The food is delicious– everything is cooked fresh. The chicken tacos are amazing. My only negative is I didn’t like the salsa. Taste like catsup

The food here is okay — tasty, but not the highest quality meat: we had a few«crunch» moments while eating chicken enchiladas. Service is attentive and friendly. It’s a big space too, so it’s great for group.

I like their chicken nachos but their chicken quesadillas are on fried corn tortillas. I asked what happened and the waitress said that is how we do it here. Lame.

I placed an order for delivery because they offered it. An hour later I call back to see if they were still going to deliver otherwise I’d go somewhere else to eat. I was staying at a hotel literally a few minutes away but it was late and I didn’t want to walk. Lady that answered the phone could speak English and I never got a coherent answer from anyone. Hour and a half later still nothing so at this point I’ve just starved and will have to wait until the morning. If you can honor an order than don’t accept it. I understand it can get busy but you can’t expect people to wait 2 hours for an order that doesn’t show up.

Veeeeeeery nice food. Also good prices. But sometimes service it sucks. I think fahitas with beef is one the best plate ever.

Had lunch at Los Tres Potrillos in Sunset Park. I Went here not expecting anything special. I did not realize that it was a Mexican Restaurant but was very pleasantly surprised by the menu choices. Everything we ordered was fantastic. I had Carnitas(roast Pork) The size of the portion was incredible and the taste excellent. Plate came with salad and Guacamole and rice and beans. The appetizers were also large and tasty. Will definitely go back for dinner.

Love this place I go all the time food is delicious, amazing portions, staff is very friendly(are Spanish speaking) but try their best menus have perfect translations anyways, I usually order a steak comes with rice and beans and a large orchata drink, food comes out the back pretty quickly especially since I lose track of time snacking on complimentary nachos which I believe are freshly made in the restaurant. if u like central American food this is the place to go, they deliver, acepct credit, and have parking lot in back(very rare to find parking in this area so)

I came in after a long business meeting expecting it to be great. I ordered steak nachos which is my favorite in any Mexican place. When I received it, the whole plate was dry. It was so dry I asked for sauce on the side. Then I got my sauce and the sauce tasted funny. Thank god I didn’t throw it all over. The cheese wasn’t melted and it just seemed like they threw a big slice of cheese on top of the steak. Not really a fan of these nachos. The steak wasn’t that great either. It was really dry. It seemed like they got frozen steak and just threw it on top of a plate of chips and beans and a slice of cheese and then topped it with guacamole and all that stuff. Not my favorite place for nachos

I’ve been there twice, once with a large-ish group, and service was fine and food decent. Four stars all around, given the price. More recently, I went with my girlfriend. We’re gringos who can speak enough Spanish to order, etc. The waitress was uninterested, verging on surly. Got our order wrong. Didn’t check back. Didn’t bring the check when we asked. Didn’t itemize prices on the check, so I don’t know how much those beers actually cost(they’re not on the menu). Three stars for food, one for service.

Amazing food. Crappy service. When we walked in nobody greeted us, they just stood behind the bar staring at us like we were ghosts. We had to ask them several times if we could just sit anywhere before they finally answered us. We ordered margaritas. They were meh and definitely not worth $ 10. I ordered the shrimp enchiladas. Again when I asked for them to come with mole sauce she stared at me like I had two heads. The enchiladas we’re awesome. My boyfriend got the shrimp burrito and liked it. I thought it was really great. We hated the salsa that came with the chips, there was something sweet about it we didn’t like. Even though the food was awesome I doubt we’ll be back. The service was that awkward.

I went here with my roommate to eat and have margaritas. The first red flag was that the place was basically empty on a Saturday night. They did not give me a drink list and I was astonished to find the the tiny margarita that had barely any alcohol in it was $ 10. Also, I had ordered the chicken fajitas that was priced as $ 14.95 on the menu, and was then charged $ 20 for them before tax. Don’t plan on coming here unless you’re interested in getting ripped off.

Came here for some tacos and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The food was actually good. The tacos were overstuffed and very tasty. The carne asada and barbacoa(lamb) was delicious. The wait staff were extremely friendly and the prices are super reasonable. I will definitely be back to try the other stuff in their menu.

I love Mexican food. I always have and I always will. BUT… Mexican food(from restaurants) makes me sad after I eat it. So I vowed on this trip to the US to lay low with the stuff and just make some when I get back home. Needless to say… I ended up at a Mexican restaurant(it was either there or McDonald’s as it is my fiancé’s birthday and I let him choose for once). And he picked wisely(well, lesser of the two evils…) This place was a little bit more authentic than I was expecting, actually. It looked sketchy upon walking in, but the loud music and people dancing around having fun quickly made me forget that the place looked like an old Soviet cafeteria converted into a Mexican restaurant(no offense old Soviet cafeterias). I ordered a beer and some enchiladas with mole sauce. Not really all that Mexican of me, but I don’t particularly eat meat, so I had to adjust a few things with it. They came out and were smothered in the mole with some fresh avocado on top. And quite frankly… it was delicious. I came here only wanting something small, so I really only ate half of one, but I would have scarfed down the rest had I been more hungry. The rice and beans that came with were quite good too. If you’re in the area and looking for some Mexican food, I can highly recommend this place. The chips and salsa were just so-so, but the actual food had it goin’ on!

Speaking of good Tacos, I stumbled upon some really good tacos and chimichangas in Brooklyn all thanks to the crappy R-train in Brooklyn. One evening on my way into Brooklyn to visit family a R-train broke down and I was stuck at 36 St. station in Sunset Park and I just need to go one more stop to 45 St. station. First I waited and waited but it got more crowded. I could not stand the heat and the crowd anymore so exited the station and started walking down 4th Ave. I started to get hungry and stumbed across Los Tres Potrillos which had a lot of people enjoying themselves. They had tacos in 12 ways and they only cost $ 2.50 each! Whoopee! Thank you Taco spirits. After eating a Carne Asad and a Pollo Asado Taco I was happy and the walk was tolerable. On a second visit I tried the Pollo Asado Chimichanga(one of my favorite words) platter at $ 10.95 to go. It was delicious! There is so much on their menu I will be happy with this place for a long time. Their menu is quite beautiful with many detailed photos of their dishes. Is the food authentic Mexican? All I know is I enjoy it a lot.

I love this place, I had the sirloin steak Tampico style… medium rare, mad good. Delicioso. I like this place a million times more than Matamoros. I love the diner setup of the place. But here are the minor cons: 1. The chips and salsa. the chips were bland the salsa tasted like ketchup. 2.When the plates arrived there weren’t any utensils at our table. 3. Very low key ambiance, I felt like an extra in Lady Gaga’s Telephone video… all you hear is the clancking sounds of utensils hitting the plates. Luckily we all didn’t die! But overall I recommend los potrillos for family, friends, dates, I love the whole diner layout of the place. Please bring extra cash, so that you could play your favorite tunes from the jukebox… come on down to Sunset and dine at Los 3 Potrillos, it’s worth the trip.
