Come check this place out. The sandwiches are delicious. The owner was extremely helpful in choosing meat and cheeses. I have also enjoyed their cheese and meat boards for a few of my parties and have never been let down.

This place is a hit or miss for me. I’ve been here about 10 times and sometimes it is a 5 star experience and others a 1. The products, meats and cheeses are excellent — it’s the sandwiches that need some work. They are inconsistent and when items are not available they don’t make you aware. For example, I had the avocado sandwich a few days ago and it was amazing — today I ordered it and it came not open faced, on a different bread and two of the four ingredients were missing.

This place is delicious, fun, and approachable. Where other artisanal food shops in North Brooklyn can be pretentious and snooty, the Greenpoint Cheese and Meat ladies are friendly and helpful. Their cheese selection is phenomenal, they give wonderful guidance, and they don’t skimp when it comes to giving samples! Not to mention they have lots of other interesting food products as well. Perfect place to stop on your way to a party (or if, you know, you just need some indulgent treats for yourself).

Been coming to this place for all of my cheese and meat needs since they opened. The owners are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to help with suggestions. In addition to the amazing selection of top-​quality meats/​cheeses they also carry a great selection of other artisanal goodies like olives, mustards, confections and more.
Though I haven’t gotten one myself (yet) they also do really incredible platters for parties/​events — I know people who have purchased large cheese/​meat platters from here and have absolutely loved them.
I highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in the market for some delicious meats and cheeses, you won’t be disappointed.

This is a beautiful neighborhood shop! I was looking for an assortment of cheeses for a big dinner party– and this place came highly recommended by a friend. I don’t know a whole lot about cheese and provisions, so I greatly appreciated the help from the knowledgable staff! They walked me through a variety of options and pairings, allowed me to sample from their huge selection and I left with fantastic cheese and meat board. I’ve been backs few times since and love their daily sandwich!

what a fabulous shop. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable about the products they sell and for local organic products their prices are reasonable. We discussed what I might prefer and even provided samples, which were generous portions. I purchased two different types of cheese, one sausage, a baguette and a jar of maple bourbon bread and butter pickles. They also had coffee, chocolate treats, and other various smaller items, such as towels, and charcuterie accoutrement. I believe they also make sandwiches while the store is open and provide catering. They don’t have tables, but noticed that chairs were outside. Any foodie in your life will love a gift from there, I’m sure. I will definitely be visiting again and most likely purchasing too many items that will be on impulse!
