I like coming here for a low key night with a friend or two, takeover the jukebox, and play some pool. I like the patio especially when the weather is just right. Drinks are generally pretty generous :)

A few buddies of mine go to Ginger’s all the time. Inexpensive drinks, super friendly staff, and an awesome jukebox with great music. What more could you want?!

Stopped in Valentine’s night with my girlfriend to grab a couple of drinks after work. I liked the vibe immediately: fairly diverse crowd, not too packed, fun music, and fast, attentive service. We chilled in the back room and talked while watching a group play pool, and I didn’t feel as though I had to yell in order to be heard. The music(and, of course, alcohol) made me want to dance, but it doesn’t seem like that’s a thing here. I’ll totally be back.

This review is long overdue — and I will write an updated one. I will visit again to give it a chance, but the chance isn’t in my immediate future. It was full of middle edge, butch women. I think some of them just got out the pent — maybe. Just maybe. A dash of young, attractive women would’ve made the place a little interesting. It was pretty hot in there too — temperature wise. The seats were uncomfortable. The three stars are for the service and drinks combined. Maybe, I’ll visit again. Second time may be a charm. Just maybe.

One Friday night: «Where are you?» «Um…at a bar in park slope.» «So…are you coming up here?» «Its three transfers and one service interruption away. It says 97 minutes!» I stayed in Park Slope. Breaking it down: — $ 5 pink pussycat shots(bubblegum vodka, pineapple juice, grenadine — thank me later) –great back patio –cash only –pool table But most importantly… Pink Pussycat Shots!

Miss Sarit and I came here for their advertised 80’s night in one of those local NYC papers they pass out on the subway. Although I knew already it was a lesbian bar, since I have been here before; people were very accepting and nonjudgemental. We got no dirty looks, and in fact several people talked to us, hung out with us and even danced with us! The owner here is very, very nice and accommodating bringing out party favors like disco-lighted maracas and other fun stuff. She even would organize some kind of improv choreographed group dance with everyone on the dance floor. The only two complaints I have is that the drinks are overpriced and overwatered down, and the DJ needs to upgrade to a Mac or something. It was novel seeing her spin it with CD’s, but that also brings about the problems with requesting songs, skipping, dead air, etc. It was pretty amateur, sadly. Overall though I do like this bar and it’s a lot of fun. A really nice chill, mellow place to hang out where people are not pretentious and just love to have fun!
