I used to order from them all the time. However, last time they messed up the order and grubhub told me to speak with Jalin. I did and he was super nice and said that next time I ordered they’d throw in free soy cheese to make up for their mistake. Jalin told me he was the owner. So today when I placed the order and put that in the notes I got a call from them saying that no Jalin worked there and they wouldn’t honor it(I wasn’t asking for free food — just to throw in the soy cheese for no charge like I was promised). Manager Marcus was stunningly rude on the phone. When I asked who the owner was to see if it was a simple mispelling on GrubHubs part he refused to tell me. It’s a real shame — I used to order from them at least twice a week but I’ll be getting my burritos elsewhere with better customer service.

Second time I ordered, second time the food came in C-O-L-D. Not a little warm — straight up cold which made it bland. Never again.

The delivery didn’t take that long but… ¡Me duele el estomago! After having the chili and a couple bites of beef fajita my stomach cramped and it was time. I guess LA hates salt because neither the chili nor the fajita had any seasoning. It was as if they just browned up some meat in a pan and there you have it. If this is any indication of an «LA» burrito, I make better ones in my Bed Stuy kitchen.

LA burrito has TERRIBLE customer service and NEVER gets our order right. I don’t recommend them, they are horrid.

I love that they offer non-dairy options as I am allergic to milk products, however I placed an order with instructions to make everything dairy free and everything I ordered has cheese on it. I even paid extra to have soy cheese put on my nachos. I called the store and the employee that answered the phone was undoubtedly stone out of their mind. I stated, «I just ordered food and the order is wrong.» They replied, «Wait you just ordered and it’s wrong?» I repeated, «I had food delivered and the order is wrong.» They more confused than ever said, «Wait you just ordered but you have the food… how…wait?» I explained, «I ordered the food, it was delivered, and the order is incorrect.» Though it would be pretty rad to have food immediately appear after hitting place order I am unaware of that technology at this time. The delivery guy refused to ring the bell and come up to my apartment, which normally I really don’t care but I have a knee injury and am avoiding stairs. Mainly I just wish more places would read the special instruction on the Seamless. In the future I’ll try to place an order over the phone with Cheech and Chong themselves. Over all the food is great if they get your order right. I guess that all depends on how good the weed is at the store that night. Now I writing this as I wait for my replacement food, perhaps I should have just ordered a dime bag.

This was the absolute worst delivery experience I’ve ever had. Let’s paint the picture. 1. 9:05 place an order on seamless for a burrito and a salad. Estimate is 45 – 55 minutes. No problem, I know I’ll have to wait for a bit. 2. 10:05 I decide to call and check in. Still doing alright, just want to make sure my food is on its way. No worries, they assure me it’s already out for delivery. «5 minutes away.» Great, because I’m hungry. 3. 10:30 I call back. I ask them to call the delivery guy and make sure he a) has my order and b) has the right address. They apologize, say it’s a very busy night, and that he just has many orders to get to at once. I’m not really happy, but if I get a(somewhat) warm burrito in the next ten minutes things will be okay. 4. 11:09 No burrito. Really? Now I’m not a happy camper, and I’ve raided my fridge because I started to feel woozy. I call back again and it turns out THEYNEVERMADEMYBURRITO. The kitchen is also closed, and they went ahead and cancelled my order. This is not priceline where I name price and hope I get somebody to bite. I order food, I pay for food, I(theoretically) eat that food. This place sucks. They made me infuriated, and for that I can’t easily forget. Do not recommend.

The WORST customer service I have ever experienced, hands down. My boyfriend and I have tried this place a few times now. The last time our order was completely wrong and they had to correct the problem. Last night we ordered for the last time. We called before placing our order to see if they could make a burrito without onions(he is allergic and they have done the same for us previously). They assured us they could. We ordered, got our food, and about two bites in my bf was in the bathroom. The burrito was riddled with raw onions. As if that wasn’t enough the chips we paid for were completely stale and my burrito was also incorrect. BF calls the restaurant to ask why the wrapper it came in had No Onions clearly written on it and to say that the chips were stale. The woman on the phone was pleasant and accomodating but in the background was the owner, Emmanuel. He said he was not willing to refund the price of the burrito without proof that there were onions in it and said he was sending his delivery person back to collect the food. He then continued to be combative and say that there is no way this happened and he needed proof. I worked in food service for years and have NEVER seen such awful customer service. Please order from Taqueria De Los Muertos on washington instead.

TERRIBLE customer service. Was mix up with order and despite numerous calls and repeated assurances that food was«on its way» it never arrived. Did not receive an apology only excuses. Wish I could review the food, unfortunately that is not an option.

I order from here… way too much. I have never been inside the actual store BUT I have tasted almost the entire menu via Grub Hub(It’s okay, judge my choices. I understand lol) My favorite things to order are: Rice Pudding Plain Tacos Fish Tacos Breakfast Burrito Chicken Burrito The only food item I thought was gross was the nachos. GROSSSSSSS omg it’s basically just chips huge pieces of chicken and mad green peppers. Don’t do it to yourself. It’s affordable and great tasting and replaced that one other place I used to go to(see other reviews for that massacre of my happiness)

Relocating from California we were dying to find a good Tex Mex and we finally found it here at LA Burrito. The chipotle chicken burrito was excellent. What I call a «wet» burrito it was loaded with pulled chicken, salsa, refried bean etc etc. We also ordered the very good chunky guacamole and chips. Everything was quality and we will definitely be back to try the chicken fajitas. If you are looking for good Tex Mex try this place in Prospect heights, you won’t regret it.

I came here with a friend after he kept going on and on about how good it was. Yes, the food was good, but nothing out-of-this-world, just good. I had the broccoli quesadilla which, yup, had broccoli in it, but it was a bit low on cheese. Otherwise, the salsa, guacamole, and chips were tasty. The location itself is right on the corner, so it is easy to find. Inside, its your usual sorta-hole-in-the-wall kinda place. You’re not going to find any fancy/upscale/modern décor here — it’s more about the food. I’d come back here again, but it’s not the best Mexican I’ve ever had. I would like to come back at least one more time to try one of their burritos(since that seems to be the most popular/most talked about item).

Review is on the chicken burrito. I actually ordered a shrimp burrito but when I opened my bag I had a chicken burrito. When I called to explain the mix up the owner said maybe the guy didn’t understand the order he gave him. I only ate Half of my burrito and I woke up to gassy stomach pain. I don’t know what bothered my stomach, but I regret eating it. I was in pain throughout the day. Place was clean and the Owner was nice. He gave me Guac and chips while I waited for my order. However I will not return. I ordered the food last night and I still feel some gas pain.

Only eaten in the restaurant. Never got delivery, so this is from my numerous experiences sitting down. Pros: Inexpensive, FRESH vegetables, friendly staff. Was in here at 11AM and needed first coffee of the day. I was told they don’t sell coffee on the menu, but they’ll give me one anyway from the staff machine. Didn’t charge me for it. Left a nice tip. Homemade salsa. Valentina hot sauce on every table. Spanish-speaking staff. One evening when I was there, they were playing some heavy metal. Pro or con? You tell me. Cons: When eating in, it’s 50⁄50 whether they give you some nachos w/salsa. The juices in the window look incredible, but are out of my price range. Go there, order from there, eat and be healthy.

Dropped by for an afternoon snack. I just wanted a quesadilla to go. After about five minutes, it came out in a bad. The bag was heavy. I didn’t just order a quesadilla, I ordered the quesadilla MEAL. There was rice and beans and tomato and lettuce toppings. And the dude threw in some green chile sauce to boot. So much for a snack on my way to the train. But I still ate the whole damn thing as I walked, looking like one of those weirdos you ignore on the street but still notice but you’re all blasé about it because it’s NY and we’re a dime a dozen. Oh, and the quesadilla meal was FIVEBUCKS and FILLING. What a deal!

When one restaurant bites the dust, another takes it place. My new obsession is this awesome Mexican place. It has amazed me for the decade that I have lived in New York coming from L.A. that the Mexican food is atrocious. Most places do not have horchata, which is a must for authenticity. The bulk of the fast food Mexican restaurants are run by chinese! Shameful! So my delight at giving this place a go is that it is perfect in every way. Reasonable prices. The staff is super friendly. I have now tried the Spinach & Huevos Rancheros burritos and both were yummy! Lots of variety and healthy alternatives for vegans, I hate to give away this neighborhood’s best kept secret. Chavelas is so overrated dlthough kudos to them for reviving the cool location. Way to cramped for my taste.

Good portions good prices. Stopped by here with a pal. He had three beef tacos. These tacos were stuffed and he said they they were tasty. I had the nachos topped with shredded chicken.

I’m not going to complain about the prices, because these are seriously tasty and CHEAP burritos with endless possible veggie combinations. If not for this newcomer, I would be eating Maya burritos, which are good. There’s just a woman named Maya I don’t like, and I always have to try hard not to think of her when I eat there. But I love LA, so hello burritos! The Mission burrito with guac was perfect. It was a manageable size, very fresh tortilla, just crunchy enough broccoli, and there were 4 oz. of guacamole on it as promised. I left there a happy new customer.

So… NY food is a strange animal. There are just so many people here, the feedback and failure rates are completely skewed and not related to quality. They just aren’t. This is how places like LA Burrito exist. In no other city would this place have 3 locations let alone be open for more than a year. Sheer foot traffic at their williamsburg location has allowed this place to thrive, where anywhere else it’s terrrrrible food would lead people to not come back. So what’s up with the food? It’s not from LA, Mexico, Puerto Rico or anywhere. It’s a hodge podge NY understanding of non-NY food. Real burritos in LA are a simple affair: Refried Beans, Meat(Carne asada probably), cheese, salsa. You get a Guasacaca-like avocado sauce, a fresh tomato salsa and usually a smoky hotter sauce on the side. I always get the grilled version cuz it’s amazing. YOUWILLNOTFINDANYTHINGCLOSETOTHISONTHEIRMENU. And like, is that so hard? Why not have your horrid mistakes and authentic Mexican food? It’s really easy to make too. Instead you get literally everything they think can go in a burrito, except for the simple ingredients listed above. The closest things they do have are all bland because in addition to not«getting» the food they don’t get spices either. They also do not understand the efficiency required in burrito making, nothing is set up correctly to be a seamless assembly line. It takes them forever. And for god sakes, warm up your horrible store bought tortillas. I am a picky person when it comes to NY food, I grew up in places where food had to be great to stand out. So, like any good pizza has to be better than the lowest common denominator(say pizza hut or something) this food needs to be better than say taco bell, but there aren’t really many taco bells in NYC. So this food has to be better than, as a minimum bar, the korean-run happy taco style chains where you can always get the same chickeny thing. This place is not better than literally any yellow awning taco place you can find.

So like others have said, it works. It’s not exactly what I would call a la burrito by far because it isn’t. This is like the person you settle for. I’ve been here on two occasions. The first time I had the chili beef burrito which wasn’t hot at all. The burrito was puny. I was imagining a monstrousity. The second time I had some enchiladas, which suckedddd equally. With that being said. Make some better salsa. Different types. And get rid of the franks redhot and Valentina that you have on the table. Fresh made juices would work as opposed to your proportioned drinks which give me that weird feeling. And if your going to have burrito in the title, make sure the burrito is fucking huge, epic, and delicious. Just please, make this place good.

Finally found a local mexican joint in the neighborhood! LA Burrito reminds me a lot of the hole-in-the-wall places back home and the flavors in their burritos are actually really good as well! We tried their chicken and shredded beef burrito — impressive weight those things have! They are filled to the brim with rice, beans, tomatoes, sauce, and meat. We also got a small side of guacamole and chips. While the guacamole was definitely on the small side(i was very disappointed because i LOVE guac), I was a big fan of the chips — thick and delicious, not the thin and easy-to-break nonsense some other restaurants serve. Overall, i was really pleased with the variety of the menu as well as the flavors in the burritos. The true test will be their breakfast burritos — that shall be my mission for the next time ;)
