I don’t understand why … You have six employees and no line control. I don’t understand you guys are usually on the simple things. I’ll be back and I guess it doesn’t matter about our opinions but ouch guys… Really? No customer service

I’ve been going to this branch of Duane Reade for years and I implore you to never shop here again. There was an extremely violent staff member named Megan, who cursed out my 14 year old daughter in front of the whole store. When I asked for a manager they said they would reprimand her.
On my next visit to pick up my mothers prescriptions, about a month later, another argument between the cashier was happening with a customer, and guess who it was! Again, it was Megan. It is beyond my comprehension how this person is still employed there. Because of her I have had it, and will find somewhere else to do my shopping. That store just lost a valuable customer who spent hundreds of dollars a month there for over 5 years.

I have been going to this duane reade for close to 8 years and after maria left the staff they have hired is just terrible. The art of smiling or saying good morning is just non existant in this place. The store got fixed up but thats about it. I, the customer said good morning only to have the most annoyed cashier roll her eyes at me. Afterwards, i said thank you very much only to be met with «yeah.» I realize that to be treated nice you have to just say nothing at all. Save urself the headache. Make sure to never ask where anything is.

Ever since Walgreens bought Duane Reade, they’ve splattered the Walgreens logo all over the store, as well as on their store ads. They even use the same loyalty card at both Duane Reade and Walgreens. Despite all this, Duane Reade does not accept the store coupons from Walreens’ monthly coupon booklet, nor do they have a coupon booklet of their own to help the customers save more. Also, outside NYC, Walgreens runs both Duane Reade and Walgreens sales at the same location, while in NYC half of the weekly deals are only available at Duane Reade and another half — only at Walgreens, hence the laughably tiny store ads at both stores… So instead of getting all your sale items under one roof, they make you go from store to store. Avoid both and be done with it.

This is a great Duane Reade. They are always well stocked, clean and organized.
It’s a huge store, with tons of products from skincare to hair to medicine to potato chips to beer!
I always run in with my Duane Reade hard handy, and expect fabulous discounts. I’m never disappointed.
Conveniently located in the heart of Kings Highway.
*They also have a Chase ATM*

lately, it feels like Duane Reade have sprung up all over the place. This location is huge and is always stocked with the average products found at all pharmacy/​drug stores. This place is your one-​stop shop for not only personal hygiene products, but also simply food items, stationary, home items, as well as other daily necessities.
The prices are fair and the Duane Reade rewards program points can add up pretty quickly for instant discounts. Overall, the customer service is exceptional as all employees and managers are walking and constantly helping the customers and always greet with a smile, thus making it a positive visit.
