I’ve seen this place go through many changes. They have rename and renovated this restaurant a few times, but they always serve halal food. Before halal carts become popular in the Bay Ridge area, I use to come here to get the gyros. No matter what they did to the restaurant, I kept coming here because it was conveniently located for me and I wanted a quick bite. I don’t know why I kept coming back. The meat they used in the gyros were always dry. I use to tell them, put extra white sauce on my gyro just to make it taste good. Probably won’t every step foot in that restaurant every again. Good thing for halal carts.

The BEST falafel sandwiches ever!!! This is not a classy sit down place… it’s more like a rund own fast food place. Hands down consistently the BEST falafel sandwiches and BESTFALAFELS in New York.

The gyros and other menu items are adequate, nothing more. You can get better from a street cart. In fact, at a cart they prepare the dishes with more care and attention. That’s really it – this place is sloppy; in every possible way. Especially, the service. The staff here(manager/owner included) are simply lousy. Surly, distracted, issues with language; and seems like they’re impatient that you’re even in their establishment; bothering them. Just atrocious temperament. It takes forever for them just to understand your order and get it correct. Oh and huge demerit for décor – hey guys can you turn down the florescent overhead lighting down just a NOTCH? I mean, are we in an operating surgery or what? Walk out of this place blinking; retinas burning.

I WILLNEVERRETURNTOTHISPLACE. I have eaten here a couple of times in the past, it always looked unclean but then again i strolled here around midnight or late at night. the food at the time i went was ok. however on my last visit a couple of days ago i strolled in at around 10 o’clock at night i ordered 2 gyros one lamb and chicken as the server was getting ready to give me my order i saw a dead black ant on the white sauce bottle next to where they have the other foods. I immediately cancelled my order, and i will never return to this place. It always looked unclean but i thought it was me now i know for sure that this place is not good.

If you have to ask, you don’t deserve it. The best gyro ever. Just go when it’s not busy.

I wouldn’t eat here again if it were the only place to eat in Bay Ridge. To begin, it took them 20 minutes to take our order. There were 5 people behind the counter just talking and hanging out while one person took orders one-at-a-time. Rather than multi-task or ask for help. He just turned around and did something else while my friend’s chicken was cooking on the grill. We had to get his attention and add the other orders in there. Finally after what seemed like an eternity, the food was put in boxes and he asked if we’d like hot sauce and white sauce. The white sauce bottle was clogged so he screwed the top off and DUMPED it into the food. I really mean that, he dumped it right in. A pool of white sauce with meat and rice. We asked for a little bit of hot sauce on two of the platters and he bathed it as well(making it near impossible to consume). The manager or owner walked by while the cook was cooking koofta and decided to just toss the skewer with anger on the side. No one acted really welcoming. We were dressed casually and did not cause a fuss. When we left, just as expected, not one person said have a good day or good bye. They were too busy talking. A big line had formed behind us by the time we left. When we got home, the rice was over spiced, the meat was charred and flavorless, and of course, the platters were soaking in sauce. I tossed my food away as did my friends. Please, do yourself a favor, stay away from this place. It may look nice on the inside and outside, but the service and food are below par, especially considering the other options in the area. Walk over to Al Safa(very nice people) or Tanoureen, or head down to 86th St and toss a coin when deciding between Karam’s or Kebab Factory or go to 5th Ave and check out one of the best Halal food stands in Brooklyn.

For now it is ok. Stopped by after seeing it open for about a week. I was checking out the rotisserie chicken. So that’s what I ordered. Rotisserie Chicken = good Cucumber Salad — decent Vinagrette Salad = v good(fresh basil) They don’t season the chicken, so you have to add some s&p. This seems like a Hala joint, so they only have lamb gyros or beef gyros. Half a chicken with rice or french fries and salad is $ 5.99. So the prices are decent. And I have to standby to make a better judgment on how good the food really is.
