Gone Fishing 2 burrito should be GONE off the menu. So bland. Half the ingredients were missing and it taste just like tuna and rice. Don’t get excited to see«jerk chicken» or «jerk tilapia.» No jerk sauce/seasoning whatsoever. Try building your own burrito instead of ordering one off the menu. It’s cheaper and if you order it off the menu then they end up asking what you want in it anyways Not much seating space unless you plan to eat alone. There’s a long bench and a wobbly single person table that may throw your beverage off the table if you let it go too fast

Poor service, over dressed salad, and lettuce that’s bruised and old. Plus the free cup of island waters BS just ask.

When it comes to healthy eating options, they practically do not exist along Nostrand Avenue. I was starved and trying to decide what to eat for dinner when I stumbled upon this establishment. I loved the prices and diverse menu. I ordered the island jerk chicken salad(chicken, tossed aalad, cranberries, peppers, added guacamole for an extra .50 and minus the cheddar cheese). They forgot the croutons, which made me a little upset but I was still satisfied nonetheless. My total was $ 8.70. It’s a small business, limited seating, with an island — themed décor and friendly staff.

I truly enjoyed this salad. I had a twist on the Ceasar salad because I added walnuts and cranberries to mines and it was awesome. Every piece of lettuce had salad dressing on it because they mix it before putting it in your bowl which I love. I hate to eat a salad that is dry. The staff was friendly and there is street parking nearby. I’ll come back again!

Island Salad provided me with the blandest burrito I’ve ever had: Gone Fishing Too Burrito Romaine(barely), Island Rice(white rice), tuna(canned), sweet and spicy shrimp(defrosted shrimp), green olives(none), mixed peppers, Parmesan cheese(where?), and Island ranch dressing(which I did ask them to leave off and they did, so credit for paying attention to the order if not the ingredients). Supposedly came with mango salsa but I didn’t receive that either. I won’t be back or order from them again.

The service here sucks big time something is wrong when they list items on menu then for 3 days they don’t have This means the owners haven’t paid their suppliers.

I loved this place, when I first saw it opening by my house. But over time they’ve been open, for business, they went downhill, they have very poor customer service, it takes for ever to get a salad, even with 1 or two customers ahead of me. Don’t bother doing delivery, they got my order wrong twice. Get it together island salad.

I love this place and being able to make my own salad, and the prices are better then Chop’t and Just Salad. The only issue is that they are so incredible slow! Like they are back on the islands or something. Other than that, I would eat here every day if I could afford it and if I had lots of time to waste.

I’m a fan of this healthy option close to home that delivers as well. I opted for takeout however and enjoyed a pleasant lunch. I had one of the specialty salads which was light and filling but next time I think I’ll go the«build your own» route. I also had the island tropical lemonade which was so dang good. I guess technically it should be healthy but it was so sweet that I may have just gotten me a touch of diabetes. The service was very pleasant and patient while I took forever to place my order.

Salad is pretty good. Good service. Young lady making my salad drowned my salad in dressing. NOBUENO! I went to tell her light on the dressing and too late my salad was already swimming it in. Most salad bars I go to ask you how much of to tell them when to stop. Other than that pretty good. I give it 3.5 stars

The customer service is very poor. This is the 4th time Ive walked in there, no greeting, ignored and then I had to ask for help. This last time the guy I told I didnt order as yet told a non English speaking man to assist me but he didnt hear him. The two other ladies did nothing to make matters worse there was only one other customer ahead of me… but 4 or 5 workers. I walked out without a salad

The salads are great(even though I wish they would little easy on the dressing). The reason I m giving it a 3 star because the only thing I love is the salad. The burrito is just too big and messy to eat. The wraps doesn’t have much flAvor. They could do better

I really want to love this place since I am so excited that they are offering healthy options in neighborhoods that lack healthy food(Bed-Stuy, Harlem, etc), but I just can’t get excited about the meals I’ve had here. I really appreciate that they offer vegan and vegetarian options but I tried two of their signature salads and one of their wraps, and all were really bland. The ingredients were fresh, they just had no flavor and the dressings didn’t help much.

Island salad is a great place for a quick and healthy lunch. They have so many great options from different types of freshly made drinks, fresh salads, and island burritos. I really appreciate them because the only thing to eat around here is Chinese food or fast food. The service is really friendly here and you feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door. I came here and they said«good afternoon sir how are you» Not the usual glare I get when I walk into these stores around here. You can also customize your salad and your burrito to your own specifications so that’s a bonus as well. I’m glad I discovered this place. The food is good but they are a little on the expensive side for this neighborhood but you get what you pay for.

My salad was beyond amazing. It left me unable to finish the last two bites. The drink I has was yummy, but not healthy whatsoever. The employees were friendly. The manager? A little too friendly. I keep saying I’ll go back, but I haven’t been perhaps $ 15 for a salad and beverage I can make at home for half the cost is the reason. You should try it nonetheless… oh and GREAT music!

Review: for the bed STUY location on Fulton street. Wait time… Moderate even when empty(this isn’t a good thing) Customer service: quite frankly, there was one cashier and one salad maker, the salad maker had a nasty attitude, didn’t even bother to greet me or even say next after she was done with the gentlemen in front of me. The only reason why I got a clue it was my turn is because she grabbed an empty salad container and started to stare at me… I was immediately turned off, as I haven’t been here since they first opened when customer service was at its prime. Ingredients: ingredients are fresh, there’s no way that I can deny that. The pricing for these Ingredients has changed majorly since I first came to this establishment. When I first used to come to island salad(still only for salads) you could get any of the base salad ingredients as many as you wanted within the«create you’re own» which was very appealing as the create your own starts at $ 4.95, now you may choose only 4 of these«base» Ingredients like croutons, cheddar cheese, beans, corn, basically the cheapest ingredients in the house, no proteins. Proteins aren’t even offered as one of the four which I think is a little disgusting. 250 extra for tuna? You honestly had someone type that up and largely post that on a menu for all to see? Ill pass… I got chicken(teriyaki) I think it was $ 1.50 extra, corn salsa, crunchy noodles, and apples All I know Is I walked out with a 4 base ingredient 1– teriyaki that I tasted NO flavor on. When I actually found the chicken in my bowl for $ 8, needless to say, no I won’t be returning because that is highway robbery. I’m all for supporting local businesses but don’t take advantage of me, and while doing it have people with nasty attitudes working there. The craziest thing is when you have customer service that is so above and beyond people don’t even mind so much paying a little extra when they’re attempting to have that healthy lunch, I imagine business slowed with this move or this move came because fresh ingredients only last but so long and have to be discarded but … I’m appalled. After paying that much for a salad I didn’t even want anything to drink.
