This store is always chaotic and the cashiers are never friendly. The prepared foods aren’t fresh. I wouldn’t shop here except that I need to due to location.

Needed to come and replenish my boyfriends refrigerator and what better close to home place like Giant Eagle since Columbus is full of them. I appreciate Giant Eagle stores because most usually they are clean, filled with helpful and courteous staff members. I used to work at Giant Eagle in high school so i know for a fact the company focuses on excellent service and products. I had a few questions about location of some items and was helped quickly. The cashier was extremely nice and started friendly conversation. I was a little disappointed to see fuel perks in cleveland are only $ 0.10 per every $ 50 spent whereas in Columbus its $ 0.20 spent. But hey, free gas perks is always better than nothing!

Shoppers… I feel this is my HOME… heck, my Mortgage is Cheaper. lol…other than that The Manager, Tim… is OUTSTANDING… he is visable actually working, greets all his Shoppers, seems he knows everybody by name. I am disabeled and need a electric cart, well he saw me pull in and bam. curb side service… and he has a great staff that most folks overlook… Billy, he is the Porter. he is in his 60s, 70s… and he keeps the place spotless. I have seen him in some places cleaning I would NEVERCLEAN!!///as in 1 day someone grafittied the mens room with poop… all over the walls, floors.etc.and he cleaned it with a smile, if he does not see his customers for more than 2 days he worries… always asking about my legs getting better… how is my wife. etc…he is awesome!.. then the next 3 are the employees who keep the carts clean and in the store… Joyce, Johnny and Suzzane… all 3 hard workers, friendly, caring… a true Joy… these 4 are the biggest reason i come… as, well… I wont say, but these 4 worth more than they are paid. i am sure!

As of late, I have a distaste for all Giant Eagles as I’ve incurred the same problems at multiple locations now. STOPSELLINGSPOILED/ROTTEN FOOD. Seriously. Not only are you selling sub-par merchandise to your customers, you’re putting health at risk. The remodels here look fantastic but I’m wondering at what cost. We moved out of state to NC before the remodels, and while we were down south I yearned for and often bragged about Giant Eagle’s selection and abundance of fresh produce selection. BOY was that a shell shock when I got home and discovered my once beloved Giant Eagle now sucks. We’ve actually been there before when they had visibly rotting produce(clementines are the ones I remember vividly) rotting on the shelf. I’m not talking over-ripe, I’m talking covered in white mold and seeping nasty syrupy juice all over the shelf. We one time made the mistake of sticking up on a bunch of produce, only to have it rot within 1 – 2 days. They refunded us and gave us a gift card, which was appreciated — BUT: Packaged foods aren’t safe either. Have also had molded over tortillas(well before the expiration date). When I called the 1 – 800 number I was told that Giant Eagle wasn’t responsible, the manufacturer was. Unless it’s a GE brand product it’s not their fault, she told me. What?! You’re the one storing and selling it. I didn’t buy it from the mfg, I bought it from GE. I was offered a refund, but who wants to drive out of their way back to the grocery store for $ 2.49 when you’ve already went grocery shopping for the month and did so after a shift at work? Not I. Bottom line, I’ve had a lot of incidences like these and it hasn’t been isolated. I can only assume to fund the excessive remodels they’ve lowered their standards of quality. I won’t shop at any GE if I can avoid it now. Also, they now sell craft draft beer in growlers, but the employees selling it have 0 knowledge of what they’re selling and haven’t even been trained on how to do a proper pour. I gave one nice sales lady some knowledge on both for her future reference. She didn’t know when pouring a glass you needed to tip it so that you didn’t wind up with all foam. At least one knows now. On a side note, this location DOES have a very nice bottled beer selection, and the addition of the«build your own 6 pack» is really nice too. I would give GE just one store given my recent experiences, but I have also shopped here for literally all but one year of my life and know what they have, and could be, again.

Basically Giant Eagle is like a Kroger except for the customer service part. Same crappy layouts, same products carried. But Giant Eagle(and this is not just at this one) has horrid customer service. Lanes are rarely staffed, no baggers usually, and as far as the scant employees on the floor, they won’t even make eye contact. Worse still those that do, immediately give off the impression that you the shopper are bothering them. The store is clean and has a limited menu restaurant(copy Buehler’s much?) that serves beer. Wine selection is very good. Liquor store selection below average. Meat department offerings are poor. Produce department is average.

I dislike this store. Its small and cramped. The layout of the aisles and food are horrible compared to other GE’s. I believe the last time I saw baby mixed in with trash bags in the aisle. Confusing! The parking lot is a pain also. Could be better.

It’s my neighborhood Giant Eagle, very clean and the employees are very helpful! Neat thing is my core items cost is on par of the discount places and the bonus I get for using my Giant Eagle card for gas savings is sweet!!! But be forewarned!!! Many items carried by GE can be much costlier… Do your homework peoples!!!

This store is large. There is dry cleaning and day care service(for while you shop only) in the front and a pretty decent sized florist that accepts orders as well as sells from a stocked area. There is also a good sized bakery and deli and alcohol department mostly along the perimeter of the first part of the store. There is a small rack of gift cards when you walk in but a much larger selection in the front of the store by the registers. There are a lot of self-check out machines at this location which I always like using. The only thing that annoys me about this store is the tile floor — why they made the produce section ceramic tile when carts must noisily roll over it I do not know.
