Despite its posted hours, this pharmacy is never ever open. Case in point, they are supposed to be open until 7pm tonight. I went at 5:30pm and they were already shut. Go elsewhere.

Heard about this place from a friend. The pharmacist goes above and beyond the call of duty. She is knowledgeable and will help you in any way she can. Literally. I went there for a foot problem and she walked me through everything I needed to do to take care of my issue. Everything. I was with her for an hour!
Don’t let the empty shelves or temporary closings fool you. They are going through a transitional period, but they are getting started and doing what they can in the meantime. I will never go anywhere else if I can help it. It’s rare to find a pharmacy with so much heart.

I don’t really have an «Experience» of this place since Unilocal said they were open from 10 – 6 on Saturdays, but they were closed when I got there at 12pm. It was raining, so I guess they decided not to open. I mean, I get it. It sucks working on a rainy day, so stay in bed.

I went here to get my vision test done to renew my driver’s license. The girl working there was super friendly and helpful. They were able to upload the information very quickly and I was out of there in just a few minutes. And it only cost $ 10, unlike some other places that charge $ 50! If this drug store was closer to where I live, I would definitely make it my drug store of choice.

I’ve recently moved to the area and was in Heights Apothecary a week before Christmas. Lisa is an absolute angel, SO helpful, SO kind and goes above and beyond what she can do to help everyone and not because she was filled with the Christmas spirit ~ that sweet heart knows no season nor any bounds. Prices are UNBELIEVABLY reasonable. The gentleman behind the counter is nice in the extreme. This is a WIN-​WIN pharmacy, people! Though my health is good, it is kept that way via several medications prescribed to me. So finding Heights Apothecary was, to me, akin to hitting the lottery or scoring a touchdown. There are a very FEW places in this city this good. Patronize this lovely establishment and mention what you read here, from all of us, who absolutely love this privately owned, Mom and Pop, dyed-​in-​the-​wool, triple distilled, old fashioned FIVE STAR pharmacy.

I needed to fill a prescription, and by default went to Duane Reade to see how much it would be. They quoted me a whopping $ 98! I felt I wasn’t going to be able to get the medication I needed. I was in the area, and looked up pharmacies on my phone… it was by total luck that I found Heights Apothecary. I called them, they said to come by, and the lady took one look at my pensive face and said, «It’ll be $ 40.»
I am so grateful to Lisa and the staff at Heights Apothecary for being super kind, informative, and a miracle. Thank you!!!

Heights Apothecary has been bought over by new owners since my last review. Michael is no longer there.
There have been a couple of hiccups, and I’m hoping this is just a transition phase for them. My concern is that in particular one of the two girls (dirty blonde) they have at the back, is not really listening to what needs to happen and is just rushing through things. The brunette is a lot more helpful.
Luckily they kept the same front register guy. They’re lucky they did, because he seems to be the one keeping things together.
