No complaints at all. Except my table was a little too dim. Food was great. Ambiance was fun yet romantic. Order the Kano salad, crab cakes, and spring roll appetizers. Out of Control sushi roll was delicious. For main course, teriyaki salmon and steak dishes.

I came here last Friday to celebrate a friend’s bday, we had an awesome night! Our host, Sunny, was super friendly and courteous. Hospitality service was an excellence. Food was delicious! My girls and I had a great night here, a great and memorable night. Thank you Sunny! I will definitely be back again and will recommend to all my friends! I don’t usually give a 5 stars, this is a first and Fushimi at Williamsburg totally deserves it!

We ate here at least once a week since we moved to the neighborhood in March. The sushi was good at the beginning. The past three weeks, the salmon avocado rolls are just disgusting, and gave us a bad stomach ache on the border of food poisoning. Not going to eat there ever again, and I recommend that you’ll avoid it too if your health is important to you.

I reserved the private booth, great drinks & good vibes. The food was flavorful but the plates are small. Overall an enjoyable experience.

This place feels very strange but kinda cool for a sushi spot. Walking in you are greeted with the Cliché Sake drums at the door, and then the ceiling opens up once inside. The colors grab your attention in the bar area, Dining room, and private booths. We sat next to the window and order several rolls which were excellent and made with quality. The rolls were put together tightly with no loose pieces falling when trying to eat it. Ingredients were fresh and high quality. The cocktails on the menu were a little too contemporary IMO. Service was excellent. The waitresses we had were Thai and not Japanese(Typical of NYC) and were very friendly and attentive. Overall cool spot, feels like dining in an 80s action movie mix 90s Dance club, but it was fun.

I meant to post this review a few months ago. Beautiful décor, delicious food, and top-notch service. They offer a variety of food to fit all tastes and all budgets. Good place for drinks with friends, business meeting, birthday, wedding, etc.

Been many times– good for impressing first timers. Beautiful décor and atmosphere. Trendy with house music playing, cool lighting; giving off a nightclub type vibe and a long hallway leading to the bathrooms that is super cool and has most people stopping to take a picture(which is pretty funny) The food itself is pretty good as well. Lobster Miso soup and the Seafood bisque are both good soup starters. The Petite Filet is as well, and the Edamame hits the spot. My go to is usually the Rock Shrimp Tempura or the Shrimp Shumai Sushi is good– some of the signature rolls that stand out include the Lobster Roll, the Miso Chilean Seabass roll(w spicy scallop on top) and the Fushimi King Roll(King Crab Avocado Shrimp Spicy Tuna Spicy Yellowtail) Overall 7.5−8 out of 10 food with a 9 out of 10 atmosphere making it a cool go to for late night sushi -

HB and I visited recently from the recommendation of a friend, and it was pretty cool. On a Friday night, I assumed it would’ve been packed and hard to get a table in a reasonable amount of time, but I was wrong. We sat at the bar for maybe 5m, and was seated. It wasn’t packed at all, which was kind of odd, but nonetheless all good. Ambiance is pretty much what everyone stated. Food time — well I got the Veg spring rolls, which were awesome! HB got the edamame, soup, and sushi. I’m not a sushi kind of girl, so I can’t comment, but HB said it was good. Moving on to the main — I got Roasted Organic chicken option which was pretty good and filling! Really enjoyed this meal. Just the right amount of food. HB had the steak, which he also said was great and just the right amount. We washed it down w/Sangria and Saki and we were good to go. I’d return, although as the general consensus states it’s a bit pricey, but what’d you expect for all the décor?! Service was good too.

The décor is outstanding. Check out photos. Lots of cool lights and vibrant colors. Really special. Would come back based solely on ambiance. Food is pretty good. Sushi was very good while other dishes we sampled were only ok. Prices are high. Service was eh. But overall, thumbs up. I’ll be back!

Fushimi — is it a club or a Japanese restaurant? The inside is beautiful, but very outside the norm of a typical Japanese establishment*. When you walk in you’re immediately hit with neon lights, giant decorations and a very nightclub vibe. To be honest, it’s not my usual scene(I prefer more of a traditional type) but this was a fun alternative. The menu has the usual offerings from rolls to sashimi with a few fun fusion items. My friend had the Crab-Avocado salad which consisted of a halved avocado stuffed with crab meat. Very inventive. I went for the classic sushi rolls — Shrimp Tempura, Philadelphia and Spicy Tuna roll. All were very good and not to mention… presented beautifully. The plating here is spot on, very classy. However, for the price tag of the items, I don’t know if it’s worth it for the basic sushi rolls that I ordered. We also ordered the Vanilla Mochi Ice Cream which was pretty good. Small portions but tasty. If you’re looking for a different venue and you go for the outside-the-box items… Fushimi might be the place for you. Overall, fun experience. _______________________ *If anything, check out the bathrooms. They’re very cool. And if you want to strut yourself through the tunnel and pretend you’re on a runway… you can do that too. #sorrynotsorry

Fushimi is my favorite Japanese fusion restaurant in the city. The low light ambiance and vibe is very modern and eccentric. The service is great; making a reservation is recommended and they seem to always seat me promptly, sometimes ahead of time. My favorite appetizer here is definitely the Petit Filet Mignon served with a side of mashed potatoes. It’s a decent portion size and being that sushi isn’t all that filling to me, helps fill me up. It’s cooked perfectly to order and the mash adds a nice touch to it. While I do like classic rolls they can be a little boring sometimes but Fushimi has more than enough signature/special rolls on the menu to compensate. My favorite this far is the Fire and ice– spicy tuna with all the toppings. It’s very flavorful and gets your tastebuds tingling. The drinks menu isn’t hard to navigate. A pitcher of red sangria usually does the trick for me. It’s about $ 30 and provides for a little more than 4 large glasses. It’s more refreshing than strong but for sushi I feel it’s a perfect match. Definitely recommended.

So I’ve been dying to go here for the longest time. All that anticipation was ruined by the drinks and the food. The atmosphere was amazing but I don’t really care if the food is mediocre. For my drink I tried the Strawberry Sake Mojito, with a name like that I expected it to put me on my ass. Instead it tasted like a Tropicana smoothie poured right out the bottle. At this point I really was debating whether I could postmate a real Mojito for Sea. The apps sounded delicious, I orders the lobster miso soup as my friend did as well with the inclusion of the rock shrimp tempura. The soup was okay… Just a few chopped up pieces of lobster added to regular miso. Not impressed. The shrimp were pretty good, basically popcorn shrimp tossed in a spicy sauce. Basic. For our meals my friend ordered the Surf and Turf and shrimp fried rice. The steak was tender but really micro. The star of the meal was the fried rice, very flavorful. I had the salmon teriyaki, they brought my meal out without the potatoes and I had to ask Stef the waitress to get them. The salmon was good… Nothing really to say about it but okay. The price I would not have mind if the food was spectacular but instead it was average. I’ve been to way better Japanese restaurants for half the price.

The décor and the ambiance are very modern and eccentric. It’s a nice scene to have a romantic date or even a group event; I’ve done both here. The staff is wonderful, they aim to please. The food and the desserts are pretty good. I’ve had no complaints in all the times I’ve been here. The lobster and shrimp risotto is one of my favorite dishes. It’s light and fresh. The lamb is also very delicious. It’s seasoned well and cooked to perfection. Don’t forget to try the homemade tiramisu… Heaven. They are a bit pricey but its definitely worth it. I noticed there were many complaints on Unilocal about the portions being too small which I don’t find true. An appetizer, entrée, and dessert will have you feeling stuffed when you walk out.

The décor seems very confused to me, it’s a mish-mash of dim white lighting, neon lighting(cool blue, neon pink, bright red), black string curtains, artificial flowers with a rainbow of colors in some vases, mosaic walls near the restrooms, red fabric covered booth chairs in the middle, gigantic silver halfballs on the ceiling, crystal ball curtains… confused. The brunch with unlimited drinks(mimosas, bellinis, bloody Marys’) and appetizer, entrée was too expensive($ 40).

I’m giving this place a 5 star due to modern décor, delicious sushi and fantastic happy hour specials! I love the décor and vibe of this place, the lighting and the music add to a great ambiance for eating sushi, I’ve had two dates here you can’t go wrong, unless your me and on a date. I ordered the Spicy Edamame and it came out with a thick spicy paste, I enjoy it better than regular edamame. Ordered the Spicy Tuna Roll and the Spicy Tuna Gyoza, the Tuna Gyoza is served crispy with Guacamole that has a touch of Jalapeño so if you like Guacamole like I do it won’t disappoint. Happy hour is buy one beer and get one free so I’ll be back for that one!

My boyfriend and I pass by this place all the time and kind of had a running joke that it belongs in Vegas, not Williamsburg. But we were oh so pleasantly surprised when we had dinner there. The staff was so nice and helpful, the sushi so fresh it melted in your mouth and the cocktail list was new and exciting. Sometimes eating sushi out will break your bank but Fushimi has very affordable prices. Our check was under $ 100. I highly recommend for a delicious night out.

I came here for date night on Friday with a Groupon voucher. Because $ 35 for $ 60 worth of food and drinks seems like a good deal, right? For 8pm, it wasn’t crowded at all. But when we mentioned that we didn’t have a reservation, they stuck us with the worst seats in the house — in a separate room isolated from the modern décor in the main lounge and dining area. It was uncomfortably quiet and aesthetically displeasing. I requested a table change, since I believe atmosphere can make or break your experience, but they informed us there were no other seats available even though we had just walked past several. The rock shrimp tempura makes a good appetizer, was served in a beautiful imported bowl from Japan, and had the right amount of spicy aioli to give it that kick. But the cajun truffle scallops were a complete waste of a dish — they only give you five thin pieces, and the rest is salad. On the bright side, our martinis were strong and came in sleek stemless glassware. Our entrée was the Sushi & Sashimi for Two, which was served in a large tray over ice. Unfortunately, the quality of fish was only mediocre. Although the salmon was good, the fatty tuna was basically flavorless! The angry dragon seemed small for a «special roll,» too. What a letdown. Fushimi gives me the impression that they care more about looks than taste. It functions better as a bar/lounge rather than a restaurant. Would never pay full prices for the food served here. Cannot recommend.

I absolutely loved the interior/atmosphere. It’s gorgeous inside with hot pink accents, crystals, and just beautifully decorated. The seats are plush, comfortable and the booth is very cozy and private. Oh and there’s a very cool tunnel lit up in purple that leads to the restroom, which you should check out. =) Also, the 5-course lunch deal was $ 13… Can’t get better than that! It included unlimited refills of a drink of your choice. Then soup and I chose the crystal vegetable one which was light and tasty. After that, the salad. For my main course, I picked the ribeye teriyaki which I ordered well done. However, when I received it, it was actually still pink. Rather than have them recook it, I asked if I could switch to a different entrée and they allowed it, which I appreciate very much. I chose the American Dream meal which was shrimp tempura and crab roll. I really enjoyed it. Tasted wonderful– Delicious! Last course was dessert and I chose the red bean ice cream. It had a nice, delicate flavor to it. Perfect end to a wonderful meal.
