Late night sandwich spot. Early morning sandwich spot. Anytime sandwich spot. This place has saved me a bunch of time at odd hours when I was in dire need of great sandwich. Portion sizes are tremendous and always fresh. If you order delivery they come quick and correct. The Drunken Whatever sandwich is my usual go to but they have a sandwich list that can help even the most indecisive person to get fed. Go soon

I’m a vegetarian that travels to BK once a year, generally staying in accommodations with a kitchen — so I’m always looking for a good market. Hana definitely has a solid selection of vegetarian and vegan items, including vegan sausages and other proteins. The staff that I interacted with were all very friendly. Grabbed a sandwich there as well called«Still A Virgin», so it was fun when the cook called the name of the sandwich and I responded. Good times. If you’ve been to Sunac and thought, «Yeah… I wouldn’t mind something a little less pricey with a friendlier staff.» Hop over to Hana.(:

I was a regular at Hana for a very long time. Their selections of sandwiches are excellent. The food is always fresh and always on point when it comes to taste. Why am I giving it one star? Recently I haven’t been able to leave my home, so I decided to ask them to deliver some sandwiches to my home. The food came quickly and very fresh. My issue was the delivery worker. He knocked on the door to my apartment. I went to answer the door and then he started banging on my door with his fist. It startled my family. When I opened the door, the threw the bag of sandwiches at me and stormed away.(I ordered with grubhub) Then he slammed my back exit door. He was disrespectful and vile. There are people out there who would kill for your job. You are always replaceable in the employment world. Remember that. Sorry but I am never coming back. I’ve never felt so disrespected in my life.

Best vegetarian/vegan sandwiches ever. I’ve been coming here for 4+ years. My meat eating friends also rave about their other sandwiches. Love this deli

The sandwiches here are dope. It took me a full 5 minutes to decide what to get because they’re all unusual combination of ingredients that sound amazing. You know what I mean? Like the one I got had fried egg, pastrami, avocado, and jalapeños. Maybe some other stuff too, but it was so good I’ve thought about it like 3 – 5 times a day since I got it last week. I don’t even think about my girlfriend that often. Oh yeah and they all have wacky and/or vulgar names. Notice that I talked about the quality of the food first? Yeah, because I’m an adult and there is absolutely no need to get worked up or offended about words someone deemed«inappropriate.» If you get offended by a sandwich then this is gonna be a long and dreadful life, dear Williamsburg hipsters. And no one reads your think pieces about the shit anyways so just drop it. Where was I, oh yeah, the only negative I can say about this place is the groceries are expensive as shit, man. I wanted a box of lucky charms and it was $ 6.99. No joke. Bro if I pay $ 6.99 for a box of lucky charms I better have the damn elf blowin me while I eat it. But I digress, if you’re looking for a sandwich that’ll alter your thinking for over a week, give this place a go.

Sandwiches here are pretty good. Guy doesn’t billshit, super quick. It’s really embarrassing to order some of the sandwiches though. Like sexy lady? Boy meets world? I just lost my verginity? C’mon son. There’s always a line of off the boat yuppies trying to shake off there small town blues and prove there really starting to mix with the local Spanish people and talking to the guy making there sandwich way more then he wants to be talked to. Always cracks me up, he doesn’t care dude.

great for vegetarian options, if you’re vegan be careful of what you order. they use GoVeggie cheese slices which are not vegan. Id ask about the veggie bacon too– may have egg ingredients.

The man making the sandwiches is a prick and temperamental asshole. We ordered 5 sandwiches and he only came out with 4. He then accused us of not ordering the last one and proceeded to give me a dirty ass look telling me that I need to wait til he’s done with the next batch of people before making mine. Fk you, man. I can get a better made sandwich just about anywhere. Enjoy the one dollar tip I should’ve never given you. You look like you need it.

I’ve been on the search for the perfect bodega Italian sandwich, and I haven’t found it yet. But this place comes close. On a recent search for the best bodegas, I found out this place is just a few blocks from my apartment. I went for lunch one day and ordered the Godfather 3, which is essentially an Italian hoagie(with no tomato). Overall, their selection for sandwiches was impressive — very varied and diverse with fun names. I’m impressed the sandwich maker can remember what goes on each sandwich. The bread was soft with just enough chew. The other ingredients were fine, although some of the provolone cheese had hard edges. My main complaint with the sandwich was that it was overstuffed with meat. It overwhelmed some other flavors and made it difficult to take a uniform bite. But if the amount of meat were cut in half(hopefully, with a small dip in the $ 9 price), it would be a much better sandwich. Definitely willing to try this place again, maybe with some more specific instructions about my preference.

Shrek with grilled tofu(instead of breaded and fried cutlet). Vegans and omnivores both love. Try it and you won’t regret it. Depending on who makes it it can be good or excellent. I still haven’t figured out why this is…

Let me tell you, this is the best sandwich spot I’ve ever been to in my entire life. Everything I tried here was absolutely incredible. I ordered the«Munch on My Box» and«MILF Revenge». Both were complete all-stars. Albert made our sandwiches and he’s sooooo talented. I’ll make sure to stop by heRe every time I’m in NY. Best food you can have late night. You’re welcome.

The spot for late night sandwiches in the area. Service is consistently great and product is consistently fresh(remember to tip your sandwich guy!) Only knock would be hot sandwiches tend to taste very similar(delicious, but similar) due to that magical flattop. If you’re sober enough to taste anything, stick to the cold sandwiches, and get a wrap. Heros are an appropriate vehicle for huge cheesesteaks or Italian cold cuts. Anything subtler, or to save some carbs for chips or pasta, grab the wrap.

With the rise of gourmet/overpriced/fusion/farm-to-table/fancy pants sandwich shops, I was very pleasantly surprised to see a deli nearby the Lorimer stop that served belly-stuffing sandwiches at totally reasonable prices. Nothing else is remarkable about Hana Food so the focus is definitely on the sandwiches with crazy names and yes, they are all quiet delicious. I loved their own rendition of the Cuban and Monkey Ass is kickass, but I can do without the ranch(the sun-dried tomatoes added enough savory/salty flavor). Can’t wait to go back and try more.

Maybe it’s my fault for buying mixed greens at a bodega, but I just found a razorblade in my salad.(It was packaged by them, not a distributor.) Thanks Hana Food! Update: Got some store credit out of it. But still, GROSS.

«Wacky names for sandwiches» I stopped here after a late night of drinking in Williamsburg and I was pleasantly surprised(it was not the booze talking). This place is a cross between a bodega and small grocery store. I got the«Kayne Interrupt«(Taylor Swift, Who?) and the sandwich was surprisingly good. The sandwiches are pretty standard in terms of ingredients but the wacky names like«monkeyass’» «crazy bitch,» and«my girlfriend is a whore» gives the sandwiches that extra«charm» or «flavor». Who came up with these names anyway. This place is perfect for getting a snack before waiting for the G train, the unicorn line of the mta.

Go for the sandwiches. Return for the sandwiches. Find yourself craving said sandwiches at any hour of the day or night and again go back for the sandwiches! At times you can end up waiting a while, but you won’t be sorry. The fact that you can go in at 4AM on your way back from bar-crawling and eat a bag of chips while you wait for your sandwich to be made is just an added bonus to the beautiful, delicious, perfectly-crafted sandwich that awaits you. Vegan and vegetarian friendly, too, if that’s important to you!

Hana is fuggin awesome. Amazing sandwiches, an absurdly large selection of them, everything else that a bodega would have, as well, and all delivered to in the blink of an eye. The sandwiches really are amazing, by the way, and my god, what a selection of them they have. Literally the ONLY reason that I give Hana 4 stars instead of 5 is due to ONE worker there(the old guy that answers the phone late nights on weekdays) he is just so mean and angry and unwilling to do ANYTHING for the customer when calling in for delivery… «oh, do you have this kind of ice cream in stock that you often do?» «look, buddy, I don’t know, I’m not over there, probably not»). and then to top it all off… he doesn’t even write down any specific instructions for you… allergic to, well, anything that could be on your sandwiche? I’d be very hesitant to order through him. I don’t think he even listens when you order… one time I ordered Orange Juice WITH extra pulp? I know what you’re thinking… I probably got sent orange juice with NO pulp. NOPE… I got sent a giant package of individually sliced cheddar cheese. I’m still baffled by that one. ALL of the other employees there are absolutely wonderful. I would have absolutely given the place 5 stars… it’s ONLY the grumpy old man who seems to resent getting business that made me have to pull it down to a four. other than that, the place is an amazing spot to order up some sandwiches at an time of night or day(it’s a 24⁄7 joint) and I

Deli– The stuff that makes you want to scurry to your cave and actively try to breath between bites. There are more options than on the menu. A lot more. I mostly get the ‘munch on my box’ with grilled chicken instead of turkey. Always fresh and not cross-contaminated…it’s one of the only deli’s i have successfully gotten an egg and cheese at without tasting bacon fat. they carry ‘real coconut water’ too, which is the only type i like and harder to find in Williamsburg than you’d think. Great snack selection too.

Among the sandwich choices are«My Girlfriend is a Whore» and«Crazy Bitch.»(Not to mention«Sorry Ladies»… I’m not sure what that even means). I asked the person working the register who named the sandwiches. He said, «All of us.» I said, «Well, they’re fucking offensive.» He said, «A nice person wouldn’t use that language.» I said, «I’m sorry. I apologize for my language.» Who knew that an establishment that had«bitch» and«whore» on their menu would be offended by the f-word? He then changed his story, «The customers name the sandwiches.» «Sir,» I said, «your menu is offensive.» He told me, «You choose to take it that way… you should have more respect for yourself.» So, if you respect yourself, maybe don’t give this establishment your money.

After a late nite of partying, drinking and dancing we were bound to be hungry and at 230am your options are pretty slim. I settled for a sandwich at a deli. So I thought. Settling I did not! The Drunk Asshole sandwich was one of the best ever! Bacon, avocado, chicken and a whole bunch of other yummy goodness I cant remember. The deli itself has a lot of hard to find items like Zapps chips. I found my new Williamsburg late nite food spot.
