i’ll agree with the previous reviewer that the girls who are working at this great boutique seem to be getting snootier and snootier.
as recently as a year ago, i felt like the shop girls were chatty, friendly, and not as interested in selling you something as understanding their customer, and what she’s looking for.
this has changed somewhat.
i really really hate when sales people contradict themselves in the sales process… telling one customer that a shoe is comfortable, but agreeing with another that the same shoe really isn’t so comfortable (when compared to the style that 2^nd customer seems closer to buying). that sort of thing is not so cool.
the buyer /​owner is amazing though. and friendly! i miss seeing her in the store!

I’ve been coming here for a few years now and hope that it stays true. Great labels, It’s my place to buy the perfect dress or shoes. They have a great jean collection. Everything is carefully chosen. This is a girl’s dream store. The staff is always helpful and supportive without being to overbearing. Asking their advise can be like shopping with a girlfriend. I am a total loyal and devoted fan**

I just love this place. What really sets Bird apart is the excellent and friendly staff. They frequently recommend pieces I’d never pick out myself but wind up being a favorite for years to come.

I want to marry the buyer for this store. No really. I want to marry the buyer of this store and hope that a) it’s a she and b) she’s a size 2 so that we can integrate (read: I can steal) our (read: her) wardrobe (s). Sure things are sometimes a bit on the pricey side, but it is so so worth it. I am constantly amazed that I want to purchase almost EVERY SINGLE THING in the store.
Way to go, Bird-​buyer!

This is the type of boutique that I’d love to own: totally mellow atmosphere with lots of lesser-​known indie and european labels. Never crowded, perfect staff. As I’m known to be a last-​minute shopper, often looking for a dress or perfect outfit mere hours before an event… I’ve always scored at Bird with some unique piece that gets loads of compliments. Love it.

I think this is my new favorite store. Actually, yeah, it is. Whoever the buyer is, I think they deserve a raise.
Clothing from Vanessa Bruno, Isabel Marant (my 2 Euro faves that are really hard to find), 3.1 by Philip Lim, Nicole Farhi, Helmut Lang, APC, Steven Alan, Grey Ant, See by Chloe, Sunshine & Shadow, Splendid, Mayle, etc etc etc. (Jeans from Acne, Earnest Sewn, James Jeans…) and a sprinkling of jewelry from Bing Bang, Philip Crangi/​Giles and Brother, etc… lingerie from Dessous, Eberjey, Only Hearts…
I love the vintage tapestry/​curtains in the dressing rooms. They are nice and roomy too with plenty of hooks, a chair, and a large full-​length mirror. There’s nothing worse than trying clothes on in a cramped room with no mirror and nowhere to hang anything.
The girls are all super friendly and helpful as well. My only complaint is that it isn’t close to where I live.
