Great hair cut, greater value. Why pay $ 40+ for hipster frills when you can look good and not feel like an entitled fop. Eric is a salt of the earth Russian Jew who can pull off any look. If you asked, he could cut a life like portrait of Bill Murray in to your scalp. If you’re just looking for a good looking cut, he can do that too.

Eric was great. A perfect flattop. Not easy to find. Best price in my neighborhood by far. I will be going back.

i hate the anxiety i get from getting haircuts from new people but i was in need of a change from my past barber who messed up my hair countless times. i came here on a recommendation from a friend who told me misha and ray are legit the best barbers hands down. i came here yesterday on a saturday and it was packed. i waited 1.5 hours to get ray because misha was off and trust me, it was worth it. ray was relaxed, attentive, meticulous, and didnt talk too much. overall great friendly and professional atmosphere. definitely recommended

Amazing cost: $ 13 Owner had over 30 years of experience Great quality Eric(owner) was very friendly and courteous. He was really great to talk to while he cut my hair. Even though his next appt was waiting, he took his time with my haircut. I’m very satisfied with the price($ 13) and overall quality. He even offered for me to come in two weeks for a touch up — at no charge. Eric is a new business owner. He’s was working very hard to please me as a new customer. I highly recommend.

Classic New York Barber. You can overpay for a $ 45 sideparted high buzzed trim at those suspender wearing artisanal handcrafted organic barbershops popping up around the hood, and maybe get a free cortado/espresso or pabst blue ribbon while you wait and pretend you are in Portlandia. But the fact is, this is brooklyn and sometimes all you need is a well blended fade or clean trim off the top and sides that looks tight and smart, and cost only 13 bucks. But if the complimentary beverage is your thing, Eric has rum and whiskey available. Hes a nice guy, no ego, no pretense. He does it all. I abandoned trying to wear my thinning hair, and went with 5 – 1 crew buzz.(Top/side). Im happy. And my wallet is happy too.

This is one of the few barbers in NYC(I’ve been to over 15 in my 8 years in NYC) who I can actually trust when he says«let me take care of you». The attention to detail and overall attentiveness is just superb and you definitely feel the care that you don’t feel at the other more popular barbershops. The vibe is also great, non-pretentious, and easy going, Great addition to the neighborhood and I will definitely be going back!

I’m twenty one years in the neighborhood and this place is a great addition. I’ve gone to Astor Place forever; This is Brooklyn’s answer. Great haircut, great price! Eric is skilled, personable, and around the corner! I’m a believer. Can’t recommend this place highly enough.
