About the best massage I’ve ever had in my life, and that’s saying something. It’s no frills and not for the faint or modest, but he found and released pain I didn’t know I had, and I walked out a new woman! I used to go to Wu Lim on Grand in Nolita which is great, but this was better, also it was fully nude as opposed to clothed. He even put some version of Icy Hot on my shins(the most painful part for me) and topped it with a fantastic foot massage. I would go every other day if I could! I’ve been known to fly to NYC just for good body work, and this is the best place I’ve found yet. 5 stars all the way. To top it off, he wasn’t mad at me for not paying with cash. He took my card, no problem. $ 71 for 90 minutes. I think it is a husband and wife team and they really know what they are doing.

I’m confused by all the good reviews. I got a very mediocre 60m massage, much better to go to the place a block down.

Five stars because in this category of massage for this price you don’t get luxury. I go looking for good bodywork /massage and the understanding that the tables might be a little hard or creaky and the environs a bit shabby. I’ve been going to Qi Lin in Chinatown for a few years and the massage was generally good but it felt too much like a refugee camp and the attitudes were kind of nasty. So I went looking for a place near home in Greenpoint. I’ve tried several on Manhattan ave and was never really impressed. This place however really takes the cake. REALLY good massage and Tui Na nice man and woman — not sure if they own the place or what but they’re both really good and seem to know what they’re doing — unlike some places where it can seem like the masseuse was trained in an hour and just turned loose. If you want a massage and you’re debating between the 5 or so places on manhattan ave. choose this one.

90 mins of deep tissue massage with reflexology and hot stone = $ 60. Really can’t beat that. Very nice man and woman who run this place. They don’t speak much english, but give great massages and are intuitive to where you hold tension. The place in clean with no frills and might not be for the modest as they barely cover you with a towel, but overall, highly recommended. I go here just about every other week to keep my stress levels low.

Dig this place. I usually go to Sunshine in Park Slope but this place was a really awesome, in-town location, even threw in the hot stone treatment and took me after-hours. Super nice though not super fluent English-speakers, one of the better Tui Na locations in the area. As a note, if you walk into a Tui Na massage spot and expect to «relax» and«feel good» or be «gently caressed», you won’t. These are medical massages and they can be painful, but thats the point(dingus!) I have two herniated discs in my back and Tui Na is the only thing that helps. THe next day is like enlightenment, regardless of how rough the treatment might be during the massage.

I’ve been going to Green Bodywork for several months now and the place has been very consistent. Though they don’t speak english well, they seem to be able to read your mind and body and know where to go to untie the knots that seem to bother you. The décor is typical of a chinese spa — just be glad the prices seem to be in-line with the décor! Mr. Tan who owns the spa is also a licensed acupuncturist with the State of New York and does acupuncture on Saturdays. If you have a sprain or headache or just want to try an alternative remedy, I recommend you book an appointment and give it a go.

Under $ 50 for an hour with hot stone. Clean. Polite. They speak no English, but make anything you point at feel awesome. Nice tingly acupressure stuff without asking, too. :)

This is an awesome place to get a relaxing massage. The other day I had a terrible pain on my shoulder, I was worried about having to go to the doctor. I decided to go for the massage. I told the masseuse of my shoulder pain, she put some healing cream on it massaged over and over. Finally after this my pain started to gradually disappear over the next 24 hours. Great healing hands there.
