It’s really too bad this place closed, the catering for my wedding was perfect.

Review for Catering; I could not be happier with the drop off catering from Radish. Seriously, amazing. I have used them twice for office product launch party catering and they are amazing. Super Super Super nice people to deal. Delivery to LES was no problem, love.

Really everything I’ve had here is great– from banana muffins to brussel sprout salad with bacon & pomegranate, and even their daily drip coffee! A real treat(especially their caramels for sale!) So glad this popped up on the pretty predictable Bedford Ave!!!

Living in the neighborhood, I’ve been a regular here at Radish for the past two years. The ready-to-eat meals are usually tasty and the homemade kombucha is delish. I was drawn in last week by plentiful pies and fruit loaves resting on the shelves for Thanksgiving. Upon entering and picking out two of these baked goods for my family meal, I brought them to the register to hear«$ 75, please.» I did a double take and asked the woman to ring it up again. Turns out the price was correct. Two hours later, driving south in my car, I decided to call Radish to reconfirm that I hadn’t been punk’d. Upon asking the cost of their pies, the woman who answered said«45 dollars.» While I was the one foolish enough to agree to spend the money in the hopes of a pie to end all pies, after more time to reflect, I’ve decided it’s simply offensive. The pie was average(my family conducted a blind taste test with a similar pie costing $ 12 and it was a virtual tie) and the price was truly egregious. Radish has lost me as a customer unless I get a damn good explanation for the cost of that pie. Taking advantage of your customers is bad business, particularly for a neighborhood spot.

Good and healthy food such as salads and kale and quinoa. Also, they are open till 9pm so it is perfect to get a quick bit for dinner. I recommend the chicken tenders with the mustard sauce.

I’ve gotta say. Damn good brisket. Everyone was nice, there was a cozy place to sit in the back where I was unbothered, and I couldn’t get over the brisket tastiness. Unfortunately, no wi-fi. Oh well. Did I mention the brisket, though? Damn, it was good.

Radish is very charming, its cozy space reminiscent of country kitchen sprinkled with industrial. There are plenty of sleek wood shelves, cabinets, straw baskets, and glass jars filled with a well-curated selection of dry goods, pantry items, snacks, and more. Although the store is small, the diverse selection of goods makes for great browsing, almost like hunting for treasure. For foods to go, there’s a large counter on the left side of the store, behind which are freshly baked bread, prepared sandwiches, pastries, hot foods and salads, and an expresso bar. The house-made foods are thoughtful, seasonal, and always interesting. Several stews or soups in a line-up of Staub cocottes, salads in a glass display. On a recent visit, we enjoyed a vegetarian chili, succotash, mac & cheese, roasted peach salad, and heirloom tomato salad. Fresh ingredients and great flavors. In a recent expansion, they’ve cleared out the back section to include a small, dining nook with a rustic, wood-plank communal table and bar chairs, as an alternative to take-out. While not built for capacity, its a comfortable and cozy space to dine when quiet. Radish is a great little shop that does a bit of many things food-wise, with their own flair. Wonderful prepared foods, with a focus on seasonal ingredients, and always changing. Its the perfect place to stock up for a picnic at one of the nearby waterfront parks.

Radish is cute. Sometimes there are okay things to eat here. Usually, their dishes are good except for one or two weird ingredients. But in their quest to be interesting they have created the most disgusting orzo salad I have ever eaten, and with the taste of it lingering in my mouth I think the only responsible thing to do is write this review and never go back.

First off, I was very sad to see Pennylicks go. I thought it was really a loss for the neighborhood, made worse by the fact that it was replaced by a run-of-the-mill prepared food shop. Radish is fine, nothing special. Apart from their exceptional Chocolate Cherry Sea Salt cookies, this is a pretty unremarkable place. Bakeri, which is just a few blocks away, is 1000 times better in all the ways that count. Despite the convenience factor and the aforementioned lovely cookies, I have to say I’ll never set foot in there again. The reason being that the last time I was in there I had to stand around watching two employees play out a cutesy drama behind the food counter for about 10 minutes, wanting to order food but unable to do so because they literally were so wrapped up in their conversation that they ignored everything else around them. A brunette with bangs was chastising a tall blonde guy saying, «I thought you were going to quit by not showing up. What the fuck? Let me punch you– you have to at least let me punch you once.» And this went on, pointlessly, in full view of everyone, a foot away from me as I waited for one of them to become aware that they were in fact at work. But no– their heads remained firmly implanted in each other’s asses. They eventually wandered out from behind the food counter to behind the cash wrap, and continued their conversation there. I left, disgusted. I wish I could have at least punched them once.

Radish is cute as a button inside, with plenty of different prepared foods in rotation as well as desserts, drinks, and dry goods. It’s takeaway only, but a great place to stop in before heading home.

Stopped in randomly for lunch yesterday. I was so up for fresh veggies, and was absolutely delighted by their options. My friend and I had their red cabbage salad, sweet potato salad, tomato fennel soup. Fresh, seasonal veggies. I was just in heaven. The perfect lunch. And… the staff is incredible! I caught the chef as she ran out and overheard something about pickled mango and pork belly sandwiches??? She brought me a sample! Oh man oh man. So good. I think I could have hung out with the staff all day.

When I wanted a mid-shopping snack a couple days ago, and didn’t want to deal with the fuss of a restaurant, I figured I’d pop into Radish. I was beyond disappointed. I was about to leave because there didn’t seem at first glance to be anything substantial(ie with protein) and celiac-friendly. A very nice counter-gal suggested I try the bean and tuna salad, so I decided to go along with that. I was a bit shocked when it rang up to $ 6 for a tiny(TINY) ¼ cup of beans and tuna… I mean that’s what I buy when I can’t afford real groceries. I was even more shocked when I dug in, and the beans were undercooked, and relatively flavorless. I probably won’t be back.

I bought a $ 1 double chocolate chip sea salt cookie from a lovely girl with a cute accent. It was broken and half price. $ 1? double chocolate? salt? sold! verdict? YUM!!! soft! delectable! Cute small assortment of local goods — friendly fun staff. Look forward to returning and trying their food!

I had an incredible lobster roll here. Like others have said, very friendly staff. They also sell items of hand crafted food curiosity — like goat caramel — would be a great place to buy gifts.

I just ate the fine prepared foods of Radish for the first time this evening. The moment I walked through the door, I was allured by the authentic French barnyard inspired minimalist décor that reeks of incredible local food products. Other than being expensive(which is the sad reality of high quality, environmentally friendly comestibles), this place is paradise to my omnivorous sensibilities. As a vegetarian, I cannot tell you how delighted I was to see all of the options I had to choose from! I can’t even remember everything I ate because I devoured it so fast but the kale salad was by far the best I’ve ever eaten. The brussel sprout medley was yummy, as was the pasta. Beyond the amazing taste of this provender was how alive this food felt: pure ingredients feeding my soul! Nom nom nom. I want all the cooking secrets to the dishes at Radish(and the money to procure them)! If I could change one thing about the environment here, it would be the lack of warmth. With such nourishing food, one could only wish for a staff to match! Though based on the other reviews that seem to attest the contrary, it could’ve just been an off-night.

I love walking around little shops like this where every which way your eye moves, it lands on some previously unknown goodie. Artisanal treats abound! The staff is crazy friendly and nice and cut us up some caramel samples while we were in. Sold!

I was lured in by the egg cream and I think that was my first question — what is this mystical drink that you advertise? For those on the run that don’t know what it is it is drink that consists of chocolate syrup, milk, and seltzer. So it’s kind of like a chocolate milk soda and it’s good. I was on the run so I kind of just dashed in and out, hence the mere three stars however I’m sure if I stuck around it would probably be bumped up a notch.

Homemade ginger ale zinging with fresh-chopped ginger, for a summer refresher that will blast away any soreness from shouting at World Cup results. Chicken cutlet sandwich on sumptuous fresh baguette(baked locally at Bakeri, allegedly) was paired subtly with a horseradish mayo and greens. The orzo and potato salads were fresh and voluptuous. Friendly, helpful service. Yummmm. Radish is «curated,» and priced accordingly – but as a flavor snob, I find their wares worthy. And it seems from their take-away hot roasts that I can continue to feign cooking talent.

I had long anticipated this place, so I was happy that when I got back from a vacation a few weeks ago, it had already opened shop. To give an idea: in the last 2 weeks I’ve probably been to radish 6 times. I’ve become kind of addicted to their radish salad(tip: i’ve been adding a little bit of tahini to this which makes it even more amazing) and their quinoa, walking out with a quarter pound of each for under $ 6 total. It’s a perfect lunch/dinner that’s light, refreshing, healthy, and filling. The food and other offerings are really straight forward. All made to-go, and with a consciousness of origin and sustainability. It’s all fresh, and absent of that«soaking in oil» and packaging typical of most made-to-go places. The sparkling lavender lemonade is the perfect(non-alcoholic) summer drink. Even the utensils they offer are made of wood. Oh, it’s also REALLY cute, if that’s something that matters to you.
