavor and a nice crunch to it, it comes with yummy soy type of sauce the boneless spare ribs had a good sauce glazed on them but it was a bit too fatty for my personal preference, at least it was thick pieces the service was really fast despite how packed the place was, I didn’t wait more than 20 mins at most for all my items the prices are fair, it ranges from $ 15 – 30 a person they are open late hours and do free delivery would come back here? to dine in definitely not, but for take out or catering I would order 1,000%!

I mean, my coworker raved about it. Said it’s so much better than regular spots. Is it more beautiful? Sure. Is the staff excellent? Definitely! But, the food isn’t any different. Same thing, different platter. Maybe the quality might be a bit better, cuz I didnt feel like a nap after I finished. Anyway, at least I got to try the place. PS: The little bridge that separates one area from another is really cute.

12÷22÷14 Stopped in to get soup today but left empty handed. When I entered I approached counter and looked at menu when I was ready I looked at the people behind the counter to see if anyone was ready to take my order. One lady was on the phone and the guy in front of me glanced but looked away then answers the phone so I waited. Another woman enter the restaurant but instead standing behind me who’s first she walks right up to the counter as if she’s next. She clearly showed that she was in a rush and planned to get her order taken immediately. Now I am used to dealing with people who have a sense of entitlement/privilege but I would think businesses today can as well. Well when the guy behind the counter gets off the phone I expected him to ask me if I was ready but he didn’t — he immediately took her order without hesitation! Of course I didn’t let this go without letting him no that I didn’t appreciate what he did. He states that he didn’t no I was ready — did you ask or greet me is my question– no you didn’t. You apparently didn’t care if I was ready. I walked out without placing an order and let him no that I did not appreciate what he did. Just rude and disrespectful!

Ahhhhh Chop Stix! My mom and I came to Chop Stix for a quick dinner. It’s a really good Chinese restaurant on Nostrand avenue. We both had wonton soups to start. And for main course I had chicken with broccoli and brown rice, and my mom had Pad Thai, both of our meals were really good. The portions are HUGE, two people can definitely share one meal of they are wanted to. The food tastes so fresh and it comes out quickly. Our server was really friendly and attentive, and the place is always really clean. Best Chinese food I’ve had in Brooklyn.
