I have only given one star as I cannot give zero stars. Honestly I have never been to such a disorganised, unaware physician in my life. It is shocking that he has managed to keep his license. First(even though he was reading the screen) he gave me an incorrect diagnosis. When I explained that the culture he did was not what he was reading he then said oh sorry wrong thing. Then he did a biopsy, I gave him my number and no follow up. His receptionist is no better. really two peas in a pod. I was explaining to him my skin conditions and he was absolutely clueless. Every time I have gone to him, he always gives a cream. It doesnt matter what your condition is, its a light cream. If i didnt live in park slope and was affiliated with methodist there is no way I would ever go to him. He also rushes you out and when he speaks one can barely understand him. Do not waste your time with him and definitely not your money, you will regret it

I had been experiencing a case of severe acne for quite a while. As a result, this condition, I constantly avoided numerous social settings. Dr. Frankel was the only doctor who was able to assist me in resolving this issue. I would sincerely recommend him to anyone who is facing a similar issue. Dr. Frankel exhibits a care and concern which often goes above and beyond the call of duty. He is most definitely a credit to his profession.

He knows his stuff and if you need a Park Slope derm doctor who is an expert at skin inspection, he’s the guy. His office is clean and staff is very professional and polite.

no stars for him, honestly dont waste your time or money on someone who doesnt educate any of his patients. Called me in for a follow appointment to do a biospy and when i showed up he said, sorry i cant perform one. the co-pay was 40 dollars down the drain. The visit was no more than 5 mins. I was so pissed, never again.

Went to Dr. Frankel for years & years for my rosacea, which progressively got worse under his treatment. His RX: a mild antibiotic(doxycycline), Klaron, and Differen. Over & over, I continued to break out with rosacea acne, and he kept prescribing the same treatment, which didn’t work. I was so desperate I was there once a month, hoping for a cure! Finally, after an appt where he told me I was getting too much sun(it was just the flush of my rosacea because his exam room was warm), I knew he was clueless. I started going to Dr. Baranowitz(Ocean Parkway), who found the right treatment & got rid of the rosacea acne in less than 4 months. If you’re thinking about seeing Dr. Frankel for rosacea treatment, think again.

Dr. Frankel is a dermatologist who is competent but would recommend Vaseline as the ideal moisturizer-he removed a mole on my arm at my request. He types down what you say and wears these magnifying glasses that look a bit like a miner. He is NOT pat wexler. He takes my insurance-he never sees you at the scheduled time you always wait-however in this day and age I guess that is pretty standard.
