I’ve been here one time so far, and I’d definitely go back. The owner Nancy runs the store, and she is so friendly and helpful. I think we chatted about Ecuador(where she is from), Brooklyn, and South America in general for about a half hour after I bought a CD, and I was sad to go(if I hadn’t had to get to work, I think I would have ended up staying for hours.) She has a huge selection of Spanish CDs, books, and various sports items and clothing, as well as accessories like bracelets. When I was buying my CD, all I had to go on was«I love Venezuelan music» and she helped me find something good, and actually played part of it for me so I would know if I liked it or not. Also, she told me to come back sometime and she’d help me practice my Spanish(I used to be fluent but I’m now a little rusty and trying to refresh it.) The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because I wished the store carried more popular Venezuelan music, which seems impossible to get in NYC(it didn’t even have Chino y Nacho, who I know have a decent US following and are hugely popular throughout the Spanish-speaking world, even outside of South America.) All in all it’s a heck of a trek out into Brooklyn if you’re coming from Manhattan(I live in East Harlem) but it’s definitely worth making.
