They now have a $ 5 card minimum and the high barista turnover has led to some terrible espresso drinks recently. Sad to have to find a new neighborhood spot :(

The BEST baristas. Well above-average drinks. No frills décor, always tidy. Free wifi. Chill music. Reasonably priced. Yummy baked goods and now, apparently burritos(!). This is my staple coffee shop. Only con is the small tables. If you’re on your laptop, you might want to use one of their stools as a side table for your drink(hope this is cool w/you guys, Daily Press)

Came here for drinks. limited options. My husband had a bottled water and I had an iced tea. Nice place to hang out to work or just meet up with a friend to chat. I had the lemon and ginger iced tea — it taste strange to me.

In a Brooklyn overflowing with vintage themed hipster coffee shops, the aesthetic of the neighborhood has become quite the cliché. However, while the wooden seats of Daily Press reflect that image, you won’t find a turn of the century hipster with a handlebar stache working the espresso machine. In fact, the people here are pretty regular and care less about the images of their coworkers fitting in with the surroundings, and more about the quality of their brews. The maple latte, my personal favorite, is heaven in a cup. And I was delighted to see they often serve Dough Donuts. All in all, this place is on point. Recommend their cold brew for a summer morning jolt! Also, no crappy obscure hipster music here, which to me, is the final piece of the puzzle in successfully creating a cozy coffee corner in the heart of Williamsburg.

This place is solid, especially with limited coffee choices on the southside. They have Irving Farm coffee beans, but it doesn’t quite taste like the coffee at their own stores. Still a good cup of coffee and service with drinks are super fast. However when ordering food that is when things are lost in translation. They can’t seem to keep orders straight(multiple times have I ordered a bagel with cream cheese only to end up finding butter when I get home). They are also bad at remembering who ordered an item first since they don’t take down your name. I have waited over 20min before after my order was given away to someone who was there for only a few minutes. With this said the food there is really good. Bagels and pastries are fresh daily and the bagels are killer. They do breakfast burritos which were originally coming from Stans but since he closed they make their own. They are good but not as good as fresh from Stan’s. At least they got his green hot sauce which is our favorite. So to recap, quick with coffee, slow with food but if you have time to wait it’s going to be good and be prepared for some messed up orders from time to time. Still one of the best places to get a coffee on the Southside.

Great brew! Quiet, easy place to work but not many tables. The service isn’t so great, but hopefully they’ll get it into gear soon. But it’s a good little coffee shop, needed in this part of Billyburg!

Hands down my favorite coffee shop. The drinks are great, whether you’re going for a traditional coffee or one of their amazing speciality drinks like The Vermonter. Also, the staff is super friendly. If the coffee doesn’t make you want to return, the staff will. The vibe definitely gives a neighborhood feel. Also, inside the shop is very quaint. Plus, on the weekend they sell Dough doughnuts!

Had a thoroughly zen coffee experience at this place. My cappuccino was very smooth: the milk was next level and the frothing was artful. It was almost like an organic Vienna mélange. The coffee is not a punch in the face like so many American coffee shop coffees either. It was balanced sophistry and above all discrete. The energy is suitably civilized. Intelligent baristas who may have children and write poetry in the rest of their lives. It’s a good place to write. A small table of random handmade crafts added texture to the experience. I’ll be back when I feel balanced enough to chill there.

Hey, if you ever feel like visiting San Francisco, but can’t afford it, there’s a slew of Brooklyn-based coffee shops that capture the aesthetic essence of The New San Francisco — home of the $ 3 pour-over, wooden minimalist café counters that display no more than four pastries, and millennial technorotis silently touch-typing on a family of Apple products in the middle of the workday. This is one such place.

Coffee is not what I expected, usually people that work in the area sit there to their work with a laptop. Last was there the staff were not that friendly.

Single origin Irving Farm espresso! Plus quite a few places to sit. Haven’t been able to try Otha’s yet because I can never get a spot sit. Not much choice for good coffee around south Williamsburg. So this is place is good if you’re near the J or M train. Plus more space than Otha’s.

It is nothing to write home about. In a land of 1000 coffee shops I see no reason why this ones needs to exist. Everything is perfectly average. I have had a few americanos and a lattee. The service can either be swift or take a little too long, the pricing is in line with everything else in the area, there is very minimal seating, and the coffee itself is good, but I can’t say great. I won’t avoid Daily Press, but I can’t say I would seek it out either.

First time here, I was looking for a place to get some work done before a morning meeting. The barista was very friendly, and the pour over coffee I got was reasonably priced at $ 3.50. I had biked and stupidly forgot my bike lock, so the barista let me stash my bike in the backyard of the establishment. That was the kicker for me. Awesome place, definitely coming back.

I’ve never rate less than 5 stars but damn! I went for two(2) bagels c. c &J. They were running around and they took almost 10 min. At the end it was a mess, bagels were cold and tons of cream cheese no jelly. For the record, the place was empty so there was no excuse.

Once upon a time, I was sitting at railroad station in far away land, killing time, waiting for my train once again. Long seats along the walls, there was a peace and quietness about it. Few people came and left, and I was left alone with my waiting. Daily press reminded me of that. Don’t know if it’s those benches, or the atmosphere that makes time fly easily… Or chill-no-frill attitude about whole thing. Coffee was good, with that rich flavor you been waiting for all day(the first sip… looove) — and sea salt chocolate chip bar was simply amazing. Crumbly, not too sweet — chocolate is always good with a little bit of salt. Delivered fresh daily. …I want those daily, from Daily Press. See ya again really soon.

Great vibe, good people watching, and solid Irving Farm espresso. I’m not sure why this place didn’t get higher reviews so far. Seems like a standout place and I had only a great experience. The barrista was friendly too.

I love this place! It’s super chill, the coffee and baked goods are always on point, AND the bearded guy behind the counter is a cutie. Good energy all around! Yeah, it’s hipster — you’re in fucking Williamsburg, hello! What did you expect? Frat boys in loafers and polo shirts? My only beef is they have NOBATHROOM. I’ve been in NYC for 6 years and I still can’t understand why places of businesses do not have bathrooms. Personally, I think it should be mandatory! But I digress…

$ 5 credit used here, courtesy of PayPal. I got their iced tea which was peony and english breakfast blend — it was delicious! Very refreshing and and the strength of the tea was just as expected — not watered down and flavorful as it should be. They have options of simple syrup, honey, and agave to sweeten — I chose agave. They also have baked goods and desserts outsourced from various bakeries. The BEST is the oatmeal raisin cookie from Ceci Cela. One of the best oatmeal raisins I’ve had, though probably full of butter and sugar. Their baked goods and cookies are $ 1 each after 5pm(I think that’s the time). Baristas are super friendly as well. Free wifi here, too.

Espresso based drinks are not as good as Otha’s which is just around the corner, but their drip coffee is second to none in the area. Recommend for their Drip… gotta go with Otha’s on anything pulled.
