Beyond unprofessional … I would NEVER use these guys for my wedding. WORST FLORIST IN BROOKLYN.

This is my neighborhood go-​to florist. Jimmy is very happy when I come in to make up a beautiful bouquet of roses with not too much baby’s breath, and he loves hearing the stories of the dates these flowers are for. He’s got a very animated way about him, reminding me of the old school Brooklyn guys I grew up with. He’s the last of a generation, sadly, as many of us have moved on. Anytime I’ve come into June to have a bouquet made, it’s been done with the utmost attention to detail, and in a prompt manner. Hopefully, I’ll be in to see Jimmy again one of these days soon.

In August, 2015 my wife and I placed an order for linens with Jimmy, the Owner of June Florist. We decided the next day to cancel our order and found out the hard and painful way that we lost our deposit. At first, Jimmy ensured us upon cancelling that we would receive a full refund check from his linen vendor. After 3 months of calling and being told repeatedly that the refund check is in the mail so to speak, we never received it.
More recently, after several calls and a couple visits to the florist shop Jimmy is now saying that the linen company kept all of our deposit due to a restock fee. Feeling that this story did not sound right I insisted that Jimmy provide me with the vendor’s contact details so they can explain their refund policy. I contacted the well-​known linen company based out of Chicago which was very professional in dealing with my complaint. The linen company researched their orders and found no record of my order for linens from June Florist.
After explaining the situation to the linen company they took upon themselves to contact Jimmy by phone and email to try and resolve my complaint but they did not get anywhere either. Jimmy now hangs up on me when I call to request my refund. My wife and I were misled, lied to, and cheated out of our money by June Florist.

During our initial consultation, I was really excited that we would get exactly what we wanted. I sent a picture from my Pinterest board and they nailed it. Jimmy, talked us into getting some seasonal additions (examples dahlias instead of peonies) and upgrading to black magic roses that would be more deep wine than a regular red rose. We were told that I would need to come in the week of the wedding to make sure everything was in order and it was too my liking.
Since our wedding was in PA we were planning on leaving Wednesday to for the venue. I called several times on Sunday to see if I could come on Monday to check the order. After getting brushed off several times we agreed to coming on Tuesday since the whole delivery was to be coming in then. My husband went after work from midtown to make sure everything was in order to find no flowers were there! After being upset about taking the long trip for nothing, he was assured a mock up would be made Wednesday for us to approve before the big day. Wednesday came… Crickets. Finally Angelo heard from them on Thursday at 4pm (while we were getting ready to go to our rehearsal dinner) and the arrangement looked nothing like the original! We were assured the roses were black magic but clearly were just red. I also wanted my arrangements to be small enough so that people could see one another from across the table.
On the day of the wedding, the archway was well done but the team had to wing it since we didn’t get to talk prior to the wedding about what it was going to look like. The bouquets were lovely but unfortunately the leaves were droopy before the ceremony even started. The centerpieces didn’t look much like the original mock up we discussed, having no black magic roses in them whatsoever and the leaves drooping along the sides. Also, the centerpieces a were so large that people couldn’t see the person across the table from them at all.
My problem is this all could’ve been avoided and we would’ve been satisfied if we were given a little more care in the preparation instead of waiting till the last minute and brushing us aside. And if we are paying for something, please give it to us!

June florists did a great job for my wedding in October!!! Was so happy with how everything turned out! We tried to have a smaller wedding, they were able to work in our price range and gave us everything you would expect in a large wedding. My bouquet, and two smaller bridesmaids, my husbands and all the men’s buttonirs (don’t know how to spell that, clearly) centerpieces we required small enough to fit tons of food yet they were beautiful! They helped set up our homemade arch. And thanks to June florists it was beautiful and looked like a million bucks! They delivered our bouquets to my mothers house in Staten Island and the rest to our venue in nj… Was a great experience overall. Don’t let the Brooklyn attitude or rush vibe scare you away, they are just busy but do a great job!

For the freshest flowers including hard to get ones… And beautiful arrangements, I’ve been using June Florist for all special occasions and they have been absolutely wonderful. Always on time, always impressive and always competitive on price. Thanks June for another gorgeous job.

The owner messaged me on Unilocal calling me «Ellen» (my name is Elein as so clearly stated in my Unilocal profile) asking me to take down my negative review since they never conducted a transaction with me. I replied to the owner by asking her to check her records for a transaction with Elein not «Ellen», along with the name of the staff I spoke to on the phone (James), and the phone number of their driver that brought my flowers at 9:30pm (that I won’t divulge for privacy of the driver). The nerve.
A month later, no refund as was promised by James. I had to file a dispute with my credit card company.

A bit disappointed. I called to place a phone delivery and the guy on the phone put me on hold several times each time answering «who’s this?» And then told me to call and order in an hour because they’re working on something else. What great customer service.

Although Jimmy did a nice job for my daughters wedding years ago times have changed, and so has his quality. With my younger daughters wedding coming up, the venue stated there is only one florist not allowed on his premise, June. I was shocked. Unfortunately we had a death in the family. I was told a fruit basket would be delivered Wed. before noon. The next day with a house full of people my son in law finds a fruit basket left on my porch. People were in and out all day. There was not more that 10 minutes that someone was not on the porch. The appearance was beautiful, but that beauty was only skin deep. It contained a sopressata (Italian dry sausage) that we though was very nice, until we noticed it was green molded. We were now cautious about this fruit basket. Examination of the expiration dates of the packages of Italian cookies showed that one was about to expire in 3 days, and the others at the end of the month. Having had dealing with Jimmy in the past we called, giving him the benefit of the doubt (he don’t sell food, so the basket could have been bought and delivered by a third party). Initially Jimmy stated he bought the basket from a local store with an excellent reputation, but later in the conversation stated he put the basket together himself. His comment was: you know the Italians, the cookies took a year and a day to come over from Italy. Having had experience in retail, a reputable store will check expiration dates and pull items about to expire off the shelf. I think Jimmy buys these at a discount and puts them in his baskets. What’s worse if it was not for the vigilance of my guests, these products could have been consumed and someone could have became ill as a result. I think he should stick to flower arrangements, at least he will not get anyone sick.

I was out of town when a close friend passed and I could not get back for the service. I called Jimmy and explained that I wanted to send an arrangement that expressed my regret as well my love and respect for the family. He came through in a big way. It provided a focus on the better things and raised the spirits of those that saw it. Beautiful and classic.

June Florist is not what u want if you are planning a wedding. The guy who runs it is named Jimmy. We hired Jimmy to do our wedding what a travesty. Lets start with all the meetings and all the planning that I guess jimmy forgot. We had three meetings with him, three telephone conferences, and sample provided at the location. The ultimate product was nothing like the sample. Jimmy took it upon himself to change everything. Jimmy has to be one of the dumbest guys I have ever met. His staff works hard but works hard at providing nothing that you want.
The boutonnieres that were ordered were never even given to us by Jimmy.
He asked me if there was anything I liked about the work he did — the answer was sadly no.
Stay far away and look somewhere else.

I ordered flowers from June Florist to be delivered to a funeral in NJ. The charge was 138.00. I agreed and the flowers arrived on time. The following day I checked my MasterCard and saw the charge from June for 138.00 and one for 846.00 from Clinton National Wholesale Florist. I called Master Card to dispute the charge, and they told me to call June Flowers first since it looked very suspicious. Therefore I called June and spoke to Jimmy. «Oh yeah, I remember that — he said… it was a mistake and I’ll refund the money». He went on to saying he meant to give his credit card number, but gave them mine in error. Does he really expect me to believe he didn’t realize this was not his credit card number. This was a blatant illegal transaction, totally intentional and I’m sure not the first time he’s ripped off his customers. I urge you not to use June Flowers, he is dishonest

June florist did a beautiful job on my flowers for my wedding on ¹⁰⁄₆ at Marina del rey. Jimmy was very nice and friendly throughout the times that we went to visit him. My bouquet was beautiful with calle lilies and roses (i had purple, lavender and cream as my colors)
there was a slight delay with the flower delivery at the venue though. they were an hr late but as soon as they got there they set up the ceremony area quickly and nicely and got the reception room set up. Overall i was happy with the results of the flowers. Everyone came up and told us how beautiful the flowers were and everything.

Jimmy and his crew made my dream and vision come true for my engagement party…
June florist came highly recommended and now after using them for my special event i know why!!! my centerpieces were gorgeous– jimmy worked with me through out the process and accommodated my changes, additions, and my anxiety. up until the day of the party he had his driver drive my my house the morning of my party to show me the exact color of the orchids he was going to use. perfect!!!
every thing was perfect– will definitely use him again… if we weren’t having a destination wedding jimmy would definitely be doing my wedding!!! thank you again jimmy and june florist…

Jimmy and his team at June Florist did an absolutely amazing job on our wedding flowers! Jimmy made my vision a reality and I was thrilled with the outcome. And our guests are still talking about how beautiful they were!
I can’t wait for my next friend to get engaged so I can personally recommend June Florist.

June did my son’s wedding and engagement party. The arrangements were spectacular. Now my younger son is getting married and of course we went to June. They gave us some great samples to choose from and they couldn’t be easier to work with. It would be hard to find a better flower shop to work with.

After being warned about NOT going to this florist — because he doesnt show up/​doesnt give you what you want — I decided to go for a differnet florist.
My friend did not take the same advice, and used June Florist for their wedding this past December 2012. The flowers and arrangement that showed up were NOT what the bride and June agreed on.
1– Brides bouquet was completely wrong!
2– Centerpieces were not the right flowers, didnt include the branches, and the candelabra did not have WORKING CANDLES.
overall the bride and team were very disappointed.
we know he looks cheap and that everyone else is more expensive. BUT HE IS CHEAP FOR A REASON. DO NOT USE THIS FLORIST!

the worst customer service. tasteless arrangements. delivery 5 hours late. never apologized and lied about calling back to resolve the issue. never again!!!
