I have been training here for two years after a long hiatus. Jikishinkan was recommended to me by a friend who practiced here and commented on the community behind the organization. The instructors and students provide an open and engaging environment as well as a challenging practice suitable for all skill levels.

Once I decided to practice Aikido, I started looking for the right place for me. I had no martial art background or prior experience. I felt generally intimidated every time I checked out a dojo until I visited this one. Once I entered this place, I was greeted by the Sensei who offered humble and kind answers to all my questions and welcomed me to watch the class that was about to start. Once the class started, it took me no more than five minutes to know that this was the place for me. The instructions were clear and to the point. There was a great level of care for the beginners attending that class(one of the things that concerned me the most) and every one seemed to enjoy their time. All felt right. Signing up was a breeze and I’ve been a member for three years now. I totally recommend this Dojo because of its knowledgeable, friendly, and respectful staff and the wonderful environment they create.

I’ve been training at Jikishinkan Aikido Dojo since 2005. It has a friendly, focused student base, and is a well-respected environment. It provides a solid platform for learning this beautiful and effective martial art.
