Enid’s is a great place if you like being served by people who are generally disappointment with life. I really don’t know what it is that makes everyone who works there constantly so upset. The economy? Their significant other? We don’t know but Enid’s turns even the happiest fellow into the Grinch. The food is nice but the service is most likely the worst in the entire city. But still tip, please don’t make it worse.

Chicken fried chicken with one of their bloody marys was the perfect meal. The collard greens, mashed potatoes, chicken, and southern gravy were all flavorful. Bloody Mary had celery, a caper berry, and olives.

Fried chicken sandwich was bomb but took forever to get. They also brought my girlfriend fries instead of the pickled beets. We would have asked for them to fix it if it hadn’t have take 35 minutes to get our meal. The blue cheese bacon burger was super good too.

Enid’s is awesome, I love the pens«here way before you moved to Greenpoint»(or something like that). My friends who live in the area tell me it’s the place to go for brunch and a bloody mary but we came here for a light dinner on a Friday night. They had a delicious, fresh pear salad special with Champagne vinaigrette — that, and the $ 8 Malbec, was exactly what I needed. It was also the first really cold night of the fall and I appreciated how warm it was in there! Definitely a solid neighborhood spot and I’m sure once day I’ll get to experience the bloody.

The food here was pretty good despite a 45 minute wait for chicken wings. The waitress was super friendly and nice. She knew the menu well and was able to give good recommendations. They have good happy hour with $ 3 draft beers and other drink specials. They were accommodating to our children. I had the fried chicken with the mashed potatoes and collard greens. The collard greens were a little spicy but the mashed and chicken were very tasty. My husband had the burger and was a bit disappointed as he said the meat did not taste as fresh as he hoped, but he was satisfied with the wings. One recommendation is to have blue cheese for the chicken wings. You can’t have hot wings without the blue cheese. Overall very friendly and accommodating restaurant.

The bartenders(the bearded guy, beware) will call the cops on you. Even if you did not do anything. And after that, he will try to ban you from other places. The management at this place is messed up. I wish I could give them no stars. No fucks I am giving — oh that’s all I have to say, l

Cool place to come to for a quick brunch with friends. Service is NOT that great been sitting at my table for 45 min with food and waitress has not come around once to «check up» on how I was doing. Also served me HOT water. Not sure what that’s about. Has the jaelphono grits. They were just ok. Nothing to write home to momma about… the place is right across from MCCarren Park which is convenient. Otherwise. I don’t find this place to be better than your local McDonalds…

Once voted best Bloody Mary, in Brooklyn, so I’m coming here to see if it still holds the title. I had a craving for a Sunday brunch kinda drink and meal. -\\G #GTIP #GeorgeKnows Just your bar/restaurant on the corner of Happiness and Driggs avenue

Great brunch. Yummy veggie burgers and fantastic bloody marys. The cheese grits are light, fluffy, and delicious. Great place to sit outside and enjoy a beautiful day.

Not a bad brunch. Limited options I think, compared to other brunch places but at the same prince range. If you ask for coffee they serve you a french press full of the stuff, which would be nice, but I’m not a huge fan of the coffee it produces. I left feeling satisfied, but thinking I should probably check this place out for lunch or maybe dinner, brunch might not be it’s strong suit.

Very good food, had the hungry bear with sausage and Huevos rancheros. Great service, friendly and family vibe inside. Good spot to grab brunch but don’t go out of your way to have brunch here since I read them on Timeout as one of the top places for brunch. The biscuits were a bit harder and did not taste as freshly baked as many places. Huevos rancheros were good but egg not as yolky as I’d like and the sauce slightly underwhelming. If you’re in the hood drop by.

We got the frozen Harrison(grapefruit margarita) which was fantastic for summer and not overly frosted or fruity(I have a problem with alliteration — not sorry). Sitting at the bar allowed me a chance to chat up the friendly, humorous bartend; we joked around on the Passport Program and she even gave me a glass of water without me asking. The place was rather spacious with lots of windows, but dimly lit enough to give an intimate vibe if you sit in a corner or by the wall. I also liked that there were hooks under the counter at the bar for you to stow away bags. And the huge metallic camel on the wall by the bar.

Really enjoyed our brunch at Enid’s — compared to the other extremely popular restaurants around the area the wait time for a table was not ridiculous(1 – 1.5hrs). In fact, we got seated right away outside(and there were still seats inside). Brunch menu is slightly limited(3 – 4 entrees and drink options) but they do offer their full regular menu too. I had the 2 eggs any way with a side of pork sausage — amazingly flavored homemade(i think) sausages! My friends ordered the fried green eggs benedict and enjoyed it a lot as well. With an iced coffee each, our bill came to less than $ 20 per person — great value! Although their service isn’t necessarily«make it rain» fantastic(there was nothing to complain about though), i would still come back to Enid’s for another brunch date!

After being quoted a 1.5 hr wait at Five Leaves, we decided not to wait. We made a few calls, and then moseyed our way to Enid’s which happened to have no wait time. I was a little surprised by Enid’s interior. It is more a bar than a brunch spot; very dark, and the bathroom is one you might find in a divey bar. Menu item: Hungry Bear [biscuit sandwich with egg, sausage and gravy] choice of a side: stone ground grits with cheese The sausage itself was the best part of the dish, and the egg was nice and runny. The biscuit was pretty standard. The gravy, which covered the entire dish, lacked salt. The grits were incredibly bland; I expected the cheddar to be more substantial. There were only a few shredded bits of cheese sprinkled on top, and not fully melted into the grits. If you’ve had grits, you know that you need something to really elevate it out of ‘muck-dom.’ Missing once more: salt. Overall, it wasn’t my favorite place considering the ambiance. Very glum for brunch, which wouldn’t have mattered so much if the food spoke for itself. Sadly, it was too muted for my taste buds.

Great mimosas, lovely huevos rancheros, great brunch menu, funky but laid back environment and the bloody Marys could stand as their own meal, large and in charge. But get this: red velvet pancakes!!! I’m going back asap. That’s a menu item to snicker at as well as try.

That ambiance though — I love the décor and vibes at Enids. My friend and I got the«gumbo yep» which was a special that night.(And I pretty much love that name.) It was delicious, hearty, and just what I needed. Service was only ok, but I’d definitely come back sometime.

Brunch is great here. The chorizo eggs benedict is delicious! Even their brewed coffee is great. Servers were so nice. I’m coming back when I’m in town!

One day, when my boyfriend and I were in the area, we spent forever trying to remember the name of this place so that we could go back and eat there. Finally, I thought let’s google the gold camel and voila! in minutes we had a name and address — score!(If you ever need to remember this place just google ‘gold camel’) The reason we went through all the trouble was because I loved the food the first time we dined here, and I was just as big of a fan the second time around. Both times I got exactly the same dish — chicken fried chicken, collard greens and cole slaw. The dish actually comes with mashed potatoes, but they allowed me to substitute the mash for their yummy cole slaw, made with vinegar, not mayo.(they use the purple cabbage) Can you say yummy? The only reason this isn’t five stars is because the service wasn’t great. We had to wait like forever and the server wasn’t exceptionally friendly, but I can vouch for the food(or at least that specific dish). It’s a lot of food too — they’re not stingy at all with their portions.
