Food: The mac and cheese was really great, I can only imagine it’s better with toppings/mix-ins. However both burgers we ordered were rare even though we both asked for medium. Overall, for the price we paid, I didn’t feel it was worth it. Although the mac was a highlight, I can get a bigger portion of the same quality for cheaper at other restaurants. Honestly the rare burger soured me on the whole experience, especially considering we were the only people in the place ordering food at the time. It’s hard to believe they messed up the order when it was so slow. Service: Nice enough but mostly inattentive. Just meh.

I love this place! Best Mac & cheese w/bacon and caramelized onions in the world! Buffalo wings are tasty not so spicy and the garlic fries are awesome! One waitress there makes a delicious freshly squeeze lemonade you’re very lucky when she’s on shift! The atmosphere is very friendly and cozy, TOTALLYRECOMMEND!

My family and I, party of 8, came here for Saturday brunch at 2pm. The place was completely empty. EMPTY! NOTONECUSTOMER. We figured, what the hec, let’s give them a try. We ordered our food and after about an hour wait, our food finally arrived. The food itself was completely average. Not bad, but nothing great either. Nothing to make me want to come back The waitress was friendly. I don’t know, maybe this place is busier at night. I think they may want to reconsider offering brunch. If you’re looking for brunch, I’d say skip this place. There are plenty of other places in the area that I’m sure will have much better food.

Ordered a medium cooked burger and I got a raw instead. The waiters/bartenders are way too friendly but hey, that’s Williamsburg.

Horrible food. Expensive for no reason. Do not go. Do not order from. Mac and cheese sucks. Fries totally suck. Pulled pork sandwich is the smallest sandwich I’ve ever seen and is gross as hell. The bangers and mash is crazy bad, the mash is super runny(packet mashed potatoes are five stars compared to this awful excuse of ‘mash’) and the sausage is bullshit. The wings will probably be the death of me in a few hours because they tasted really old. My last words are probably this Unilocal review because I’ll probably die soon from this food.

You know when you have secret dream thoughts and then they come true? This place will make your food dreams come true(no joke). We ordered a hummus and tzatziki plate at the bar; the combo was incredible and the pita slices warm and fresh. We finished the bread but had a lot of hummus left over. I secretly hoped we could get some additional bread to finish it off without having to pay a bread refill price. The bar tender came over at that moment and offered additional bread, it arrived warm and delicious. Oh my what a dream. Happy hour domestic beers are $ 3, great deal, great service.

Whatever you do, DONOTEATHERE. Disgusting meals and even more disgusting service. The so called«manager» behind the bar does not care whether you think the food is edible or not. As long as you pay for it. We complained and received the worst attitude I have ever experienced in this city. She shouldn’t be managing anything. Period.

I live in the neighborhood so popped in a few times. Last time I went I ordered the bangers & mash. Biggest disappointment ever — smallest portion of mash ever(+cold) and deepfried sausages that tasted like shit. Waitress didn’t care about it all. Ordered the burger instead. Got a beautiful burned burger.

Ordered from here 3 years ago hated it and decided to give a go again. I’m a Brit living in NYC. Fish and Chips are bad, really bad. I think it’s because they don’t drain the fish, the outside is crispy but inside is very watery. You need to grill the fish first before frying and we don’t think they do that. Or it is because it’s frozen-not fresh. The cod itself is very small– do not at all expect anything like the british beasts! Fries very over salted. Wouldn’t go here again, no complaints on the service or people, and have never been inside the bar.

I am a bar food junky. This place has my vote for most outstanding wings in the hood. I’ll put them up against any place in the city. The Guinness stew is classic. The chocolate croissant pudding is out of control. Best pour of Old Speckled Hen that I know of. I continually return to GB as do my friends. My fiancée and I have brought our respective families here numerous times. Everyone loves it. Don’t let the service reviews sway your decision. I’ve been here too many times to know that extreme exceptions happen every now and again. I’ve never experienced bad service. I guess it’s possible, but not likely. Who knows. Get over it. This place is great. Go.

Tiny portion on the fish and chips. The oil smelled like it had not been changed in a while. Place empty on Saturday night at 730. Server inattentive. My girlfriend had a stomach ache 5 minutes after leaving. Need to find quick bite bc I’m leaving hungry. It’s a pass.

We went in on a Sunday afternoon to grab a quick drink while we waited for the ferry. The staff were trying incredibly hard, unfortunately just not to do their job. The barman asked if we wanted to order food, but when my boyfriend said we just wanted a drink, he just handed him the menu and walked away. The bar was empty except 3 tables, but it took another 5 minutes for the other bartender to come over and serve us. I don’t find that kind of service interesting or edgy or whatever it’s trying to be, so I wouldn’t recommend this place. Two stars because it has wifi.

A great chill, somewhat sporty, neighborhood bar. I had Strongbow hard cider and chatted with other friendly customers. Felt very homey.

This place offered an all-around incredible experience. Friendly wait-staff, a rustic chic open a space, inexpensive yet quality beer selections during happy hour, and a satisfying array of authentic British food to boot. I run by here every day on my way to the gym – glad I finally got the chance to stop in and see what the fuss is about. I recommend the cottage pie or the fish and chips – neither lacks flavor or personality.

The pulled chicken sandwich is like eating an authenic taco from East Harlem but on a bun. The sauce had a nice kick of spice and the guacamole added an interesting spin to the sandwich. I loved the fries as well. And did I mention the bartender who resembles Jon Hamm? I’m going to stop at that.

I’ve been here three times in three years, which shows my level of enthusiasm at the restaurant. It’s fine, but I’m never going out of my way to eat here. What they are doing they’re doing well, but it’s not a very high degree of difficulty. It’s pub grub, plain and simple. One visit I had a nicely assembled hamburger, cooked medium rare when ordered as such, with juice that soaked into the bun. There wasn’t much in terms of flavor that didn’t come from the added ketchup, but nothing here stood in the way. I like the lower-than-normal four tops in the back of the restaurant, which are prefect for conversation away from the nice bar right near the door. The nearly all wood interior is a particular type of cozy that is probably best appreciated in winter. I’d recommend ordering the mac and cheese on those cold nights. Get the buffalo sauce to kick up the intensity and soak up the carbs and cut it with a pint or two. There are definitely worse meals you’ll have in your life.

Had lunch here yesterday and was not disappointed. My friend lives in the area so she suggested this place. They have $ 3 mimosas which are served in short glasses but definitely do the trick. I had the salmon burger with French fries. DELISH!!! Great portions. I ate everything and felt satisfied after. The place wasn’t crowded at all which was great. The waitress was attentive without being overbearing and turned on the AC when we asked — it was kind of stuffy. I’m not sure that I’ll be back to this place since I don’t live in the area but if I visit her again I definitely will.
