I got two chicken tacos for 7.50 which is more than any other place in the neighborhood and when they came, the tacos were very skimpy and bland. Disappointed.

Wandered in on a Saturday afternoon. Perfect spot for a relaxing, leisurely lunch with a friend. Charming décor, attentive staff and a very varied menu. Background music was interesting without being obtrusive. We had guacamole and huaraches, and both were delicious — complex flavored and textured without becoming fussy. Good beer selection too!

I have eaten here 3 times now with my teenage son and it is consistently delicious. He loves any of the burritos and we always get a side of guac which has been really good. I was pleasantly surprised at how fresh and delicious my salad was, the ensalada de allende. The décor and lighting is not the best but other than that we really enjoy it here.

Came here yesterday for some dinner with a friend. Was greeted very nicely by an older lady who was very very pleasant! We decided to sit at the bar & they brought us chips & salsa right away. For an appetizer we ordered the nachos & mmm they were finger lickin’ good! The main dish did take a little long to come but once we got our food it was so good we forgot about the wait. Lol I also saw the happy hour menu & I will definitely be returning soon :-) The only thing I did not like about Pancho’s is the décor & lighting :-( But everything else was great!

Delicious authentic Mexican food. Decided to give this place a try after looking up Mexican places in the Bay Ridge area. The guacamole and enchiladas were all phenomenal

The family is amazing! So welcoming Burritos and chicken soup are the best in the hood, everything else is meh, note don’t use a credit card for delivery, they are usually way too busy to take your card number and give an attitude, but delivery is fast always!

I don’t know how I haven’t reviewed this place sooner! Coszcal(formerly known as Panchos) is an extremely authentic Mexican Restaurant in Bay Ridge that is family owned. The food here is very good. I have tried numerous dishes here from tacos to enchiladas to the entrée plates and everything is very good. Notably my favorite picks would be the chicken enchiladas and the pork entrée. The meat is well seasoned and the rice and beans are good as well. This place also makes really good drinks! The Margaritas are on point every single time. I highly recommend enjoying a nice drink with your meal here(mango margarita is my fav). They also have a backyard seating area for the warmer months which is nice. The décor inside and out is all Mexican inspired and really gives you the feeling that you are not in Brooklyn/Bay Ridge anymore. This place is really cute and the service is very nice I highly recommend!

This place has consistently good food. The back patio is a great place to relax and have a good mixed drink in the summer. It’s my favorite Mexican spot in the area.

So my husband and I came here after I found it on Unilocal. He loves Mexican food. Its a small place that looks to be run by a family. Just the kind of place I love. We were shown a table and before we even finished taking our coats off we had chips and water on the table. The salsa with the chips is the best, sweet at first with a kick at the end. Like the old lady in the Franks redhot commercials«I put that sh$t on everything!» The guacamole is homemade, chunky and on point! I had the shrimp ceviche and I must say unlike other places no small pieces of shrimp here. It’s whole shrimp with onions and avocado and more chips! For our meal my husband had a burrito and I had a quesadilla hechas a Mano they were the perfect size. Not overly gigantic that makes you feel like a slob when you eat it, Just the perfect size so your full. Drink wise he had a Corona and I had a Paloma which was perfect. Surprisingly the cost of the meal was really lower than excepted. Our total was less than $ 60! To sum it up it was a great meal and I will definitely be returning especially to try happy hour!!!

This place is changing quite a bit in the past two years, including decors, menus and price, Nachos are still so damn good! Happy hour specials are worth going! but the portion is reduced quite a bit, we ended up ordering quite some dishes and still not fully full! Margaritas is the way to down all the nachos and tacos! I like mine w/o salt ;)

Great hidden gem! Pro: service is great! Polite n attentive Great drink menu, including horchata. I always get something different, never disappointed. Last meal was sopes and sopa azteca. Love the salsa for the tortilla chips. And a beautiful colorful backyard. No Cons:)

Very average, not sure what everyone is raving about, it’s a mystery. Average ingredients, tough steak, half filled enchiladas.

The food is very good, and the Paloma is the best drink they make. They also have a great back yard to dine in, and the staff seems to be pretty patient with children. But man, just know the service is extremely slow. And I’ve been here a few times now, and they always seem to forget something from the order.

I stumbled across this fabulous mexican restaurant today and wow what a treat! Right away I was greeted by the friendly hostess/waitress and she even provided her recommendation on what I should order. My food was absolutely tasty and the best part was the glass of red sangria that I ordered on the side which is only 5.00 during happy hour. Im not in Bay Ridge often but if I ever come back you bet i will be visiting here again! I cant wait to try the other goodies on the menu.

BESTVEGGIENACHOS I’VEEVERHAD, anywhere in the world. Everything else is pretty good too but I go here for the Nachos. I’ve tried Nachos in a hundred different places and being a vegetarian, I’ve never really found anything up to mark. Nachos aren’t obviously an authentic mexican dish, but this place BRINGSIT.

Came here on Cinco de Mayo and apparently they were not prepared for the traffic. The great part is that there is a pretty decent sized backyard. No-frills or anything but pretty relaxed and great to get some fresh air. The waitstaff seem very nice and were very apologetic, but it definitely took about 40 minutes even for our drinks to come. That being said everyone like their food. I got the shrimp enchiladas with salsa Verde. Although it is unacceptable to wait 40 minutes for service I think that they are usually pretty quiet and did not expect the amount of people that were there. I am still giving four stars based on the quality of the food, friendliness of the people and cool looking space. The indoors also looks very nice and colorful. Keep in mind it is the type of place that does the very basic taco with only meat cilantro and onions.

This was my first time here. I’ve never seen this place, its like a hidden cute spot. The salsa for the chips they put out is sooo good. The service was great, the waitress nice. The two times I had just finished my water the waitress was right there on time to fill my glass. I was disappointed in the meal size, I guess because I was really hungry ha. Also my food was not hot at all, very disappointing. I had the enchiladas. I wasn’t in love. The cheese wasn’t melted and oozing, popping it in the microwave would have done a better job. I had pegao(the hard part of rice at the bottom of a rice pot) and considering it was a small portion of rice that wasn’t cool. I put the salsa sauce over everything which made it more enjoyable for me. I was still hungry, which I never am so I ordered a taco also wanting to see how it was going to be. The taco came out nice and hot! Tortilla nice and warm unlike the enchilada. So peeps don’t forget to check that the food you put out is hot, no getting lazy. It was a bit salty than my taste buds are used to but it was really good. I love horchata so I had to try it here. It was the best I’ve had so far. It’s a sweet drink. I was glad to hear they just made it. I will go again and give them a second chance to redeem their enchilada dish.

Definitely the best Mexican food in bay ridge by far. And some of the best margaritas you’ll find around. I’ve never had a bad meal here the tacos, burritos, menu specials it’s all been good. The food is legit the drinks are tasty and strong the service is good What more can I ask for
