A little pricy, especially for coffee, but one of the best bagels in town. The service is great and I like their ordering process. One great feature Decanio’s offers is curbside or door delivery. If you’re walking your dog or just don’t want to brave the crowd inside you can call in your order and they’ll walk it out to you on the sidewalk or in your car.

I work in the neighborhood and have picked up lunch on several ocassions. The food itself is fine(not exceptional, but not bad). They offer a wide variety, including vegetarian soups during winter. My one issue is with the service. When it’s busy the place is somewhat chaotic. You also have to double-check what you walk out with. Every third time my order has been wrong, not what someone else ordered, but like the person behind the counter was only half-paying attention.

Stopped by here yesterday evening because I was hungry and my wife wasn’t, so we needed a quick flexible dinner option. They have sandwiches in addition to bagels, and I ordered the«Reuben»: warm corned beef on rye bread with spicy mustard and sauerkraut, pickle on the side. Tasty sandwich, lots of meat but in good proportion to the other ingredients. We had a funny chat with the owners, a husband-and-wife team who bickered with each other in a friendly way and congratulated us on our own recent wedding. There are a few tables for sitting down with your food, and the whole place is new and spotless. Major props for having a Dyson Airblade hand dryer in the bathroom! I hate crappy hand dryers. Overall this place seems to have been designed by the owners with quality in mind. This is our second time visiting and both times the food was very good and the service was friendly. This is the New York bagel place done right. We’ll definitely be back!

I stopped by this bagel /bakery because they had a billboard announcing that they now carried red velvet cakes and cupcakes. Once inside the warm smell of baking further convinced me that I wanted to try some of their baked goods. I got a cup of their hazelnut coffee — with soy milk — a red velvet cupcake($ 2.95, but a bit smaller than Crumbs or KOC’s cupcakes) a linzer cookie($ 2.75), and a piece of crumb cake($ 2.50). Everything came to about $ 10.50, and I tipped the staff because they carried my tray and helped me. I definitely like the cupcake and coffee — the coffee is really just right, not too strong or too weak. The icing on the cupcake is great; the cupcake itself is OK, but the icing saves it from being mediocre. I will definitely come back for cupcake and coffee when in the neighborhood.
