I’m a cemita eater. I am eating a pollo asado cemita from D&E and it is big and delicious. You should eat one too. If you don’t like it then I can’t help you.
Between this place and Mash Allah across the street, this stretch of CIA is quickly becoming BK’s new restaurant row.

D&E opened around the middle of last year, in what used to be a cheap Chinese place (Lucky Panda). They moved things around a little but it still has some of that Chinese-​takeout atmosphere.
I found their steak burrito to be pretty disappointing, with big, tough slices of meat, but the tortas are just about what they should be. I also like the cheeseburger, which starts out with a McDonald’s-quality patty but absorbs a certain something from all the built-​up flavors on the griddle.
