This neighborhood is hurting for good Chinese food, but this is the best beef with broccoli and lo mein in the area by far. I would never walk into this place, so I’m glad I tried it first by ordering! Because it doesn’t look very appetizing. But sometimes those are the best spots! Good Chinese food is the one(and only!) think I miss about living in Manhattan, so this place saved me ;)

This place is walking distance form where I live and they also delivery. I really don’t have any complains for them as the food is good and it is inexpensive. This is your standard Chinese place and I actually don’t have much around me that I go too. Delivery is fast and even take cards which is always a plus for me.

Just discovered this Chinese food gem. Absolutely delicious. I got a pint of shrimp curry for $ 5.75 w rice! The shrimp are massive, tasty, and there’s more than enough in here. Not those gross baby shrimp a lot of places use. I also got roast pork lo mein for $ 5. Hands down best Chinese I’ve had in the neighborhood. Inexpensive and good. Holding on to this menu… the local spots on seamless don’t compare.

There are plenty of Chinese places of this ilk in the neighborhood, but this is my spot. I’ve been coming here for 9 years. I used to stop in for lunch regularly with a friend who also lives within a few blocks and if either of us went alone, the girl at the counter would always ask after the other. In my experience, service here ranges from warm and friendly to at least polite and pleasant. The food here is exactly what you should expect from this level of Chinese place. It’s not fancy, or probably healthy, but that’s not why you come to a place like this. It’s yummy and it’s predictable. I’ve never not gotten what I expected here. And the prices are always reasonable. Service is always quick as well. I usually drop in on my walk home from the train to grab carry-out for me and my wife and it’s always ready in a few short minutes. I hope the neighborhood changing doesn’t effect this place, because I’d miss it if it were gone.

I work by this place and I frequently get a lunch special of vegetable egg foo young, a side of gravy, white rice and I sub out the pop for a veggie Spring roll. It’s only $ 5 for the special, although lately, they have been charging me an extra .25 cents, maybe it’s for the substitution from pop to spring roll but I don’t care. The meal is massive and just the right amount for me, 2 egg foo young patties, usually filled with descent veggies, onions, broccoli, sometimes peppers and a at least a cup and a half of rice. I eat a lot so I can finish the meal but whenever our office orders from this place, everyone else has left overs from their lunch specials of choice. There is a wide selection of different lunch specials available to choose from so there is something for everyone. If you are in the neighborhood for lunch and you want well above average egg foo young and or descent Chinese food for cheap, hit up this spot for a lunch special sometime.

It’s was my first time eating here in many years. I ordered shrimp with lobster sauce it was prepared well no problems. I’m very sketchy about eating Chinese food. I won’t make it a habit I’m not trying to push my luck.

A very fancy restaurant, but food is ok nothing Special. For a plate of Pork Fried rice and chicken wings is 6.50 when you have other Chinese restaurant that sell it for 4.50. They also lie about how much there order costs cause one day they said it 7.25 and the next day ohh it 6.50 and one they they even charged me 5.50. I really don’t like that about them and it the same People!!!

This is your standard corner Chinese takeout place… but it’s also a bit better(roast pork in their wonton soup was a pleasant surprise) and a whoooole lot cheaper($ 5 lunch specials get you a large takeout container filled to the brim with rice and an entrée, and it comes with either the wonton soup or an egg roll). And delivery is super quick. Can’t go wrong.

** Delivery Review** We’re still trying to find our staple Chinese delivery place in the Williamsburg area so we decided to give Fortune Place a whirl. On a rainy Tuesday night it took 50 minutes to arrive, pretty usual. Price was great — $ 19.70 for two soups, dumplings and two main entrees. Some highlights: — Great dumplings — flavorful hot & sour and egg drop soups — we asked for«light sauce» on the dishes and they followed through(awesome) — asked for tofu steamed(not fried) and then happily obliged Only thing that was a bit odd was that the main dishes come in a large styrofoam tray with the rice already scooped with the entrée. In that case, if both parties wanted to have fried rice, you would have to order it for both dishes rather than just getting a small side order(like you could do at most Chinese place). Not a deterrent, just something to take note of.

Good chinese food for the price. Can’t go wrong if your wallet is hurting with an empty stomach. Haven’t tried much from the menu but their egg rolls sure are good.

Not a huge fan of take-out Chinese food, but Furtune Place far exceeded my expectations. We have both picked up food there and had it delivered. Both of which, the food was spectactular and presented well. Never greasy, extremely good value. I even recommended this place to a colleague looking for a local Chinese restaurant. They proceeded to order from here 2ce in one weekend… it was that good! Definitely give Fortune Place a shot!

With lunch specials at $ 4.35, it’s kind of hard to argue with the quality in food… I mean, you get what you paid for. However, when the wallet and stomach are hurting, Fortune Place is the perfect remedy. Keep in mind they do have an $ 8.00 minimum for delivery.
