Flora Nuit

When I first heard about Flora Nuit, and their «pop-​up» lingerie shop/​party idea, I was very intrigued. Lingerie shopping has never been my favorite, and it is usually difficult for me to find something that not only fits but still looks pretty and does not break the bank. However, after learning more about the concept, and speaking with friends who felt the same way I did, I decided to host a Flora Nuit event.
It went so well that I have actually hosted 2 events and have attended two of their events («Whiskey and Women» and a pop-​up shop), and I have purchased everything from bras, underwear, slips, to pajamas. I cannot express how amazing each experience with Flora Nuit was.
When hosting, Laura and Melissa were incredibly helpful. They created the invites to send out to my guests, worked with me to bring items that I thought my friends would love, and then they showed up nice and early to set-​up and help me get the space ready. They were incredibly professional and helped to create a very relaxed atmosphere. As my friends started to show up, everyone was a little nervous… I mean… how does a lingerie party work? But Laura and Melissa jumped right in and made everyone feel comfortable. By the end of the night everyone had tried something on and made a purchase. And, every single one of them have told me stories about how great they feel in their new purchases, the confidence it gives them, and the compliments they get!
Since I hosted my first party with them over a year ago, I have only shopped for lingerie with Flora Nuit– and I don’t see that changing anytime soon!

I have attended three events with Flora Nuit; a hosted party at a friend’s house, a «Whiskey and Women» event, and a pop-​up shop held in combination with Alden Skirts. And I can’t wait for the next one!
The thing I love about Flora Nuit is how comfortable and fun the lingerie shopping experience becomes. The atmosphere is more «intimate party» than «fish out of water at a lingerie store». You get to hang out with friends and as an added plus — Melissa and Laura do such a good job at guiding you through the whole process; from picking out styles to choosing the perfect fit for your body.
This would be a great original party activity with a group of girlfriends. Would definitely recommend hosting a party or attending any of their events.

My friend hosted an event at her house and I can not say more nice things about this. There’s something great about hanging out with some girlfriends, drinking champagne, and browsing fancy (and affordable) lingerie. I thought it might be a little strange trying on lingerie in this setting, but they make it very private and comfortable, giving you completely tailored advice for what you want and your fit. If you get an invite to one of these events, trust me, don’t pass it up. Also, this is one of those great ideas if you want to throw an event and you’re not quite sure what to do and want something a little different. I am never going to try lingerie on at a store again. Well, maybe if the ladies who run Flora Nuit want to come with me.

I had the pleasure of attending a Flora Nuit pop-​up shop at the Sixty LES Hotel, where Flora Nuit coupled with a whiskey company for a «Whiskey and Women» event that was a huge success. I’ll be honest, I do not like lingerie shopping; I feel uncomfortable and awkward. Enter Flora Nuit. I felt so comfortable with the women hosting the party that I quickly dropped all inhibitions (whiskey helped) and let them convince me to step outside of my comfort zone. Initially I was simply looking for a new bra: I had gained weight and wanted something that could reign the puppies in, but without looking like my grandmother in the bedroom. Laura and the rest of the Flora Nuit crew sized me and brought me the correct sizes in all different colors to try. The bra is extremely comfortable, holds my girls up and looks great in the bedroom or under my clothes. Confident in my new bra, I decided to try on their corset which has the same cups as the bras and some lacy designs down the front and the sides. This could easily double as a sexy evening outfit or hidden under a blazer to spice up a happy hour. I also happened upon a navy silk slip that makes my husband drool. My successes didn’t end there. Their pajama sets are 100% the softest and coziest items I have ever worn, and at the time of my purchase, they came in three colors: coral, blue and gray. I bought the gray and do my laundry more often now so that I don’t have to wear anything else to bed.
Flora Nuit is the new «it» place to buy your lingerie and underwear needs and desires. Whether wanting to steam up the bedroom or hold up your girls, Flora Nuit has you covered: sophisticated and sexy. Throw out your Vickies and pull out your plastic for the next Flora Nuit pop-​up!
