One of the Truly worst experiences I have had in a sporting goods store in my entire 30 years of life. I am an owner of over 400 pairs of sneakers and have probably gone through 700 pairs in my life. Ever since the days we were immigrants and did not have money to buy lavish sneakers. My parents would take me sneaker shopping where I would have to try on the sneakers and have my mom press my toes for space and pick the cheapest sneakers the sales reps were always super helpful and happy. Those are the type of memories I grew old with as I would buy my countless sneakers for my collections and personal use. I would receive tons of love from literary almost every single experience I have had in a sporting good store cause I am an easy going shopper, don’t like to try stuff on and just buy stuff that I don’t need. Very sadly those memories have been washed away this passed weekend with my experience at the 86th street Footlocker in Brooklyn. My wife had given birth this past Friday and it has been one of the happiest time of my life especially during the last few years being a rough patch in my life. I had purchased $ 115 dollars worth of candy in a store a block away and came in buy my new born son his first pair of jordans and bought a few things for myself on sale as always I did not try anything on. Started getting calls from work and my wife at the hospital so I rushed out of there. When I got to the hospital in Manhattan I had realized that I have forgot the bag full of expensive candy that I intended to give out to the nurses for taking care of my wife. I started calling the store for an hour and a half and no answer. I called about 8 – 9 times. I understand it was a Saturday and they could be busy but it is a bit ridiculous for a corporate store to not have a better system or enough employees to answer the phone. Just mind boggling. Next day I looked up when they opened up and it said 11am. Also do not understand how a corporate store can be opening up so late on the weekend during holiday season. I could not have waited for so long and had to go to the hospital to spend time with my wife and new born. At exactly 11am I started calling again and still no response. Only at around 1pm did someone pick up the phone on me after a combined 15 attempts between the night before and the morning off. The person that picked up the phone was rude and non helpful with no words of symphony. She was quick to say no they did not see or came across the 2 bags of candy and only as I continued to ask did she say well let me ask the others. I believe I even heard laughter in the background. I might have been at ease if I wouldve heard an I am sorry but we did not see it or something of that sort but I did not. Later when i came home I tried on the stuff that I bought and one sweat pant fit perfectly and another one that was the same size didnt even go onto my legs. Would have been nice if the reps that helped me the day before explained that the 2 different styles fit differently. Which now forced me to have to go back to this nasty foot locker location to exchange the sweat pants I bought. At first a sales rep noticed I was looking for sizes and goes let me help. I had to specify 4 different times which style I was looking for in which size. Then another sales rep came over and offered to check the back to whom we also needed to specify which style in which size multiple times. Took 20 minutes of me waiting around by the registered until he finally came back and said I dont have both of them in this one size I was like but the other one was suppose to be in a different size. He goes oh ok I can go back there and check again. I said I was ok and returned the whole sweat suit. The person processing the return did not say a peep I told her that is a bit ridiculous and she still had no response and looked away. As if I am not in front of her or as if it is normal to make someone wait around and have an upset customer without having some sort of comforting conversation or at least a couple of words that would not make me go on this type of rant. Maybe all the candy they ate the night before had their brain going through a sugar rush. JOKE!!! I am never ever coming back to this location anymore and for that matter do not know if I will ever continue being a footlocker customer or any other affiliates of theres like Finishline. Sorry fellow Unilocalers for this rant! but this is what this for. I would love to hear Footlocker Corporates response to this experience.

Just another footlocker. Clean and bright. I order my stuff online and get it shipped to the store for Free, so works great for me.

Poor Customer Service. The minute I step foot in the store, from asking if one of the boots were on sale, to a nasty response«Yes! Obviously.» If I saw the tag on the boots, I wouldn’t have asked.

Not impressed Newly opened store that is normal size and everything is the way you would expect a foot locker to be but i had a bad experience. Went to buy a pair of sneakers for my wife while she stopped at another store, the guy asked if i needed help a few times which was fine and then i found the pair i though she would like. They had the size and i was happy, until i examined the sneaker and realized they were in terrible condition. The bottom of the right sneaker was actually worn and dirty! Not gently but as if they were taken for a walk down by the promenade for an hour and then returned! Both sneakers had stains and smudges on top also, and obviously i didn’t buy them. When i politely brought this to the attention of the associate all he could say was«ok sir.» Never getting my business…
