Colorful, whimsical, fun and unaccountably moving — that’s how I’d describe Jonathan’s art. He is also a neighborhood presence, and anyone who is anyone in Park Slope owns a Blum print, painting or portrait. I even heard from a cousin in the Midwest that he painted a lovely picture of her dog from a photograph. This art is so accessible you might be tempted to write it off as frivolous, but it’s not. It has depth. It’s real art that you can be proud to own. Stop in and say hi, or better yet, make an appointment to look around. The storefront location is a great place to hang out and watch how the artist works. Good wishes, Jonathan! Beth
