In God We Trust

One of my favorite womenswear boutiques. I love the aesthetic, and I like the fact that it’s a smaller, carefully curated collection. I’m not a fan of huge chain shopping or being overwhelmed by 30 types of mediocre items. I’d far rather choose from three, high quality types of items and that’s the type of experience IGWT offers. Every time I buy something from them I wear it to pieces. Other reviewers have noted it’s pricey but it’s pricey for a reason — designed and handmade right here in New York. You pay for a nice aesthetic and for quality. It ain’t Forever 21, people.
Keep on doing what you’re doing, IGWT!

I love Shana’s style and the fact that she now has three amazing stores with her designs. I’ve visited the Soho location often and people have been nothing but nice. I walked into this location, finally being able to come out in the real world to touch what I’ve only seen online and didn’t like the vibe I got at all.
The store was busy when I walked in. I was browsing about. I saw that other people were being approached and helped, but not me. I walked around some more. I wanted to try a hat on, but thought against it. I browsed the jewelry over and over again. I went through the racks while a «busy» salesperson two racks away moved clothes around (he wasn’t busy). I walked out.
I know this is Williamsburg and I’m supposed to kind of be invisible (fyi, I really hate Williamsburg. I do. I’m really trying not to.) But where is the customer service manual? Having done retail before (and being a top seller) it really doesn’t take much. Now I remember why I shop online.

The good:
Really nice clothing. Really nice jewelry. Extremely nice staff (we’ve come multiple times to return things, get gift certificates, and shop).
The bad:
Small inventory. Really, really expensive. Most things tend to be on sale, but 50% off of $ 400 is still $ 200. Ouch. I’m almost afraid to wear my new dress but it’s so pretty and so silky. But we all know I’m a mess and I wear everything I eat, and it’s just an accident waiting to happen. For now it will just sit in my closet, looking pretty all by its lonesome.

I absolutely loved their inventory – I might have even purchased something if their sizes didn’t end at a very narrow size 8. I understand some clothing brands not being able to offer «plus sizes» but ending your sizes at an 8?! I am actually a very average «true» size 8. I think it’s ridiculous to be so narrow in sizing offers. I’m sure I could fit into some other clothes, but my curvy bum was interested in some lovely shorts. Oh, well, I shall take my business elsewhere!

I stumbled upon this boutique and fell in love with the merchandise as well as the staff. I immediately felt welcome and free to shop without an over eager sales associate following me around. Plus the merchandise is quirky and fair priced.

IGWT, is amazing they have lovely items. Lovely items, in which I cannot afford.
I left with two postcards and matches though.
