An interesting boutique of either really cheap items or things that are cute but slightly over budget(in my personal opinion). Their clothing is also apparently junior sized and caters well to the younger high school/college crowd. Its a good quick fix if you’re in the area and in a hurry.

Although the sister store Fresh on 18th is shutting its doors(maybe it already has), when I last spoke with one of the owners, Fresh on 5th is showing no signs of fading away – and that makes me very happy. The owners are a young and trendy couple who definitely try to provide their customers with fashion-forward clothing options. You won’t walk into Fresh and feel like it’s a mirror image of any other clothing store chain. They definitely take strides to make a mark and bring in trendy, hip pieces to their store. The staff is great and really helpful. But, I must admit that back around 2007 the salesgirls would ask if you needed help a little too much and hang around to take your items to the back near the dressing room – sometimes while you’re in mid-reach for those oh, so cute pair of jeans. Rather than let it annoy me and turn me away from this hidden treasure, I went with the flow – and happily relieved my arm of the weighted pile of clothes, I asked for help with the sizes that I needed, and I got the 411 from the owners about when their new styles would be coming in. These days the floor staff is definitely more relaxed, and they give you more breathing room to shop. With ongoing sales and new styles coming in often you really can’t go wrong with this place. They have a great selection of affordable, stylish jeans that are very comfortable to wear, and a nice selection of t-shirts with sayings for every mood: funny, cute, cool, and crazy. And they sell dresses, skirts, pants, handbags, and accessories. All-in-all it’s a great place to add a couple of classic and unique pieces to your wardrobe all while being a budget-conscious fashionista.
