Came in looking for a few items i couldn’t find at Giant Eagle, wasn’t able to find them but was helped by very courteous workers. aisles were clean and lines were moving quickly. .i like the Marcs chains makes me feel like i am back home!

Oh my God I cannot believe this. I came to town to Cleveland to visit and I’m trying to pick my girlfriend up from the airport and I stop at this grocery store. I walk in and I see flowers. I go to the customer service counter and ask them if I can pay there and they said yes. I take out my credit card and they say they only take Discover, cash or check. Are you kidding me!!! let me say that again; discover cash or check what business on this planet doesn’t take credit cards so I walked out. The end

I always seem to get stuck in the«closeouts» section of Marc’s buying something I didn’t know I needed. From clothing(yay for Target clothing for $ 2.99), to patio accessories(the Umbrella for my patio for $ 40!), to teaching supplies(educational games, regular games, dry-erase markers, etc. all dirt cheap!) I’m bound to find something I can’t live without. Then let’s move to the produce aisle. Cheap produce everywhere… and even organic. Personally, I find Marc’s has a better produce selection and of better quality produce than The Bird ever does, and generally for less $$(The Bird = Giant Eagle). Across the board, Marc’s food costs me less money than other groceries. While they may not always have everything you need on your list, the trip to Marc’s is worth it in the dollars you save and the unexpected closeout bargain that will make your life so much better.

I’m just not a fan of Marc’s. I realise the products here are often cheaper, but I just can’t bring myself in here to get them. Whenever I go the queues are so long. The«new» conveyor belts they got are old. They need a self-check out lane and I might consider trying the place again. Also, while the store has been changing over the years to add different departments like meat and deli, the stocking of the store is interesting. The entire back of the store from the deli to the wall is now drinks or all different kinds. I think the focus needs to go off of discount in areas where discount means sacrificing on quality and store experience. And they really need to accept more credit cards than just Discover — although that in and of itself was a long time in coming!
