Loved my salmon tartine & coffee here. The cereal bread was SOGOOD. Good service. Good wifi. Overall, a solid place for a quick bite if you’re in the area.

I used to live right down the street from this place. I moved to Jersey less than a week ago and I already desperately miss my morning trips to l’imprimerie. The espresso is probably the best you’ll ever have. The baked goods are unequivocally the best you’ll ever have. I will absolutely be making the hour long trip back(1 bus, 2 trains) for Gus’ cinnamon rolls

Baby(bakeries), I love ya, I may end up coming here all day long. Location: Get off Morgan Ave(L line) and take a left. you will see this place. Don’t be scare if you are the first time here. It’s a great place for some interesting food experience. Several weeks ago, I was lucky enough to try MIXTAPE’s coffee, which is very purely sophisticated. But this place is even better — i mean their bakeries. not coffee tho. Let ‘s start with their hot staff who works here. This dude who has a british or Australian accent is so cute! NVM I had their cinnamon roll — the best I have ever had. It’s not huge. Although it looks like there’s tons of sugar in it, it is but it doesnt feel /taste this way! The texture is abusultely good I wished I could be there all day long and have the calories to eat all their bakeries. And the bakeries are not expensive at all! The only complain I have is their coffee — bland… ugh. They have to really work on the cold brew technique dude! still a 5 –star experience

This place is as authentic as they come as far as French goes. I’ve had pain au chocolate and it was just like in Paris. The expresso is superb and even sold in little French cups… just like Paris:) They sell baguettes and they’re the best in the area. Their sandwiches are a little pricey for as light as they are, but I let that slide because I know I’m getting good quality. They raise their own bees to make their own honey that you can buy by the jar too. The guys who work here are always friendly!

$ 7 for a croissant and baguette? I’d rather save all that money and take a trip to Paris. Baguette was below average and croissant was decent but nothing special to make me come back, even though it’s in my hood– especially after the prices. Take a trip to Eric Kayser instead(they are all over NYC) and get yourself the best baguette and pastries outside of Paris.

OHGODHAVEMERCY!!! You have walked into croissant heaven! I chose to walk into this place this morning while waiting on my mom to get into my car this morning. I got a warm ham and cheese, and also chocolate and almond croissants. I’ve eaten croissants for many years but it was amazing to pick one up and it felt so light and airy and the flavor was just outstanding. The staff is very friendly and the place is very nice and welcoming. Don’t hesitate — get eating!

I just adore this place, Gus, and the delicious baked goods; from the interesting jalapeño and chocolate croissants I love to «authentic“classic French pastries, to all their fresh baked breads of perfection, this place really does it right! Gluten heaven! On my day off from the coffeeshop, I love to go here and enjoy a Parlor Coffee americano and read one of his many Bön Appetit magazines :)

I just found heaven and It’s on Myrtle Ave. I got a baguette and an almond croissant to-go. When I got home the inside of the bread still felt warm. How is that possible? The crispy outside is contrasted by the light and soft center. It was so delicious. I then took a bite of the almond croissant and lost my ability to speak! How could something be so delicious? This place is a definite must-try!

A location which might initially strike one as strange, directly underneath the M line at the Myrtle-Wyckoff stop, and looking proudly out at a fast-food restaurant I now know exists, White Castle. The coffee is rich and full-bodied – not for the faint of heart. Literally, I would probably not drink this stuff if I had a weak heart. But it tastes excellent, and gets my day trending in the right direction. Typically, I just stick to a cup of black coffee, though occasionally I’ll indulge with a piece of quiche, and it’s the best in Brooklyn. Top-notch establishment; glad to have this baby close by. Cheers!(Coffee-style.)

I loved the pastries. Im a pastry chef and these are top notch delicacies. The pastries are smaller than what you would get in most places but the flavor/fat balance is purrrfect! I dont live in the neighborhood so this will be a once in a while treat for me. If you can swing it go on weekends for those deeelish cinnamon rolls made with puff pastry.

Came here 2 weeks ago for a quick bite before I had to go to work in the morning. Looks like they make everything in house, which is pretty impressive to me. You can see the baking equipment from the main dining area as well(also impressive to me, if you couldn’t surmise that from what I had just mentioned). I had their coffee and a cheese and herb pastry wheel. The latter was really flavorful: tasty, flaky, and buttery. Service was a little on the slow and blasé side, hence the 4 stars and not the full 5 stars. Good place to relax and get some work done, though. Oh, and their offerings rotate every day, so it’s probably well worth visiting multiple times.

There’s crumbs on my lips, a knife in my hand. My belly is filled with sourdough and shame. I’ve just eaten half of M. Gus’s 7×10 sourdough loaf in less than an hour, and I feel alive. It started out as just a nibble — a slice off the end, just a taste. The crunch of the crust was ferocious, buttery, shattering. I can chew it all day long. The bread on the inside is delicately fragrant, springy, and air-pocketed. I’m from San Francisco, land of sourdough, and this brings me right back. This is a bread that is GOOD bread. It gives you vitality. It deserves sonnets. A thinnest wedge of sourdough pairs well with jams. A thick slice is the perfect pedestal for an open-face sardine sandwich. A whisper of crust dipped in olive oil sends me reeling. Afterwards, I highly recommend dumping the crumbs collected on the cutting board into a bowl and eating them morsel by morsel, using your fingers. Such a divine bread cannot go to waste. The staff are friendly and well-informed about their product; the bakery/café space itself is big, bright, and well-designed. I can imagine the coffee is good as well. My only regret(and hence the 4-star rating) is that it isn’t more affordable. I understand that the ingredients and skill constituting this fabulous bread justifies a higher price, but bread is a staple that should be enjoyed by all. It’s a shame that this bread can’t be, especially in a neighborhood like Bushwick. It prevents the space from really becoming part of the community. Now I’m all sentimental. I think I’ll eat some more bread and feel better.

There something heavenly about fresh baked bread. I am one of those people that could never be on Atkins Diet… I love bread way toooo much! And I have found one of the best bread bakeries in NYC! And trust me, I know bread, buy a lot of bread and know the difference in quality. The bread here has the perfect outer crust and the soft inside. L’imprimerie is truly a gift to the Bushwick neighborhood. I make a trek to this coffee shop, across from my other fave coffee spot Mixtape. Where these two coffee shops don’t compete is that this one sells incredible bread and pastries. There’s also cozy and warm seating during the cooler seasons. The café is inviting. The name in French means print shop and they have a gigantic vintage printing machine displayed as décor in the shop. The machine is an ode to the building hosting a printing shop for many years prior. I came here one day for my pistachio croissant, Parlor americano coffee, a loaf of the«Pain Aux Cereales» bread for home and a little spot to do some sewing on my Bowie brooch. There was some sort of promo going on so the door was left open. A bit chilly for the door to be wide opened. And then I noticed a tall bearded French fellow walking to meet some friends who also speak French. The beard I recognized right away! It is only the face of the shop, stamped on every bag and cup that exists the shop, Monsieur Gus. I could feel the passion that the owner Gus who loves the shop and loves baking bread. Hence the little window by the treats showing a sneak peak into the bakery. I highly recommend coming here and trust me, you won’t regret it. On the contrary you might get addicted and get a weekly loaf. My favorites are«Pain Aux Cereales» and«Levain» the sourdough that takes two days to develop! And by the way, their instagram will have you drooling Insta: limprimerie !

Freshly baked bread, cakes, & pastries daily! + good coffee :) It’s been a while since I’ve written a full review, but I feel I owe it to this place because I love it sooo much! It’s a hop & a skip away from my apt, & one of my top favorite things about living here. They make everything in-house — including granola, a plethora of amazing artisan breads, cakes like lemon poppy & orange almond & olive oil bundt, croissants(the chocolate almond one is one of the best I’ve ever had!), sea salt chocolate chip cookies, soups & various tartines … freshly prepared everyday! All of their ingredients are top notch quality. They brew Parlor Coffee(Brooklyn based) & use a top quality dairy brand(I forget what creamery it is). It’s a true gem in Ridgewood/Bushwick & one of my favorite cafes/bakeries in NY overall. I think the chef/baker is a Frenchman and he’s really mastered the art of bread baking and pastry! One of my favorite places to come enjoy a cuppa coffee(you get 1 free refill, too!) with a croissant, quiche, or tartine, while reading the New Yorker or browsing a cookbook(they have a great selection of reading material available, + board games if you’re into that :) Super clean & cozy, free [unlimited] wifi, comfy seating, great music, plenty of outlets & a restroom(!!!) Really, what more could you ask for, especially in NY? Two thumbs way up! :D

What a gem! Incredibly friendly and helpful staff — I look forward to going in and talking to them just as much as I look forward to sampling their latest pastries and breads. They’ve created a really great, relaxed atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to stop in and catch up with a friend. Pro tip: Try the sinful cinnamon rolls next time you’re there!

Delicious pastries, breads, and quiche all baked and prepared in-house! L’imprimerie is an extremely rare find. Feet from the Myrtle-Wyckoff train station, this bakery and coffee shop is a true trip to France tucked under the Brooklyn train trestle. The café has lots of seating(and a backyard that’s still under construction). The staff is very friendly and happy to describe any of their carby goodies. We’ve tried the almond croissant, the almond & chocolate croissant, the ham & cheese quiche, the cheese & rosemary pinwheel and the iced coffee. Everything was excellent! The croissants are the best I’ve had since visiting France and Montréal. So flaky, buttery, and the almond filling is so flavorful. You must try these. Rusty thinks that they’re a bit too pricy($ 4.50 each), but the fact that they’re so delicious, fresh and baked on the premises makes it an easy sell in my book. The quiche is good, not too salty. Ask them to heat it up for you. The pinwheel was extremely flaky and the rosemary added an almost refreshing for taste. I feel like these are perfect for a summer picnic! The yogurt with granola and the salmon avocado tartine make a light, refreshing, and affordable breakfast or lunch. Terrific iced dirty chais. The iced coffee is flavorful and strong, no sugar or milk needed. Yes, they take credit cards now. Yes, they’re a little bit pricier than other cafes in the ‘hood. Yes, they’re totally worth every penny. Yes, this is my new favorite place for carbs. I have a feeling that this place is going to get outrageously popular very soon. Check it out before it has lines stretching around the corner! Or just stop in for some hearty raisin and walnut bread to enjoy at home.
