My BF, mom and I were browsing through stores in the area while waiting to get lunch at Miriam and stumbled across this adorable jewelry shop. The three of us looked around and praised all the beautiful pieces when I saw one necklace in particular which I fell in love with. I mentioned the necklace to my BF and he kindly picked it up and purchased it for me. He helped me put it on as soon as we left the shop and I wore it the rest of the day until the night when I was getting ready for bed and tried taking it off only to have it fall into my hands. I looked at the necklace and found a clasp was torn on it… this was saddening to say the least, considering it was a delicate simple piece but for the price, it shouldn’t have broken the night of its purchase. I called the jewelry store the next day to see what they would offer in terms of replacement or refund and the sales girl told me to bring it in. I do not live in Park Slope so to schlep there from Jackson Heights is already a hassle but my BF and I took the drive and went back to see what their resolution would consist of. The same salesgirl was there who sold us the piece and she offered to fix it… meaning she’d take the piece and call us when it was fixed for us to travel all the way back to the Slope and pick it up… In terms of customer service I’d say this isn’t the ideal way to handle a piece of jewelry that couldn’t last a full day. She didn’t apologize nor did she offer a new, replacement for the necklace. I took the piece back and told her my uncle would fix it since he owns a jewelry shop and there is no logical reason for me to keep going back and forth for a necklace that shouldn’t have broken in the first place. The shop is very cute and the pieces they sell are beautiful but be cautious before spending your money here as the quality may not be worth it.

Wow there are so many beautiful pieces from earrings including shiny clusters of studs, dainty necklaces. I could go crazy and spend lots of money in here. The storefront really drew me in and I love the use of old wooden picture frames to highlight their pieces. The back consists of baby clothing which I avoided but I saw a lot of cute polka dot and natural cotton looking things that look like they’ll really fit in with the neighborhood crowd. A must if you want a slightly nicer piece of costume jewelry. It’ll be hard to say no to a lot of pieces…
