I have been to Elements a few times in the past three months, and I would absolutely recommend this awesome gym to everyone! Kai is very approachable, friendly, and interested in every person that walks through the door. Having lived in the neighborhood for a few years, I can definitely say this is a great addition to the area, and I hope more people check out all of the amazing classes offered. I have attended a Muay Thai class, as well the Thursday Capoeira and Yoga classes and I loved it all. I’m hoping to find time to get in to a BJJ class soon as I’ve heard they are awesome! All of the instructors I’ve met and taken class from are extremely knowledgeable — I feel both physically/mentally challenged during class, and I know that I’m in a safe and supportive learning environment as well. Whether you’re an expert or a novice, get to Elements Athletics!

I am addicted to this place! I came to Elements as a novice in martial arts and found a safe, friendly and incredibly fun environment with knowledgeable instructors. The owners, Brie and Kai bring their chill west coast vibes and passion to a bright, clean space. They offer a good range of classes with both early a.m. times and p.m. times. I highly recommend checking this place out if you are looking for something new and fun to reach your fitness goals!

Excellent, friendly club, in a nice, bright, clean well equipped space. I joined to improve my ground sparring, and also work on flexibility and overall conditioning. Since joining I lost over 20lbs Kai is an experienced BJJ instructor who takes the time to find out new students goals, and explain the mechanics of techniques Brie’s background in yoga, conditioning, have allowed to work on my strength, flexibility, and movement for my jujitsu practice and general wellbeing, and Mike brings his experience of Muay Thai for those that also want to work on their striking. All instructors are friendly and approachable, and the club brings in visiting instructors with expertise in specific topics. The club welcomes both complete beginners and experienced practitioners, so both can develop in safe and challenging environment.

I joined Elements about two months ago after training for almost 5 years at another jiu-jitsu school in Manhattan. I remember coming out of my first class there with a big smile on my face. It was so much fun! Coach Kai’s approach to BJJ focuses on overall movement and flow. He combines his yoga experience with years of BJJ practice(as well as other martial arts) into a class that is always a full body workout. He explains BJJ techniques in a way that is accessible to beginners, while offering deeper insight to more advanced students. Coach Brie’s Clubbell Classes are fun and challenging. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the way the body works and her positive energy and attitude really make you want to work your butt off! Class times are super flexible, with 7am, 11am, evenings and Saturdays offered. Price is very reasonable and there are no long term contracts required. The overall vibe of this place is casual and welcoming to all. Everyone I have trained with there has a great attitude and comes to class ready to work and learn! If you are looking to get stronger, healthier and much better at BJJ, Elements is the place to go! Highly recommended
