I love this place. Definitely appreciate the big windows, openness, outlets and comfy couches. A great place to buckle down and work.

Huge tables to sit and work, good coffee, free Wifi, lots of outlets and friendly staff. The music is horrible though! Plz stop playing the same album over and over again!

They say they open at 7:30 on Saturday, but if you have a deadline to meet, don’t bank on it. Without a sign on the door or anything, at 8:15am their door was locked(although one customer was inside working). Around the corner the entire staff was smoking and said they were out of cups so they were closed for a temporary staff meeting and wouldn’t let me in to get set up and start working. Very rude and unprofessional. It makes me sad to write this review because I’ve been going there since they opened but this morning was unacceptable.

The coffee is good, but the prices are kind of high for the amount you get. I had a tuna croissant and a coffee while my friend had a vegetable sandwich and a chair tea. We payed around $ 27, which in my opinion is kind de of expensive. The place is bright and the atmosphere is nice, there were lots of people working on their laptops so I’m guessing that there is free wifi. Overall, a nice place to have a coffee, and they also serve it to go.

Great place to work. They have a huge common table with more than enough outlets and they not only don’t mind people staying there all day, but encourage it. Also, the baristas are very friendly. Their coffee, on the other hand, is meh. I’ve never spit it out, but its nothing remarkable. They don’t mix their iced lattes so you always end up with syrup and milk at the bottom of the glass and espresso at the top, which is a bit annoying. Espresso lovers probably would not like their espresso. I mask espresso with milk and sugar so I don’t mind it, but I can tell through all of that that the espresso is not very good. I’m sure it would taste gross by itself(well, to be fair, I think all espresso tastes gross by itself). This place gets 4 stars for being so cool with and accommodating to working people.

Ok coffee, nice array of outlets and decent wifi. I’d hang out at this place more often, but the staff has a VERY annoying habit of playing the same album over and over until your ears are bleeding. Oh yeah and the coffee is overpriced.

Weekend morning, ordered a coffee and muffin to find green MOLD covered the entire inside of the muffin. So gross. Employee examined and offered a different pastry, but serving rotten food is just not ok. Only good thing about the place is ample seating.

Coffee was pretty bland, my friend got a cappuccino and it was really small. I love the vibe of the place and the staff is great!

I love coming here with my sister to study. The staff is super friendly and we love the atmosphere. It’s hard to find a comfortable place to study that also sells kosher food and this place has both! I’ve already introduced this place to a few friends, who love it too!

I didn’t like this place at all. The only good thing was it had a nice atmosphere and it was clean. And the staff was helpful. But besides that it is a no for me. The Cappuccino only comes in a small 8 ounces. And it was served to me lukewarm. The pastries didn’t look too appetizing, so I didn’t have any. Plus they are pretty limited. They have a strange assortment of salads. The combinations of the salad mixtures and the odd dressings just seemed like unpleasing flavors to the palate. Maybe some like those«exotic» tastes, but it was a little much for me. One more thing. their business phone doesn’t work. I called it ahead of time to see if they accepted credit cards, which they do. That is always annoying.

Stopping in at Manhattanville on the way to work is my only motivation to get out the door early enough to walk to work in the morning! The coffee is good and the staff are all friendly, good at what they do, and constantly make me feel like they are in my corner. Like once some lady and some man mouthed off at me while I was locking my bike by the bus stop outside and as soon as I got in the two people working told me they got a good look at the people and had been about ready to come help me if I had needed it. Or sometimes if they see me coming and can tell I’m in a hurry they will start making my coffee so it is already ready when I walk up to the counter(since I usually get the same thing). There are a few great work spaces and also some nice chairs for hanging out. In the summer sometimes they open up the big windows by the overstuffed chairs so it feels like you are sitting outside and when it’s like that, the chairs are close enough to the open window/doors that I can sit inside and my dog can sit outside if I want to stop in on a run without bringing the dog inside. Beyond all that, this place feels welcoming to all parts of the extremely diverse and rapidly changing neighborhood. It is the kind of cute coffee place that young gentrifying professionals(a group to which I begrudgingly belong) live for, but it’s also certified kosher and super welcoming of Hasidic neighbors and does not feel in competition with Caribbean neighbors or businesses, in spite of being in a neighborhood full of white businesses pushing out black businesses. I don’t know anything about the ownership or management, but most of the staff are black and everyone I have seen there are people of color so I have always suspected it might be owned by someone who is from the neighborhood. Whatever the case, I have seen all different members of the community buying stuff or hanging out there and everyone there seems to do their part in making it welcoming to everyone – which is remarkable to me because most places just aren’t like that.

Don’t foresee this place lasting, as it was absolutely dead on a weekend, and given that the barista had no idea what a Vietnamese Coffee was. That said, they did brew a nice vanilla latte, albeit at a steep price. Latte 13.903.90 12OZTOGO Vanilla 0.50 — — — — Subtotal 4.40 Tax 0.39 — — — — Total 4.79

I used to love this place until today. I am giving it two stars because the coffee and food is pretty up to par and the ambiance is generally okay. Today I experienced something completely different. It seems the people running this place want it to be more of a coffee stand than your cozy, coffee spot where people get work done. I say this because I was told first hand by an employee that in order to promote turnover and get people to leave, they put on loud, annoying music so people can’t possibly get work done and will be forced to go. I sat there for four hours and saw it with my own eyes: the second the place was full, the music was turned to full volume until the place started emptying out. I would say on a busy day like today that the music was extremely loud for at least three of the four hours I was there. I must add that I am a loyal customer. I may come and sit for four hours at a time but you can be sure that I will order plenty of drinks and food to make up for it. But it kinda kills the shop’s supposed friendly vibe when the employees want to chase the customers away and openly admit it. It’s pretty obnoxious and I will definitely be rethinking where I am going to work the next time I am going to a coffee shop.

I live pretty close by and stop by every so often. I’m a little torn about this place. The coffee is pretty good, the food is tasty, and there’s plenty of seating, but it’s very pricey and the service can be super hit or miss. I’ve gotten incorrect change(like off by several dollars incorrect), and they’ve gotten my order wrong almost every time I’ve ordered food(I usually order pretty simple, straight off the menu items). This place is decent to go to when you need to get some work done, need a good(expensive) cup of coffee, or a place to chill, but it’s not stellar. Also– they CRANK the heat in the winter, wear some layers!

Came here the other day. Same ol café amongst the hundreds of cafes in the area. They’re not serving up anything new here. Let’s break it down. I walk in and the barista is depressed like most cafes. I think it’s in the barista rule book to look nonchalant and have a «whatever» attitude. Lol well the barista seemed ok but did not smile or say a word. That’s why I say it’s just like other cafes. Same ol service. Also they offer virtually nothing appetizing to eat. Everything is like whatever. Nothing unique or made in house besides I think the oatmeal. It’s roomy inside though! Plenty of space to pop up your laptop and unwind. Good spot to lay back and relax but not so much for food & service. The latte I ordered was good. It was delicious. Barista got some latte art skills. I like nice latte art. Overall it’s blah n whatever. Just another café among cafes with a little more leg room.

This is a very welcome addition to the neighborhood. Baristas are friendly and the drinks are pretty well made. They loose stars from me mostly because they do not, ever, enforce the alleged non-computer sections they have set up. You can’t come here to chat with a friend because it feels like a library. If you want to eat something you’ll likely have to get it to go because chances are someone working on their Mac book having a coffee will be at every table for the next three hours(especially on the weekends). That said, they have pas yisroel bagels and cholov yisroel milk if that’s your thing. Now, if they’d just make some real room for those who want to meet over coffee or sit to eat food(and add some vegan options to the menu) they’d be five stars in my book.

This place is good, but it has pros and cons. Definitely exceeded my expectations for the area, but this is certainly not a destination coffee shop Great coffee, but the baristas aren’t the best, so the espresso drinks are just ok. Nice place to hang out, with lots of seating for singles or couples, but I’ve been in a couple times and the ventilation kind of sucks, so it has been very warm, a little sticky, and that greasy smell in the air that infects your clothes(nonstick spray cooking on a panini press). I thought the prices were good for coffee, but a little rich for the food: $ 4 for a medium sized muffin which seemed like it was frozen and not fresh?!

This is basically a working coffeeshop, which is really the only kind of coffeeshop that I like. The room is divided between tables(mostly 2-tops), bar stools, a long shared worktable with benches, and an upholstered seating area. Outlets are amply provided and mostly accessible. And the acoustics are better than average, so even when people are having a conversation, it isn’t intrusive or distracting to those who are working. The coffee is intelligentsia and they have a selection of pastries and nibbles, including savories like egg sandwiches and quiche. However, you should be warned that they warm everything by microwaving it, so there’s that. But they have so much space, so many windows, so much coffee, so many internets…

Places to sit. And a bathroom. I love BK! Manhattan can’t compete with that. :-) Other favorite coffee places nearby ate Sit and Wonder and Milk Bar. But this place has a more stylish atmosphere. Leather couches, marble and wood tables, nice lights and tons of big windows on a nice corner spot. No minimum on cards. Intelligentsia coffee! Great to hang out. Other previous location in Harlem.
