Best cheese slice in the ditmas/flatbush area. It’s a shame they don’t deliver. Whenever i’m around newkirk I make it a thing to stop in and have a slice here. its right off the train and has been around for a long ass time.

I took my kids to this spot because i heard it was the best around. The guy told 15min comes to find out they are just preparing my pizza and the wait will be longer. 30min passes and pie still isnt done so asked where my pie he shows me orders from other people. Mean while the weather changing and i have my kids waiting. I dont recommend anyone to go here the service sucks and the place is ghetto and a mess

This was simply the best pizza I have ever had. Tried a Plain slice and Grandma slice. The Grandma slice had so much flavor. A garlic lovers dream. Prices are good and service is fast!

DELICIOUS!!! Just finished a chicken with vodka sauce slice and last time I got a chicken parm deep dish pie and a pepperoni/mushroom regular pie. The guys that work there are really nice too.

the pizza is mad good! they have many different slices that are off the hook. the quality is way better than most pizza shops in the area. the topping are too good to get a plain slice! you’ll see.

One of the best pizza shops I been to in Brooklyn been coming here since I was a kid and believe it or not still the same taste it’s always been and I’m also friends with the owners in my opinion this place is way better than that pizza shop called di faras on Avenue j and I also like there cheese calzones

Had a Sicilian with crispy crust. Sauce is very good, brings it all together. I am hooked.

Great pizza with lots of varieties! Big slices, quick service and good prices. I usually come here after school and it’s not always packed. I’ve always had a great experience coming here. They don’t mess up your orders or get mad. They have lots of tables and a bathroom.

The business hours are«whatever they please,» so be mindful of this issue. Pizza is good Brooklyn Style pizza. The staff is nice, but sometimes busy :-). I love the plain slices. Reasonably priced.

Come on… deliver. You know you want to deliver. You know we want you to deliver… so let’s get on with it and deliver. The only thing that stands between me and another 5 pounds of belly fat between now and January is you not delivering. So what’s it going to be? Your move, Loduca’s

Moved to this part of town about a year ago every time I go in here the service is good. The pizza is probably one of the best in Brooklyn for counter slice pizza I really recommend the chicken parm or just a regular slice! Keep it up guys this location is awesome!

Just moved into the neighborhood, and so happy that I found this place right away! The proprietors are the real deal — Italians from Palermo, Sicily. I overheard them speaking Italian behind the counter. Super-friendly, and they make a mean pizza, too. I tried the Margherita, with fresh mozzarella, and my Italian parents and boyfriend loved it! Crust was perfect, sauce was the real deal, and fresh basil sprinkled on top. Yummy! I ordered on the spot, and they made it pretty quickly to order. I will definitely be back to try their Sicilian-style Grandma and Grandpa pies, and some of the other offerings, too!

It never fails with their pizza ! I grew up eating at this pizza shop. It’s very authentic. And their Dough they use. Very tender NOT chewy ! I despise chewy pizza.

One of my favorite pizza places in Brooklyn! I’m not just saying that because I grew up up the block from it. I’m a New Yorker and we’re picky about a good old fashioned Brooklyn slice. Not to mention they switch up the specialty pizzas often compared to most pizza shops that just use the same x amount of pies.

Love this place. Out of all of the pizza places in the area, Loduca is my overall favorite. The best thing about Loduca(other than their pizza being awesome) is they like to switch up the kinds of pizzas they put out. It’s annoying when pizza shops never change up their options. My favorites are chicken a la vodka, lemon chicken and chicken parmesan. They make a pretty mean grandma slice as well. It’s not really the type of place where you would want to dine-in, so I typically pick up. My only wish is they would start delivering!

Given the press Lo Duca has gotten fairly recently from Slice and other sources – and the fact that I pass by it frequently on the subway train – I made a point to stop here for lunch one day. Being in Newport Plaza, Lo Duca does a brisk business with slice turnover being very good. It looks like a raw, stereotypical slice joint inside because that’s exactly what it is. The owning family makes the pies, and all of the staff are pretty friendly in a Brooklyn kid of way. I got the much trumpeted grandma slice. It was a good slice, but nothing more. The sparingness of the tomatoes was a double edged sword. On one hand, yes this does add more variety between bites as well as the cheese meeting the crisp bread on much of the slice. On the other hand, this create an imbalance between chunks of tomato, garlic, and cheese instead of those ingredients coming together. The crust was thin and crisp, but it didn’t really impress me flavor-wise either. All in all Lo Duca would be very worthwhile if I was nearby, but not necessarily worth a special stop. Lo Duca is a good Brooklyn slice joint blown up into an ideal by a pizza blog. There is nothing wrong with it not being a cosmic beacon of awesomeness. My issue is that I’ve heard some comparing this place to Di Fara. No. fucking. way. Other than being in Brooklyn, owned by Italians, and serving slices, what are the similarities? I believe it has to do with some people trying to set a trend for the next big thing, but more importantly(although related) it has to do with nostaglia for quality slices of NY pizza that are increasingly rare nowadays. My question: have we become so desparate for the slice joints of New York past that we venerate each traditional one that we have left? Time will tell, and I hope for our sake that Lo Duca doesn’t become famous for this reason alone.
