I don’t write many reviews but reading all the negative comments about the service really bothered me. The ices are amazing! Probably the best in Brooklyn! The options of flavors are endless and each one is truly wonderful with all natural ingredients unlike most ices today. It’s a mom and pop shop the old man is humorous and the lady is extremely sweet. Once I even went when they had already closed and the lady handed me her ice cream that she was taking home! Who just gives away their ice cream! This place is legendary, highly recommended. I hope people don’t listen to these nasty reviews about service. This place is an ices stand not a fine dining dinner!

Ices taste amazing BUT they are very cheap with utensils. They don’t give you more than one napkin and argue to give you a spoon unless you ordered a large size and even with that, they roll their eyes. Come on cheap skates, those ices are not worth your cheapness.

Please don’t write that you’re open until 11. I just wasted 30 min to get to the beautiful closed door, this isn’t the first time either.

One of the best, well-established Italian ice and ice cream shops in New York City; it’s a South Brooklyn mainstay. Their old location on Ave U. was an absolute classic but the new location is honestly a whole lot better. And being on a quieter avenue is certainly a benefit. Never had a flavor I didn’t like, but the Peanut Butter Jelly Ring combo is their claim to fame. There is a multitude of other peanut butter infused flavors. And not peanut butter, too, but you’d have to be one sick puppy to see peanut butter on an Italian ice menu and choose something else. What are you going to go with anyway? Canteloupe or something? Canteloupe was actually great, too. Whatever. If you haven’t yet been, please go.

Hands down the best Italian ice I’ve ever had, the black cherry cheesecake flavor was amazing, absolutely delicious.

Dolly’s is a small shop that makes homemade Icces and Icecream. They have tons of unique flavors. It’s always a head scratcher on which flavor to try next and they are all good. The service is okay. They are not overly friendly but I guess friendly enough. This places is popular in the neighborhood. When the weather gets nice everyone comes out to get one their frozen treats. Its a storefront setup where you go up to the window and order then walk away. There is a bench on the sidewalk but other than that there is no seating available.

Solid ice-y place. I had the cherry and the vanila oreo. Delish. Served old school style in a paper cup by a charming curmudgeon — he was nice and helpful but you can just tell, he’s been around and seen some stuff. Not far from my home, I will totally be back at some point.

Just had my first chance to go to this neighborhood gem. My fist two flavor choices were cantaloupe and lemon. The cantaloupe was outrageous and the lemon was just right Next time I am getting pints and working my way through the whole menu.

Okay, I want to start off by saying I don’t have a sweet tooth and am not a huge fan of sweets at all… But if I am anywhere CLOSE to Dolly’s, I will always stop by. Their Graham Cracker and Snickers Ices are to die for!!!

I love Dolly’s!!! I loved it when it was by kings plaza and I love it now! My family and I have been going to Dolly’s for years and we’ve never been disappointed. They have great, creamy ices. I recommend the burgundy cherry chip and the jelly ring. The people are always friendly and the ices are cheap. It’s a quick, cheap place to stop for a nice treat in the summer. Five stars well deserved.

The flavors speak for themselves, I love it, although its not the cheapest and you can’t mix more than 2 flavors.

This place is incredible. Every flavor tastes like what its named. Everytime I come here, they never disappoint. When the old guy is at the window order like the soup nazi. Be polite, no tasting, say what you want in what size, pay and step aside.

So many options. Fulfill your childhood dreams. You can try everything, now that you don’t have parents holding you back. Yummy iced sugar, perfect for summer. It should have more of a friendly theme as it is a sweet treat shop. They lose one star for service.

Great ices. That selection is amazing! But I have to warn you that the old troll of a looking guy behind the door smokes and is rude. He’s like 2 feet tall! It’s unbelievable how poor service can be at this place Be patient when coming to the window he’s really snappy. Sad especially that I spend $ 50 a week on ices . Oh well. There other places in ny.

This place brings back so many childhood memories in old mill basin! I love love love their rainbow ice they are never stingy on the size of the scoops and its cold and tasty on a hot summer day. The lines are crazy here in the summer but with so many options to choose from they will always make good business, their chocolate ices to their lemon ices and mango is just to die for. I still havent tried all their flavors and thats gonna be added to my bucket list. The staff never gave me any issues, they are always open to lettin you try a sample or two. I warn you their ices can get messy LOl :)

I’ve been going to Dolly’s since I was a little boy when my family visited King’s Plaza. During a nostalgia trip last year where I hit King Plaza and the Cookie House there, I decided to look up Dolly’s as well. It’s sad that they lost their original location to the hurricane, but great to see them staying strong. Actually their new location is even better in a way, being right by Mill Basin Kosher deli(I just missed the pinstripes). The owners who served us that day and other times after were very friendly in an old school Brooklyn way; just know what you’re going to order before you bother them. Pretty simple concept, ehh? Seriously, some of the people who wrote reviews here need to get over themselves. Just like the old days, they haven’t given us spoons(not sure if they even have them). You just squeeze the wax container of ice to eat it. To me it’s part of the charm, but I’m sure not all would feel that way. My girlfriend is addicted to their mango ice. As it’s studded with chunks of real mango and has tremendous flavor, I can’t blame her. My go-to is the same it’s always been: the rainbow ice. With lemon, cherry and blue raspberry, it’s a blend of fresh fruit flavor with just the right amount of sweetness. I’ve also had their rainbow cookie ice(yes, that is a real thing), a raspberry cheesecake ice, and a few other more gourmet ices, all of which were consistently amazing. Prices aren’t dirt cheap but they are very fair for a gourmet Italian ice. There’s a reason Dolly’s is still open, and the reason is the quality of their ices. Whether you keep it simple or go for something more ambitious, Dolly’s always delivers. Just like it always did. If you don’t like this place, get your taste buds examined.
