So I’ve been getting my hair done for over 15+years by the owner Regina! I love love love this place. All ladies are very talented they make u feel as if u r family as soon as you walk in the door. She also has a beauty salon just a block away where u can purchase her hair which is BEAUTIFULLLLLLL Virgin hair or even a verity of other hair brands an different hair products. I wouldn’t trust anyone with doing my hair. I am a loyal customer. My whole family goes to this salon. Trust me you will love this place!

Regina is amazing. Along with being a savior. Backstory: So I used to trek like a boss to the Bronx to get my hair done. But my former hairdresser was shady. A few months ago, she chopped 3 inches off with out telling me & in the process effed up my hair. 3 f******* inches and f***** it up. So pissed. Became completely done with that crap. She tells me my ends were damaged badly. No, I got my end assessed by another stylist prior to my lying former hairdresser chopping them off. They were not that bad. Lady just wanted to chop. Bye Felicia… I ask a friend of mine about any hairdressers that she knows. She gives me a name & a salon. I’m leery, but I’m always leery when going to new stylists. I have to build trust with them. I’ve had some sheisty hair experiences from back in the day that have put me on PAUSE& made me skeptical as hell. Regina saves the day, showing me what damage my old hairdresser has really done to my hair. I should of been with Regina from Day 1. Mad I didn’t find her sooner, but happy to have her now. She’s a true professional. My hair was LAID when she completed it. Her shop is cute & clean. Sold. She’s affordable & super convenient for me to go to. Converted.

This is the go to spot for everything from weaves, braids to natural styling. I’ve had my hair done by Regina, Shasha and Lisa and it always comes out FAB! Everyone is so friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming!

I started coming here for about 2 months now. I happened to find this spot by accident. And I’m glad I did. Everyone here are professional and pleasant. Lisa is my stylist. I love the way she does my hair. She also does my daughters hair. All the stylists in the shop are good. One time Regina styled my hair and I loved it as well. So whoever you go to will be on point. The reception Sonia called to confirm your appt. and I really like that. I just wish I found this place sooner.

I use to be a regular to this salon but since going natural I’ve catered to my hair personally. I went mostly because I liked Mecka but more often than not I feel pretty uncomfortable in this salon. And the last time I went in for a weave was indeed the straw that broke the camels back. Long and painful story short… Came in at 430 for a 5pm appointment. My hair was already washed and detangled because since it is natural now I had a great feeling they wouldn’t take care of my hair washing it like I would. However to my horror after not 1 but 2 hours of waiting I finally get hair braided. After working two 9hr shifts back to back with no breaks and then to come early and have to wait 2hrs is insult to injury. Then I believe her name was«sha sha» takes a blow dryer(to dry Detangled hair) to I guess straighten out my curls and doesn’t add ANY moisture to my hair before braiding is beyond me. My hair is going to covered and it doesn’t have any moisture or nutrients to survive this style w/o massive breakage. THISIS A HAIRSALONRIGHT? What made it even worse was she had clients who seemed like personal friends in my mirror all around me while I’m in her chair. I’m a client, I’m not in your home, there is a level of professionalism and integrity that should be embodied. It did not seem like she cared that I looked uncomfortable the whole time. Then after this too just wait some more. I was so exasperated and frustrated that I just wanted to leave. Did not leave till about 8 or 9pm… Will I be back? Never again but I will say Mecka is good and she is very sweet and knowledgable; need your hair done ask for her. P. S.2 weeks later I end up taking the weave out and my scalp is so sore and tender and my hair is so dry & brittle not surprised but I have a lot of deep conditioning and moisturizing to do

An established hair salon in Ocean Hills whose services I’ve patronized for the past 16+ years; 10 years at this location(est 2004). Dyvine Essence have six top-notch stylist who specialize in maintaining natural locks and blow-outs, sewn in weaves, relaxers and treating damaged hair. There’s a stand alone retail store one block from the salon were quality Brazilian and Malaysian hair(100% human-no blends) is sold by the bundles and marketed under the owner’s business retail branding.

Stylists are friendly and professional. Regina is the owner and was welcoming when I walked in I live right up the block and ladies always walk out looking on point. They use good product, professional with appointments and a great jewel in the neighborhood. She sells brazilian hair and prices are comparable and competitive to a salon and not your girl hooking you up lol. I’ve been three time and think I’ve found my new spot. Thanks ladies and god bless.
