The worst! Had my tires exchanged based on store recommendation. Since then I had to come back no less than 3 times to try getting a flat fixed without riding the bike once. They just keep changing tubes and the bike keeps getting a flat. Owner refuses to stand by the product and replace what could only be described as flawed or ill fitting tire. After demanding that they replace the tires he literally screamed at my face!

I’m a really big fan of the way this bike shop is run. I’ve stopped by and called a few times before bringing my business here and I’m glad I did! First, it’s not a chain and the fellow who seems to run it is the kind of charmer you feel good about giving your money to. Second, they charge less than everyone else around for a basic tune up!($ 50!). Third, the staff is awesome, the job they did was great and there was absolutely no pressure. They fixed up my husbands beater bike that was a hand me down and we knew it was in rough shape and dangerous to ride. When they told us one petal was broken and a cylinder of some sort on the frame between the pedals needed to be replaced, I was thinking some crazy amount was about to be announced. They put no pressure and apologized that it was probably going to be around…20 dollars. They’re SONICE! For a tune up, new pedals, a new whatchamapobbit(and no the bike WAS rough and I do believe them!) the total was $ 100 and it took 2 hours. Down the street at the chain on 5th avenenue, they are all very cool, but I feel embarrassed by the prices of the merchandise after asking for help. At on the move we were treated with total respect and professionalism and no pressure to get the extra stuff. It feels good to give your money to these guys and to get a shiny new bike with a second life!

Super nice, friendly, and helpful. Went in for a couple things and ended up chatting and playing with the cat for a while. It’s definitely a tiny shop but they seem to have everything a casual rider would need.

Tiny place, awesome cat, very good customer service. They fixed my completely jacked up bike for under $ 100, in a day, without making me feel stupid for how broken I let it get. I have also bought a variety of bike accessories here and haven’t been disappointed. –1 for not calling as stated.

My tire exploded in the middle of the street a few blocks away. Came here for a quick flat fix. They were super fast. Super friendly and reasonably priced. Overall great experience.

A true mom-n-pop business in South Slope. Got my bike tuned up for $ 60, same day. They are very friendly and helpful, and my 15-year-old bike feels brand new. I’ll definitely be back.

Moved to BK. OTM re-assembled my bike for $ 45. It’s riding more or less like it used to now. Cheapest price I could find for that service vs. many other bike shops in Park Slope. Plus they have a resident black cat named Spooky.

I have been going to OTM for the past couple of years because it is close. Little things seemed wrong with most repairs which I chose to overlook. However, I have been back three times in two months because of a tube replacement on my front tire. First had a slow leak and they replaced it. The tube lasted about 10 rides before having a slow leak. I had it replaced again, the store broke my mirror, promised to call(they didn’t and I figured I would just replace it. Four days later the new tube failed completely. They refused to look at the tube, blamed my tire(which is in perfect condition) and said they were still ‘fixing’ my mirror. I had enough. I went to Mr ‘C’s in Sunset Park. The tube was obviously defective with a big hole in its side. Let’s get real, a bike shop that can’t put a decent tube on and refuses to back up there work is an epic failure.

I started going here back in the 90’s when my kids were looking for their first bikes. It was right across the street and they were a friendly, family run business, which it still is. I bought my current ride bike there about five years ago and have always brought it in for tuneups and things. Last week I was riding and my pedal bracket broke. I know that now, but didn’t at the time. I took it to OTM after lunch, convinced I had a huge problem and bill in front of me, but the mechanic was at the desk, identifies the problem in two seconds, quoted me a parts and labor price that was fair(inexpensive) so relieved I said do the tune up while you have it. The mechanic told me if I do the tune up then the labor to install the bracket was included — I was ecstatic. I came back after five, picked up my bike and I tell you it rode like it was brand new — better even. I was and am thrilled with the service I received and will do all my repairs there as long as I continue to live in Brooklyn — the best city on earth!

Great service from FRIENDLY people. I cannot say enough about how nice these guys are. They treat everyone who comes in like they really appreciate them stopping by and give everybody the attention they deserve. The prices are more than fair and the turnaround time is super fast. On Saturday I needed a bike tune-up and wanted to ride on Sunday. It was done in a few hours and I walked away happy and ready to ride. I called another local bike shop and they wanted $ 5 more and would take 5 days. It was a no brainer to go to OTM. The place is a bit small, but they have everything I would need for me. Plus, when the service is so good, why go elsewhere. This place deserves my business and yours as well.

This is a much-delayed review, but well deserved. I started going to On the Move after Dixon’s treated me like shit(didn’t give me the time of day, blah blah blah) a few years prior. I’ve shopped/utilized this shop in the past with great satisfaction. I usually do my own repairs but I was pressed for time and was happy to hand over my bike for a few days for a rear cassette and chain replacement, after which my bike ran beautifully. I purchased a few other accessories at different times, all at reasonable prices. I’ve been going elsewhere lately only because this shop is not along my usual route, but I’d definitely return should the need/occasion arise.

This Brooklyn neighborhood bike shop is just what you should expect one to be. They are great for servicing fitness, kids and commuter bikes, have courteous service and offer fair prices. The owners are very freindly and genuine and are quick to follow up with any issues so that their customers are fully satisfied, which is not always the vibe in so many other shops that offer pretentious attitudes and overpriced services. If you have not tried this shop out, they are worth your time. You and your bike deserve to be treated nicely.

I was impressed with every employee I dealt with here at every step of the process – selection of a new bike, the opportunity to test drive it, adjustments, a discount on the purchase price, and free repairs for up to six months. This store gets crowded quickly, but as soon as I walked in, I was greeted by an employee and offered help with selection. I ultimately chose and test-drove a light-weight hybrid bike. I found On the Move’s prices to be more reasonable than two other bike shops I visited on Seventh Ave. I’ve already been back once for a repair, and service was speedy.
