Goldy & Mac

Just left this boutique. Wasn’t greeted by the sales clerk, totally ignored me while I was shopping. I found a jacket I liked but I’m not a fan of spending my money in a place where my money isn’t valued.

Always worth stopping in from time to time.

Anytime I’m in the neighborhood I always make a stop at Goldy and Mac. Just like Toucan Sam, I follow my nose to the sale rack! And this nose has never let me down! I can just smell the fashionable savings. Goldy and Mac is a great place to find some affordable fashion staples and some funky, edgy pieces too.
My sister and I came in the summer and I got a great black skirt with a slight frill at the bottom. Just the perfect twist on a closet staple. I have worn it countless times!
And this winter I stopped by and the summer items were all in the sale rack. I got a black and tan patterned dress that had an adjustable belt to cinch the dress into your body type.
They also have a great selection of accesories. I have my eye on a pom pom hat but I’m waiting for the winter sale.

Love this place. the girls behind the counter are always nice and friendly and never over the top attentive. I don’t like to be monitored when I’m browsing. I’ve bought some stunning and comfortable pieces in this shop. The shop is always tidy and the rails are never over stuffed. Their sales are also very good!

I consistently find beautiful pieces (dresses, blouses, skirts, sweaters) for $ 20 — $ 30 on the sale rack at this particular outpost of Goldie and Mac. It’s less trafficked than the other locations, so it’s possible to find lots of great stuff in women’s medium sizes. The staff is friendly and they wont judge you if you go in with frizzy hair, wearing your workout tights and an old sweatshirt cause it’s laundry day.

The shop is cute, but much of the clothing is expensive and does not match the quality. There isn’t much versatility in their selection. Once in a while you can score a cute find. The accessories are alright: scarves, bags and jewelry, but also not worth the price. The service is «monotone» and absolutely not accommodating. There are many other shops with better selections.

I love this store! both locations… I’ve found awesome scarves I have never seen anywhere else, great dresses and skirts — that I can afford!!! And there is a cool friendly vibe, this store is the bomb!

Super cute shop! Prices are much lower than I thought they would be based on the shop’s cuteness. They could use an extra dressing room, but that is the price of popularity.

every time i go in i come out with something unexpected, super cute and i love everyone who works here. they also watch my baby son when i am trying things on… like, ask to play with him. LOVE!

This place has such cute clothes and such affordable prices. The service is really awesome as well. There was a necklace that they had and didn’t have my color. The sales girl told me to email the owner Ashley who went out of her way to find the necklace for me in 1 day, set it aside and I picked it up. Love this place and will definitely come back to both Park Slope stores!

LOVE this shop! Super cute clothes and accessories. They have Spanx which is a plus (albeit it pricey). And the service is always friendly and sweet. They let me bring my dog in and are always cooing over her (which she loves) so I’m an even bigger fan because of that. Their sales rack is a good mish-​mash of things at good prices so I always find something in the store that I either wish for or just buy on the spot. Great shop! My favorite in the neighborhood.

Goldy & Mac has super cute stuff. They do a fantastic job selecting clothes and accessories to sell, and keeping the shop clean and appealing. I came here the other day and all the pastel dresses and scarves got me super excited for Spring.
I loved almost every item in the store, but unfortunately, this oversized clothing trend has made it difficult for me to find a size small that doesn’t make me look ridiculous. I need them to carry a XXS if I want the clothes to look flattering on me!

To my knowledge the Anthropologie Wholesale thing never happened does anyone have an update on this? Dropped some $ back in July on a maxi dress, shirt and wrap thing. I suspect in the coming weeks I will be picking up a few holiday party items to wear.

let me start by saying I would give them a 3.5 if I could.
used to spend a lot of time right around Goldy&Mac’s area and I would always stroll when I had time. Their selection was good even though often not in my style and it seemed as though there wasn’t much consistency with the items from season to season (style wise, etc). I did purchase some lovely candles and scarves from here though and the staff is really nice but it’s just not my kind of store.

I’m such a Goldy Mac fan it’s not even funny – I guess it helps that I live 2 blocks from the 7^th Ave location… but i will say that it definitely does not help my wallet. When they do have sales they’re pretty great and you will surely find something to take home.
They have a great selection of brands like Ark & Co from Australia, that are hard to find in this area as well as local BK brands. It’s a good store to pick up all types of dresses and tops for work/​afterwork events that can be mixed and matched pretty well. Prices are reasonable and the staff is very friendly. Excited and looking forward for Fall/​Winter sale!

From the outside it looked like I was gonna find some winners. But I saw last season Michael stars and Mac & Jac tops & dresses?
The clothes were only in Sm & M, very few larges (hey I need some room for the girls) and the sales girl barely said hello.
There was a weird corner dedicated to kids clothes —
I found a cool scarf that looks like an old 70’s tshirt all shredded in strings.
Very nice scarf — just ok store — could be so much better.

This boutique, and the others in the area, reminded me of why I don’t like boutique shopping.
I like selection and options, and this store didn’t cut it for me. Everything in the store was either a billowy top of some sort, an open cardigan, or a straight-​cut dress, which is fine if that’s what you’re into. Since it’s not my thing, I was disappointed.
Prices were budget friendly, salesgirls were decent, not my thing.

Holy bejeebus. One word. SALE.
I generally like what they have in here and think that their prices are relatively reasonable. Having said that, «generally reasonable» prices still aren’t that affordable on my limited budget.
Then I saw the sign today. «EVERYTHING 30% OFF.» How could it be everything???
Apparently, they need to make a lot of room for new stock in a jiffy, so there you go. But still! 30% for an impromptu sale?! AWESOME!!! The best sales are the surprise ones. AND if you see it on a weekday, you know it won’t be picked clean for the weekend.
If you’re wondering, I bought an open cardigan, a black shirt, and this really cute silver-​bowed headband. The sales girl told me all the headbands (some have flowers, or feathers) are made by a local woman. I think I love it more because it was on sale.

I love this strip of 5^th ave. Lots of cute shops for browsing, presents, etc. My favorite store in this area will always always be Goldy + Mac. It is spacious, clean, has a great layout and friendly staff/​owners.
Oh and the clothes. It is one of those places where you find that must have wardrobe piece when you are not even looking for it. For me, it was a teal blue silk dress with a brown ribbon trim. $ 200 and like 6 weddings later and I am STILL getting compliments! Sigh
They also have a decent selection of coats (my friend picked up a cute trench here), jewelery, shoes and tops. The jeans are pretty boutique basic, nothing out of this world.
It’s not exactly a discount store, but you get what you pay for. Great quality, great selection. I was walking up 7^th ave a few weeks ago and saw a small satelite store and my eyes lit up! Not as glam, but still had some casual basics. I was touting luggage and couldn’t spend the time, but next time I am in the area, I plan on hitting up both stores for some quality pampering.
